Stopped in for a quick bite with some friends and now I keep thinking about these Korean beef tacos. Flavor was great and I loved how it was chunks of beef rather than ground beef. Chips and guac were also really good. Seems like they make the chips in house. And the watermelon drink was very refreshing on a hot day. The place was a bit small but enough to sit in and eat. There were 3 workers there and they got the food out pretty fast. Would definitely go again.

Revolution Taco has to be one of my favorite taco places in center city. I have been to this location multiple times with friends and co workers and always had a really good lunch. Super relaxed to eat in or very easy to get take out from. Something to note is that the food is made to order so sometimes there is a wait (but definitely worth it).

Revolution Taco is such a cute little taco spot for a quick bite to eat. The tacos are pretty decent and the spinach empanada is an absolute must. I also highly recommend the duck tacos!

Salmon Taco is cut up salmon and really likes the amount of Salmon. and it should have been such a large taco.We could also use more flavor perhaps a little spice in the aïoliThe smoke mushrooms are incredibly impressive. They managed to inpart a large amount of smoke into the flavor.

tl;dr with borderline bizarre ingredient choices and sky-high prices, the ambitious lineup of global fusion tacos falls flatFrom authentic to adventurous, food truck to fancy, Philly's taco game is no slouch. In a neighborhood already saturated with Mexican eats, Revolution Taco's Rittenhouse niche is in its innovative, globally inspired array of taco combinations. The long, narrow space is modern and thoughtful. You enter, greeted by a vibrant taco-themed mural. Black ceilings, whitewashed walls, and sleek muted furnishings allow the intentional splashes of color to pop. The tables are pushed against both walls, clearing a path to the checkout counter in the back. The menu is displayed on screens, which switch between images at a dizzying pace. A wall toward the back showcases dozens of chili varieties from across the world. My first visit to Revolution Taco was toward the beginning of the pandemic, back when takeout was a luxury affair. My memory of the meal was soggy tortillas and lukewarm fillings, but the flavors were inspired enough that I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Nearly 2 years later, the day finally arrived that I give Revolution another go.A friend and I visited recently for early weekday dinner and arrived at an empty restaurant. After a short deliberation, we decided to split duos of 3 varieties: the BBQ Spiced Cauliflower, the Grilled Salmon, and the limited-edition Ancho Chili Coffee-Braised Short Rib. Oddly, a patron who ordered behind us was sinking his teeth into his tacos well before we had our plates. But a few minutes later, I was hoisting 2 stainless steel trays back to our table.First, we sampled all 3 salsas: roja, smoked pepper, and verde. The former 2 had intense yet classic flavors, each with a hint of spice. In contrast, the salsa verde was overwhelmed by lime. Turning our attention to the eats at hand, each moderately large taco was wrapped with two limp, cold corn tortillas and supported by sturdy taco rack. The smoky cauliflower tacos, topped with tomato slaw and crispy tortilla strips, were the highlight of our meal. While flavorful, the cauliflower nonetheless remained a nice vessel to complement the salsas. The salmon tacos packed an initial pleasant punch due to the pineapple salsa and red pepper crema, but the aftertaste of salmon was unsettlingly jarring. A white fish or shrimp would have been a much more palatable pescatarian-friendly alternative. Finally the short rib tacos, slathered in garlic aioli and sprinkled with escabeche (pickled cabbage and radish), had a distinct and exciting essence of coffee, but suffered from poor execution. The ingredients were overly wet, my small portion of meat was beyond fatty, and the bold flavors conflicted. The 10% weekday student discount only slightly eased the sting of our expensive bill: $32 after tax and tip. And gone are the days of mix-and-match. You need to commit to 2 of any single menu offering (up to $15 for some varieties!) just to try a bite of a potentially underwhelming taco combination. While not actively bad, Revolution Taco was disappointing, and I don't anticipate giving them the benefit of the doubt another time around.

There is only one reason this is losing a star because the tacos were fantastic. I got the Pork al Pastor tacos, and they were extremely tasty. They took a decent amount of time to prepare (I didn't order in advance) but that was okay as it meant that they would be fresh for when I ate them. I'm really surprised there was only one person working at peak dinner time on a weeknight. There was someone behind me who I know had to wait even longer than I did for their food. Still though, the food is very solid, and I'll be back again making sure I order in advance.

When I first ordered the chicken tinga bowl, I was a bit disappointed since it looked like a bowl of lettuce and salsa. But underneath was some delicious rice, well-seasoned chicken, black beans, all tied together well with stringy shredded cheese and lime crema. The taste of the peppers really pulled through. I did not expect the food to be so tasty and would reliably call this one of the tastiest burrito bowls I've had (I've had 100s of bowls in my lifetime ). Portions may be small for some, but would definitely recommend!

I'll never order from here again. The cashier had a comment for any alterations I made to my order. People should be able to order their food in peace without the sense of someone judging them, let alone it being the person you're actually ordering from.

Tacos were pretty good. Interesting fusion concepts. Made fresh. Nothing incredibly special and a bit expensive, but good.Service was abysmal. Only one person working (that we could see) on a lunch shift. Completely ignored us for 10 minutes while we stood waiting at the register. Seemed upset we were ordering food.Doubt we'll go back.
