Red River Cantina

Went with a group of 7 other ladies for lunch on a Saturday. We had a great time.Food and drinks were awesome.I had the fajitas and the cucumber jalapeno margarita.Fajitas were delicious and the margarita was just right. Not too spicy.The only thing... Wish they had a patio.

Always great food and drinks, weekly specials are a good deal but overall pricing is reasonable compared to other popular Tex Mex

If you need to feed a lot of people, there is no better option than Red River's fajita packs. It's as if you cooked a ton of delicious Mexican food for your friends and family, except you didn't have to do any of the work. And in 45 minutes or so, juicy, flavorful meat (chicken and steak - both outstanding), onions and peppers, guacamole, salsa, queso, chips, the best beans, rice, incredible fresh flour tortillas and whatever else you want to add on just shows up at your door, ready to go. The price is right, the food is delicious, and you can add on Mexican butter. I don't know what makes the Mexican butter Mexican, or what you're meant to use it for, but we got it, and no one was sad. Also, if you don't finish it you can use it to dip crawfish later on, and it's the best.

There's a reason why there wasn't a wait time on Mother's Day. The service could be a lot better but most definitely the food.

They serve green sauce - my favorite! The Mexican martini was perfect! The bar staff that came on duty around 430 was not that great - they were too involved with each other vs their customers.The restaurant was nice, food was tasty, the people around the bar were fun to visit with.

We arrived right when they opened on 10/3/2023 and had a really nice meal. I wish I would have got our waitresses name, she was so sweet and attentive. We ordered watermelon margaritas, one frozen and the other on the rocks...both were yummy! We also both got burrito monterey meals...mine had fajita beef and my husband had ground beef. Both were delicious! We also tried the queso blanco for the first time and oh lord was it delicious! I have been here many times and for some reason have never tried it. I had an extensive conversation with the Business Owner about my review. He suggested he was ' in top' of the situation...that's the background to this review. I needed Queso in a hurry (lots of it) for a Cinco De Mayo party (about 50 people) on a To Go basis...reluctantly called them because they were on my way to the party...the fellow who took my order and I had a very specific discussion about the quantity and that each ' Large To Go' serving was 16 ounces...well it was not...it was 12 ounces. I brought this to the Managers attention and without hesitation made up the difference without an issue. I'm planning on going back for a Meal inside the restaurant. The owner said he would fix the problem and I suspect this manager was part of his solution. Kudos!!!!

My husband and I come here 2-3 times per month. We love this place. Ask for their habanero salsa! Has excellent kick to it.House margs are great, but we like the grand gold margs. Sit in the bar for happy hour everyday on drinks and bar bites! Chicken Diablo, shrimp brochette, and flautas are the best imo. My husband loves to get the Carne Asada Jalisco. My fave is the Pollo Marisco. Definitely more pricey than other local places near us, but it's so good/worth the money.

Love the food at this place. The best Tex-Mex in area, in my opinion. Most of the time, customer service is great. Tonight we ran into an exception. We went there during happy hour, and the price on the happy hour menu for a grand gold margarita was $9. We ordered two, and the waitress asked if we wanted the regular size, or grande. We said grande. At that point, the waitress said nothing on the difference between ordering a grande ($15) vs regular (only regular size applied to happy hour prices). In the end, we wound up paying an extra $18 over the happy hour prices for 3 margaritas.Buyer beware, I guess. It was up to us to clarify that the happy hour prices didn't apply to the large drink. But it would have been nice/courteous if the menu or waitress would have clarified that when we placed our order.When we mentioned this to the waitress and manager, we got the "too bad, you should have known " treatment. The waitress was especially indignant.Great place for the most part, but the treatment we got tonight takes it down a few notches. Lots of great Tex-mex places in the area.
