Lucky to find some food in Katy that reminds me of NY. DELICIOUS is an understatement!!! Those pastelitos are some of the best I've ever had. Hubby and I had the pork chops and beef stew...we scraped our plates clean. Authentic!! We will be back VERY soon!!

Fantastic flavor, cooked with love. Everything we've ordered has been delicious. Chopped cheeseburger was on point. Pastelitos were delicious & tostones were addictive! Mofongo was just as good as when we had it in Puerto Rico. We'll be back!

My husband and I are New York Cuty transplants. I was raised in the 1950s in a PR household by my Mom and "Otra Mommy". Dad was Irish and worked long hours in the City. Lots of PR family around in the weekends! My Husband is Sicilian descent from Brooklyn and loves PR food. Growing up, every meal we had rice and beans. We frequently had aguacate and platano maduros, and then flan for dessert. We are delighted to have found Richie's in Katy. We live in retirement community on Hwy 6 south of I-10. Since it was our first visit, we almost ordered everything on the menu! It was all delicious and hot. Richie was so friendly and double checked our orders. We ate pastelitos, papa rellenos,, arroz con gondules (we each shared the beef and pork orders), it was a divine meal. It's the closest I've eaten to a home cooked meal in years. Be sure to go. You won't be sorry. We are already planning what to try next.

My Puerto Rican friend told me about this food truck. I went immediately since I've been craving some of that Caribbean cuisine you get back in Miami. The young man at the truck, I'm assuming is Richie, he greeted me with a great smile and helped me figure out what to try. Really nice guy. Went with the carne guisada with arroz con gandules and a mofongo with pork. Amazing! Seasoned to perfection, melt in your mouth tender beef. Mofongo was perfect too. So delicious and really good portions. Will be back again. Especially to get those papas rellenas that we're already sold out.
