Richmond Donuts

I hate to give a bad review, BUT I ordered a jalapeño sausage kolache which was delicious and an apple fritter. The fritter was way too hot. I've ordered them in the past from different establishments and they do not heat them up, however she did in a microwave and it seemed like a bit too long, but microwaves are all different, maybe theirs was old and didn't heat as well. NO it was way to hot and I burned the roof of my mouth and now I wait for it to heal over the next few days. Yes I should have been more cautious, but the few times in my 43 years of life that I have burned the roof of my mouth is usually from hot pizza. I assume it's the owner who was behind the counter, and she was very friendly, but my only complaint was the temperature of the fritter. I would def get the kolache again. Rant over, time to heal

Best glaze donut ever! I mean, wow! So chewy, soft and with the outer layer crispy. I've eaten donuts my whole life from all over this state, Louisiana, California and New York, and right here in Richmond, Texas is the best. There's a donut shop on Shreveport, Louisiana that's as good but their small size. Richmond Donut's are full size.

The donuts are always fresh, and the woman behind the counter is always very friendly. Good prices, decent selection...Even some off the beaten path donuts like green tea frosted. Not the most inviting place to eat in, so I always get my food to go. Kind of an unsuspecting, hole in the wall type location, but it's very convenient, so there's the trade off. I enjoy their donuts and as long as they are always fresh and served with a smile, I will continue to return.

Best donuts I've ever had! I ruin my diet for these every. Single. Time! I was a dedicated Shipleys girl before someone brought these to work and I am now ruined forever!

This is not a place I would spend time at. The atmosphere is not that inviting. From far away you wouldn't know this place existed, I had to use my gps. There is not a lot of parking either. Inside there are a couple tables and this very friendly woman who always greets me with a smile. She has a great variety of donuts, kolaches, and croissant sandwiches. My favorites are the ham croissants, the jalapeño kolaches and blueberry donuts. The dough is so soft and has a slight sweetness to it. Stay away from the chocolate donut with nuts, the nuts taste like they have been stored for a while and the cake donuts are pretty dry. The chocolate glaze though is very nice. One nice thing about their filled donuts is you get to choose the filling and she fills it for you right there. Over all, it's your typical donut shop in a very unexpected area. The prices are decent and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Always met with a smile and fresh donuts. We've been coming here for a long time and the quality is consistently good.

Glad I gave the place another chance a few times al. Owners are sweet, donuts and kolaches are good. Frozen coffee is ok...but service is good. They'll heat up your pastries. They do wear mask.

The owner is the sweetest person. She cares about her small business and works extremely hard to provide quality service to Richmond. I highly recommend y'all go here and support her! Amazing donuts and vareity of drinks.

Forget all other donut places. Richmond donuts has changed my expectations for how a donut should taste. Service: the cutest little woman dispenses these round sugar frisbees. She brightens your day before you even get to the donuts. Food: very good. The donuts are the softest donuts I've ever had, and not overly sweet. Atmosphere: there are places to sit here but the vibe isn't one that encourages you to. But what kinda weirdo goes and sits in a donut place to eat?

I'm from out of town and my first time here and will most definitely try to come back when I'm in town! I was nicely greeted when I entered and since it was my first time she was very patient (the wife of the owner was working and was very sweet) We kept a good conversation as if we were long time friends. I ordered 2 small kolaches, 2 LG jal kolache, donut holes and received two donuts as a gift :DThis place is very cute and pretty inside, clean and would love to see this business grow. I'm very satisfied with the food, store, and customer service:)
