Rest House Cafe

Was in Houston on business and unfortunately the hotel was not super close to any restaurants worth while and I had. I car so decided to take a Chance an order to go. Ordered with the app on yelp which was super easy and gave me status on when order was received and when it was on its way to be delivered. Food was carefully contained and was still hot upon arrival. The chicken was very tender and has the right amount of spice on a layer of tasty rice. The hummus as a side was super tasty ( probably some of the best Ive had. The bread was large and I ordered 2 as I thought hey would be smaller however it was coated in sesame seeds and had a strange flavor. Not bad but certainly could not compare to some other Lebanese bread I've had from another Mediterranean restaurants. The baklava I ordered was flaky and soft not too crunchy and had a very good flavor.Overall very pleased with his find - if your in the mood for Mediterranean then this will not disappoint.

Good food and service. It is a hookah bar but was not overwhelming. The food was very flavorful and served hot. Will be going back next.

I love this place. It has a great feel to it. Great food and the best hookah I've had in Houston. I use ti come more often for lunch when I worked nearby but can't come as much since my transfer it I'm definitely coming back.

Visited this restaurant in a Saturday afternoon at about 1:30pm, for a couple of takeout dishes. Guess business was slow, there was one table dining in. I ordered the beef shawarma wrap and krafta kabob with hummus and eggplant dip as sides. The flavors were good and accompanying pickles really added interesting taste and texture to the dishes. It was decent, just a little pricey on the kabob in my opinion.

Spent nearly $40 on a dinner to be delivered. Pita bread was supposed to come with the hummus we ordered, and we ordered an additional order of the pita bread. None came with our food. The restaurant knew the moment I called that they had forgotten it but could only direct me to the grub hub phone system. The bag was completely covered on the inside with olive oil, all of the food was completely dripping wet with the oil. We have ordered from this place multiple times and this will be the last. Also, after dealing with the Grubhub customer service they were unable to contact a driver to get the bread for us and the restaurant told the service representative "that since the bread had no cost they were unable to do anything". I didn't want a refund, I just wanted pita bread for the overly oily hummus we spent $6.65 on. Would give ZERO stars if it was possible.

I love coming here for a chill Saturday for date night vibes with light bites and hookah, or coming on a school night to study. During some days they have specials and events- check their Instagram!!! Def will be back.

Really great, authentic Middle Eastern (Lebanese) cuisine. The homemade flat bread is made fresh on a brick oven and is nice and soft with a bit of chew. The hummus is delicious, and you can tell it is made fresh. The grape leaves were solid (wish there was a bit more filling in them) but very tasty. We tried the chicken, beef and Kafta kabaobs. All were excellent. The chicken (breast meet) and beef (tenderloin) were perfectly cooked with a bit of char. The Kafta was my favorite. It was juicy and flavorful. The accompanying rice and house Lebanese salad was also delicious. Good stuff!

Worst place ever. Service is horrible. The server claims to be the owner and will kick you out if you try to complain. Hookah taste like shit. The place smells like smoke. And drinks taste like they were made with sewage water. Avoid this place if you don't wanna get sick. 1 more they will charge you 18% for their horrible service. But luckily I will dispute the cc charge.

Cool hookah chill spot. Many flavors to choose from, you could even mix whatever flavors you like together. The food is always hot since they do cook it right then and there when you place and order. The lemonade is very good.
