Rice Bowl

The food is really good, I order 2 dishes off the Indonesian menu. honestly can't spell the dishes name but they made it on Houston chronicle wish one of these dishes. Service is good they help you order food if you have questions and then they keep an eye on you if you need to call them they give you the space for you to eat. The place is a little looks a little run down but don't let that ruin the experience it makes it better. The place is clean.

Do I recommend this business? Um yeah, like a thousand times. We strictly come here for the Indonesian food, so I cannot speak to the Chinese menu, but what I do know is this place has the best Indonesian food in all of Houston. My wife is from Indonesian and is obsessed with this restaurant. Who can blame her. The rendang is so tender you can cut it with a fork. And don't get me started on the sauce that it's cooked in. OMG. I could eat the sauce with just rice. Actually, I have multiple times. Don't judge me. My next favorite is the Soto Ayam. It's a crispy chicken soup with vermicelli noodles. Soooooooo good. It's like a party in your mouth. We also the love the Empek Empek. And did I forget to mention it's BYOB. What is there not to love about this place. Just make sure to bring your own wine glasses. We always have spare ones in our car. We like to party! Cheers y'all.

I grew up eating here, it will always be a choice. Food is cheap and the people taste is amazing with great portion size

I have never been disappointed with the Egg Foo Young. I've done Shrimp and combination.

They are very known for their Chinese food, but the food that you should be trying and can't find at most places especially in Houston. Is the Indonesian food. Personally, I recommend getting Beef Rendang, which is basically beef and curry kind of thing. Their Indonesian Fried rice is also pretty good as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful with ordering. And it is very clean and they are fast when the food comes out. I would come back again!

I'm not even gonna lie, this place used to be good but I went in today, and it was MID. I ordered the spicy beef , Extra spicy. And there was no spice. Their sriracha sauce was nasty. Chili oil was just oil (no flavor or spice) my girlfriends food tasted just as bland. No flavor , no spice. But good service. Lol disappointed tbh30$ for 2 flavorless plates, and flavorless condiments.

This is my favorite Chinese food place! I always get the combination friend rice. You get so much food for the money! I made the mistake of going to another Chinese food place ( see my other review-- I won't go there again). I don't know how their other food is because this is my favorite meal and I get it all the time! But the taste in the food portion is so delicious I don't go anywhere else.

Edit: food is super affordable here. It can be a bit loud inside but it's to be expected as well. There isn't a very long wait time for your food to be served. The food is simple but delicious. Definitely reminds me of getting street food.

Rice bowl never disappoints me. I grew up off of authentic chinese food and this place by far matches the authenticity that I am accustomed to. Olivia, the restaurant manager is very sweet and always accommodating. She's the main reason why I still come here and the food as well too. My go-to is the special fried rice with extra beans, sprouts, and vegetable Spring rolls crispy of course. I drive from Missouri City to Come here. That's how you know that this place is really, really good.Period.

Great food! But order to go pick up!! Not much of an ambiance! The best pick up Chinese in alief! I even dove from Sugarland for this Chinese! I don't understand why their crab puffs don't come with sauce, lol but everything is really good with great portions.
