BBQ is always great! Service is good. Ambiance is cowboy country and clean. Salad bar is really good with lots of great choices. In house service is better than to go. I do recommend but not for take out. It's just not the same as eating there.

Ate dinner with 4 work friends tonight at Red River BBQ. I hadn't been there in years so didn't know what to expect. I ordered Turkey and jalapeño cheddar sausage with Mac and okra. The Turkey was moist and tasty. The sausage was not very spicy but juicy and I could taste the cheddar. The macaroni was nothing special but I ate it. The okra was well cooked and I enjoyed it. The BBQ sauce was interesting... sweet and sorta clear red. More like something for pulled pork than for brisket or ribs. Not what I think of with Texas BBQ, for sure. But... I ate it. Oh, and the cornbread muffin was dry. My friends had brisket, pulled pork, brisket, a Turkey sandwich, brisket quesadillas, and fried shrimp between them. The brisket quesadillas and fried shrimp looked really yummy. The onion rings are handmade and looked great. On the whole the food is solid... just not award-winning good like Killen's or Delta Blues. It's worth mentioning that Red River Mexican Cantina is in the same parking lot. The food there is on point, for sure. Service is mostly self-serve, so...Inside the dining room is nice and clean and well decorated with impressive hunting trophy mounts. The is an outside dining option we didn't consider because it's summer in TX.Overall, a great local restaurant in a bedroom community.

I like it. I'd for sure go again. As soon as my friends and I got in the place we noticed the long line. Barbecue place and long line is more often than not a good sign about the food. With Texas bbq I'd usually say that there's a trickle down effect. If the brisket is good, most everything else will be at least decent as well. The brisket was ok. I'll give it another try. But the pork ribs, that's what most shined for me at this place . I had a two meat plate. Brisket and pork ribs. Sides I had were green beans. Their green beans are good. The other side I had was creamed corn. I feel in my opinion that their creamed corn needs work. A good observation a friend of mine made is that the creamed corn tastes as though the cream and the corn were prepared separately then put together after cooking. It did taste that way. The flavors of the cream and the corn were not blended together well I'd say. So the creamed corn maybe it was just not the best day for it or something. But everything else I tried I did enjoy very much. I forgot about the corn bread muffin. It was yummy! The bbq sauce they bring to your table in a bottle, very good on the meat. My friends and I had a great time here and we enjoyed the food. I'd definitely go again.

First time here and when I'm in town again...I'll come back. The best staff ever....Caleb and his crew were on top of things from the start.The chips and salsa are really good and the margaritas are too.The tacos AL carbon ...chicken...was really tasty. The chicken was super moist and plenty of toppings were provided.Friendly atmosphere but mostly..it was the staff who made it a great dining experience. Awesome job you guys.

This is probably one of the most reliable dining establishments I've ever had the pleasure to experience. Let's talk about the grill for a moment...whomever runs the ' Best Hamburger in Houston or Texas' award needs to try their hamburgers...grilled precisely as requested, moist, ample, dressed in about any manner conceivable they are truly a wonderful meal with either fries or onion rings both equally as good (although the onion rings could use a larger helping...or maybe it's because they are so good I just want more).Btw...Hamburgers are just one of their grill selections they also have chicken and of course chicken fried steak and then the crossover to Barbecue which is an incredible pulled pork sandwich (I think it's called the Memphis however I'm writing this review from memory...fantasy...hence don't remember the name however I clearly recollect the savory wonderfulness of this sandwich).Let me step away for a second and mention that every evening they run some kind of 'meal special' and as well have a very fresh and delicious salad bar which if you so chose could be an entree. It's a beer/ wine bar which is even more incredible given how busy it is at dinner time...I could go on about the barbecue and sides however quite honestly it's difficult for me to even get to these entrees as I normally focus on either the hamburgers or meal specials...I'll say this with great assurance...I've had a number of barbecue sandwiches and like the hamburgers and pork find them to be delectable. Don't miss this place.

BBQ to me is RED RIVER BBQ! I particularly like the Lean Chopped Beef on a Jalapeño Bun!! Beyond good, it is indescribable good! Everything is delicious at Red River. Try it you will like it! Salad Bar, superior, service is good. Ambiance is all around nice.

We hired Red River BBQ for both lunch and dinner for a business event last week and they were amazing. Easy to work with, they set everything up for us, and the food was delicious.I hadn't been clear about my first order and they came back with the items I'd missed within half an hour. They even delivered during last week's storm with a smile. They were absolutely wonderful. I'm so glad we hired them.

Ordered the $18 Outlaw burger. Once the burger was served, the warmest thing on the plate was the bun.... So disappointing... Burger meat was seasoned ok, cheese was American Velveeta slices... The home style burger at McDonalds is as good and will served warmer for more than half the price....
