I stopped by here on my way to the airport. I almost didn't stop because it does not look very inviting from the outside. I am guessing is is a local place and most people don't mind the outside look. Inside was much nicer. The food is just your basic Mexican food and nothing special at all. There are so many great places in Houston that unless you really have a connection to this place, it is not worth going out of the way to visit. My food was good and nothing to complain about, it was just your average Mexican food.

great, Amazing food, but SUPER EXPENSIVE!!!!! just this past Monday I went with my wife and they charged me $75 for 2 breakfast lates with 2 drinks... ABSURD!!!

I started eating at this restaurant probably 15 years ago and would come here several times a week. The service is friendly, fast, and accurate. The food is ALWAYS fresh, flavorful, and delicious!I moved to Los Angeles about 11 years ago, and on a recent visit back to Houston had time for lunch at Rio Verde! It was wonderful to be back. I recognized a few of the ladies and was so heartwarmingly surprised when one of them actually recognized me too! After over 11 years of being gone. All my friends and family in the area still eat here regularly and consider it a mainstay of the community. We all highly recommend everyone you stop in, relax, and enjoy some authentic cooking.

I've been coming here for a very long time and now I'm able to review this place. The waiters and waitresses are amazing. The food is never a disappoint. The Rancheros is my fav meal. This is a family environment and I enjoy it so so much. I really can't get over how great all their food is and trust me we eat lol

I have been coming here since high school. Very fond memories here, I always get tripas, whatever it is put tripas always crunchy. But today I tired the gorditas tripas and menudo for my partner. Mine was terrific. No complaints. I will say I was pretty disappointed at the menudo, it wasn't bad but, just ok. There wasn't enough seasoning, and the pigs feet wasn't cooked with the menudo. It was placed in the bowl, you can tell because the pigs feet was pale and didn't change color from the broth. It didn't taste good the pigs feet taste like boiled unseasoned pig. If you don't want to mix the meat or (pigs feet) then make a separate pot. The pig is everything. Our waiter was so sweet and attentive, I enjoy this place and glad I came back for a visit.

My go to place for Breakfast tacos. The tacos are stuffed with a good portion of ingredients and are delicious. I highly suggest the potatoes, bacon and eggs tacos. The service from the staff is consistent and when ordering for pick up I have never had an issue. Rio Verde gets really busy in the morning so if you are dining in, expect a wait. For order pick up, I recommend calling and placing your order instead of placing it when you arrive.

This place was close for two weeks for the holidays and I come back to this nasty scene with a roach on the wall I lost my appetite this is so uncalled for the ceiling also caving in with mold this place is also packed all the time so I know they have the money to fix it very good food but I can't go back anytime soon

The staff was not inviting at all, rude waitress and the manager was worst, they did not have ice available for any drinks. I suggested sending someone. to get ice from store for the clients and they gat mad at the suggestion. We order the chilaquiles and apparently has the eggs scrambled in the chilaquiles we asked for the eggs to be sunny side up and charged extra for separating the eggs lol.
