I have so much to say...TLDR: I recommend this bar all the way. Reasonable price, delicious drinks, amazing vibes. I went twice on a weekend trip to Durham and my bf and I enjoyed ourselves both times. Remedy has some cheaper outdoor seating and dark windows and I was surprised at what I saw inside. I put my face on the glass to see if they were open since they had a cool logo. The 2 bartenders smiled and waved, and we came back after dinner. They were helpful although not super friendly, which was fine since we were the only ones inside and my bf and I were enjoying our private conversation. Comfortable bar chairs and soft seating. They were playing goosebumps on Netflix, and had a really good music playlist. Unisex bathrooms. We were here after dinner and it seems like a later night place. We came back the next night since we liked it so much around 9 and it was busier. Most patrons were choosing to sit outside which perplexed me since it's so cool inside. Remedy seems like they don't know what they want to be. It has dive bar vibes, but great drinks and upscale furniture inside. It was just the atmosphere I wanted, but could see why people might not like it since it's not the norm. I think they could improve their cocktail menu, and potentially offer table service.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! This place oozes vintage charm which I love!! Lots of cozy spots to sit and catch up with your friends and enjoy craft beer and new takes on cocktails (like a banana old fashioned)!! The garnishes and glasses for serving echo the vintage surrounds and are thoughtful. Bathrooms were clean which is a rare occurrence for a bar. But did I mention: Tacos.literally.outside.

This was my first time here. The ambience is lovely. Despite being a small, hole-in-the-wall looking bar from the outside, the inside has lovely leather seating. There's $3 beers!! Also options for cocktails of course :)

Would recommend checking this place out! The atmosphere is really unique. I didn't get any food, but the craft cocktails are exquisite!

Atmosphere:Vibes are solid. Really a nice place to hangout and catch-up with friends. Food:The vegetarian options were not very good. The vegetarian cheese board is just the meat cheese board without the meat. But not like the meat was substituted with more or different cheese. Literally just the cheese half of the meat and cheese board for the same price. The vegan curried slaw that comes with some of the dishes was not seasoned well and very bitter/odd tasting. For reference, I am not a picky eater at all and enjoy a wide array of flavors.Staff:Staff is friendly and nice. No complaints.

Friendly bar service and very comfortable vibe here at Remedy! We walked over after a late lunch at Toro and enjoyed beer, whiskey, wine, and cocktails. Thanks, Rowan!

Great new spot downtown! Very chill vibe perfect for grabbing a drink with a date or friends. Loved the decor & the drinks were all amazing! The table favorite was definitely the grey garden martini.

If you like lowkey, almost speakeasy (but not quite) vibes, this is the place for you. Great, eclectic music that fit the vibe of this bar/lounge. The bartenders are what you expect, a lot of tattoos, quiet (unless you get them going, which is fun), and cocktail savvy. The drinks were very good and they have an interesting menu that includes many fresh takes on old classics. Only thing that's preventing me from giving a 5 was that for me, the drinks were a tad sweet. That of course is just personal preference so if I were you, and you like the vibe I described, you should come here.

We came in on weeknight and really wanted to like this place but unfortunately we were significantly over charged. We ordered $32 of drinks (based on their menu on all their tables) and the bartender charged us $52. When we raised this issue, the bartender was unreceptive and tried to find creative ways to avoid actually refunding the charge.

Went last night around 7 pm. The vibe is great, bartender was friendly. The drinks sucked. We got two cocktails, after mixing the drinks the glasses ended up about 2/3 full and he filled the rest with soda water. The entire drink tasted disgusting when drinking (like a very soda watered down cocktail) - paid $30 with tip to take two sips and decide to go down the road to a different bar.
