One of my favorite dining experiences.Went here with a friend on a slow night, but I can tell by their social media that the place is usually poppin on weekends.Chef Marcus showed gave us a tour of the restaurant and history of the building as well.We shared all of the food and they had no issue with making all the meals shareable for us.1: Towner's Mac & Cheese w/ buttered crab- it was absolutely perfect southern style Mac. The cheese, seasoning, and crab meat ratio was perfection. 2. Chicharron Deviled Eggs - I've never had deviled eggs with cronch to it, and now I don't see myself eating it any other way. Delicious.3. Hot Honey Salmon - Best salmon I've ever eaten in my life. Hands down.4. Coconut Sweet Potato Pie - it was good! My friend loved it more and ate pretty much all of it lolI'll definitely be returning when I'm back in Miami!

This area has a lot history and I'm glad this spot brings out even more of it throughout the ambience and food. This spot is definitely lively. It was pretty busy when we came with a large party. Starters: DEVILED EGGS (the Chicharron is a nice touch). The corn bread was good, be careful it can be meal in itself. A little hard around the edges but the center was warm and soft. I didn't have any but the wings did look good also. For the main course. I had to try the fried yardbird. It was delicious from the crispy skin to every bite. I would have loved a little of the sides. The salmon was also a hit and I highly recommend. Overall the experience was great even the club upstairs was chill with vintage feel playing throwbacks.

The food was great but I don't think the service could get worse. It took nearly half an hour just to order because the waiter was too busy flirting with our table. We were there to celebrate one of our friends and asked him to start the orders with her, however he made a joke to her about getting married and said he'd start at the opposite side of the table. He continued to take all the other girls orders before the bride to be order and even brought everyone's drinks out before even taking her order! It came off as very rude and immature. As we were ordering he continued to try to persuade us to order the meal that feeds 2-3 people. When the table received the drinks a different server brought out 3 too many however we did not accept them and told the waiter we did not order them wherein he took them back to the bar. When we received our check we asked if it could be split but the waiter expressed that it is too difficult so one member paid. When we each sat there to pay back the person who paid the entire tab, we noticed we were overcharged 4 drinks. We asked the waiter to take them off and he stated no I gave you guys a few free shots so it's all even. I stated if they were free shots then why are we being charged for it? We didn't ask or order the shots, he brought them to us and said they were free, yet after we were charged for 4 cocktails his story changed. Also I don't believe the price of cocktails and shots are the same. We went back and forth and ultimately some of our group didn't want to cause a scene so they decided to just leave without the refund. When we arrived it was very cold to the point even men at other tables were stating how cold it was. We asked if they could turn down AC a little and the waiter said no but I can give you my shirt and gave one of the girls at our table his server vest. Overall I was very turned off by the service. Our bill was $700 but we've been treated better at fast casual dining.

There was a bit of a wait for our table even having reservations however it was worth the wait . I had the catfish & shrimp over oxtail fried rice and it was really good. Seasoned well, lots of flavor. Drinks could've been a little stronger but was good as well. Love the ambiance of the place. Definitely a must try

This place was so nice to go to on a Sunday evening. The service was excellent and so on point attention wise, our waiter Yiscah was the best. Explain the menu and helped us pick our meals. The food was good and everything had an unexpected balance that worked well together. Like a lot.

Came here for my birthday dinner, left extremely happy. I have been wanting to come to this restaurant because all of the positive recommendations and it did not disappoint. Everyone was so pleasant to work with from the second you walked in you were greeted as if you were walking to a families house. The waitress made the best recommendations and could not have asked for a better waitress. My boyfriend and I ordered two appetizers and two entrées and everything was so fresh and had great flavors. We left their stuffed but with happy heart.Ambiance was amazing. & parking was on the side with oh by phone. Make sure you pay because if not they tow you Ordered : Food - corn bread - crab cake - fried chicken and biscuits - fish fry and oxtail fried rice - mac and cheese - peach cobbler Drinks - uptown- yes chef (not pictured) - little broadway Can't wait to go back ! Very nice staff especially the waiter Jeremy. He was informative and funny. The place is clean: inside, outside and bathrooms. The best things were the appetizers and drinks. Cornbread and potatoes are a must try. The entrees were fine nothing for me to rave about. It was the fried chicken and fish fry and oxtail fried rice. My friends ordered the peach pie with vanilla ice cream which the enjoyed.

This was my second visit to Red Rooster! I had to bring my mother - I told her they have Guyanese Pepperpot on the menu, so once she arrived in town this was on her list. She loved it, even though it was made slightly different than we make ours in Guyana;; we use cassareep for our sauce but it was still delicious. The meat falls off the bones. We also had the cornbread and the hot salmon. All great. Finally, the service is outstanding!!! Special shout out to Essa, she is an amazing server and I think just as a person in general. And Jose who was kind enough to give my mom a tour.I can't wait to go back and try more items. I almost forgot - the happy hour is good as well!

I am glad I finally made my way over to Red Rooster while I was in town. I've seen it for years and wanted to try it out. The restaurant itself looks great inside--they did a fantastic job with the decor and vibe. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The parking directly behind the restaurant is a bit pricey, but there's plenty of street parking around. We got the acclaimed cornbread and were glad we did. The two sauces it comes with are top-notch. The Caesar salad is honestly worth trying--one of the best I've had. The last thing I had was the salmon avocado toast. This was the least impressive of the three; I didn't like how they did the avocado--it tasted like low-grade guacamole blended together.Overall, I definitely would come back to try more!

Incredible Service, But the Seafood Bucatini Was a No-GoI recently visited Red Rooster Miami and had an overall mixed experience. The highlight of my evening was definitely Bryan, the bartender, who was beyond fantastic. He made the night fun and engaging, even suggesting a game of rock-paper-scissors to help me decide between the seafood bucatini and the fried yard bird. I won the game and went with the seafood bucatini, feeling confident in the choice thanks to Bryan's great energy.I started off with a beer and the famous cornbread with honey butter, and let me tell you, they were delicious. The cornbread was moist and flavorful, and paired with the honey butter, it was basically a dessert on its own. The beer hit the spot, too--perfectly chilled and refreshing. Then came the seafood bucatini, and unfortunately, things went downhill. When I went for the big shrimp on top, I immediately noticed a strong taste of ammonia, which was an obvious red flag. I sent it back after just one bite--it was clear something was off with the seafood, and I wasn't about to take any chances.Despite the bad food, Bryan stayed professional and accommodating throughout. He handled everything with grace and made sure I was taken care of, which is the only reason I'm even giving this place three stars. The atmosphere was fun, the service was top-notch, but the food, at least for the seafood bucatini, was a major letdown. If you go, ask for Bryan--you'll be in great hands--but maybe steer clear of the seafood.
