Lovely birthday brunch experience! It has a fun ambiance with very friendly service. Bekah was super sweet and I really liked her. My boyfriend and I split the House French Toast with the mango-pineapple chutney. It was tasty but I wish it had had a little more fruit (you can see in the pic that it was a little low on the berries. I know it comes with the chutney but I'd have loved more of both!). The shakshuka merguez was a knock out of the park though - so tasty! That was the better of the two although both were very good and worth ordering. Can't wait to go back!

Maybe the best kept secret for happy hour? (4 to 7) Come here and order anything off of the starter menu. The fries, the cauliflower, the labnah, the beautiful cocktails. If it is a nice night sit and sip and nibble while dining on the beautiful outdoor patio. Order the blueberry crush cocktail. I did. It was fruity, boozy but not overly sweet. This is a good place. Anytime. But especially for happy hour.

Renata's is one of several brunch options available in the UCity area. I came here for brunch with my friends while they were visiting for the holidays -- I've also heard good things about their happy hour. We had a pretty big party but forgot to make a reservation, but the staff were able to accommodate us so that was nice. The vibes inside are nice and cozy. The staff are very friendly and attentive. As for the food, it's solid! I liked the sandwich I got (Croque Madame) and also tried some of my friend's Chicken and Waffles; all of these were good. My one thing is that I found some of the entrees rather pricy. I also got a Rose Chai Latte which was great.

Needed a happy hour spot in West Philly stat, so stopped by Renata's Kitchen. It's a cute and cozy spot with a second floor (didn't get to see what was going on up there). The vibe gives a good spot to catch up with friends or a date. Happy hour isn't shabby with some awesome cocktails. We had the wings, batata, and spanikopita which were all L I T. I'll definitely be back, likely for happy hour.

After a whimsical night out with a few colleagues, I was desperate for a hearty meal to fill my growing appetite. While Renata's Kitchen appeared to be the answer to my problems, I found its fresh and welcoming ambiance deceiving. For my entree I ordered "A Tale of Two Eggs". This entailed two eggs (cooked anyway), potatoes, bacon, and toast. I assumed I couldn't go wrong with the classics. I assumed wrong. My over easy eggs were fried to a crisp that my fork alone could not conquer without the aid of a butter knife. Moreover, my bacon slices were dry to the bone! I've had beef jerky in the Sahara desert that tasted better. I wish to not even comment on the toast slices. Truly a painful experience. Overall, Renata's Kitchen is no more than an overpriced trendy brunch saloon used as gentrification tactic in west Philadelphia.

Been here a million times the food is good and it's a reliable place in a pinch because there's almost never a wait. Drinks are pretty good though! I'm sad they removed the sumac margarita, it was my absolute favorite drink there.

Went here for brunch. Very open, inviting seating and clean environment. The service was very fast and the wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. They have great mediterranean small bite options: felafel, hummus and fried halloumi were all delicious. Only reason for the four stars is because the brunch items weren't at all on the same level flavor and presentation wise as the mediterranean dishes. I would be open to coming back and trying their dinner menu in the future. I would absolutely recommend trying the mediterranean options.

Came here for lunch with some friends, and we all really enjoyed it! I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy and tender, and the waffles were well done as well! The service was quick and the restaurant itself was very nice inside and was very modern. Overall had a great experience! I would definitely come back!

Very lovely ambiance and great food menu. A lot of options to pick from and a nice blend of Mediterranean and Breakfast sandwiches. Service was great too. The only reason I gave 1 less star is that I was bumped that the kitchen closed and we weren't informed about it so couldn't order dessert. Ordered rose chai latte cold, shakshuka, fried cauliflower and eggplant Sandwich. Everything was very delicious. The outdoor seating is beautiful.
