Refresqueria Arandas

Great for elotes and raspas. They don't have my favorite seasoning sauce like Chile and Lime has the suave and picoso one but it's pretty good. The corn is well steamed and cooked. Women are pretty nice. Not sure if they speak English because they automatically assumed I understood Spanish which I do a little. Good priced and takes cards as well.

The food and ice cream is good here. I would have made this a weekly thing if the prices weren't so high. #concessionstandprices

So I came in at around 7:30 and it wasn't packed which is great! As I walked in I noticed a bunch of pictures in the wall, I kept staring and then I realized that they were the things in the menu. I ordered a banana split and some nachos, the lady that was helping me was so cute. Anyways that's a touchy subject, good cam up quickly and hot which was good! The banana split was very tasty, I loved how they threw the crackers in there it made the ice cream taste fun. Anyways I feel like they could do a little bit better with the banana split. I think they should chop the banana into pieces or they should simply place it on the sides tbh. The atmosphere itself was missing something, i feel like they should give the place a repaint or touch it up! Overall food was a-okay! Ppl who worked there were nice and fast!

Great little hole-in-the-wall that my coworkers took me to for lunch break! The menu is mostly snack/dessert food and drinks. They have fries, elote, candies, chips, tortas, fruits, and drinks. Pricing is fair. Fries with queso, hot Cheetos, and jalapeños! Yum!The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would come again!

Agua fresca is a must after walking a lap at Boone Road Park. I was surprised with the great convenience. Just across the street from the park. This place is busy on Friday night. I usually stop by to catch my breath after exercise. This is a family run business. The staff speaks good English and their clientele is primarily Mexican. I felt comfortable eating here, because everyone seems to mind their own business. I've heard their ice creams were either made in house or coming from other stores. However, this is not part of the Arandas Family's chain (bakery and taqueria).Aqua fresca is served from a refrigerator, not giant jar as other taqueria. They use ice chips from freezing part of liquid, and then break them as part of drink. That's a smart way to keep the flavor consistent after ice melts. I've tried every flavor. There all my favorites. If this is your first time trying tutti frutti one, be careful with the chopped fruit pieces. Not recommended for small kids. Prices are $2.71 chico, $3.50 medium & $4.50 large.

This place is great! Right in my and my wife's childhood neighborhood. Folks that run the place are super nice too.

Fairly clean, accepts credit cards... not the best elote as it taste like it was made with sour cream and not mayonnaise.. good raspas and fruit cocktails!
