Red Rice Restaurant & Catering

Food was a little salty for me but taste great otherwise. Portion size is nice and I would recommend the turkey wings, collards, red rice and corn bread. Especially the corn bread. There are only two tables inside so you'll probably want to do take out. The parking lot is pretty small. I'll definitely be back for another try. They ran out of jerk chicken when I was there.

Came in on a Sunday night with my 15yo son. The owner and her daughter were soooo nice to both of us. They let us sample the red rice and peas & rice and gave us the backstory of the restaurant. Before we ordered, the owner Denise explained that most of her entrees are made to order so it would be a 15 min wait. Everything is to-go so got home and plated our meals because upon a quick taste, it was too delicious to eat out of a plastic container!!I had shrimp (grilled perfectly and were HUGE) red rice, collard greens and easily the best mac and cheese I've in Atlanta. My son had oxtails and peas & rice, which were also the very best I've had period! Can't wait to go back!

This is my third time eating food from this restaurant. Delicious is the word. First time I got a to go order. 2nd time I was at Atlantuckey brewery and they catered the event. This time I brought my sister to the spot. Best soul food turkey wing smothered with gravy! Mac and cheese and candied yams are bussing! Also the Moreland Ave lemonade is fire The turkey wing sits on a bed of red rice which is delicious. Just might need not to add as much salt to the red rice. My sister is in town visiting she is the leftover queen she actually ate her whole plate at one sitting saying that she wishes she got a plate for later lol

This food is sooooo good! I was craving collard greens and Lima beans and didn't feel like making them. I searched soul food places and had to find the TikTok reviews. This place deserves their stars! I had the jerk chicken plate which had just the right about of spice and was so juicy! The Mac and cheese could have used a little more pepper but was the right consistency, right amount of cheese and still had enough flavor. The collards were what I needed!My fiancé's plate had the turkey wing, green beans and Mac. Both of us had the red rice. The turkey wing is huge and the gravy is flavorful. We also ordered a third plate, a veggie plate with yams, Lima beans and black eyed peas. so good. This is a hole in the wall and next to a gas station but the food is good and hot, the establishment is clean and the prices are reasonable for the quantity. I spent $50 for 3 full plates and it was so worth it.I will be back.

I purchased lunch to go at Red Rice for my boyfriend and I today. I had the grilled salmon with candied yams and the garlic string beans. My entire dish was so flavorful without tasting too salty. The garlic string beans pleasantly surprised me with how much I liked them and the glaze used on the grilled salmon was just right (be prepared for a little wait time while they grill your salmon but it's worth it)! My boyfriend had the smoked turkey wing, mac n cheese, and collard greens. He also enjoyed everything that came with his meal. And we finished it off with the beloved Jus Pudding banana pudding. Which is actually what brought me over to Red Rice in the first place but the food pics looked so good on Yelp that I had to get a meal and try for myself. I will be a returning customer.

Walking into Red Rice was like walking into my grandmother's home. Walking in, I was met with the tantalizing smell of macaroni and cheese and sweet potatoes and the sound of gospel music. It felt like home. And the food....my goodness! EVERYTHING was delicious! Not one item lacked anything. I scraped my plate for EVERYTHING bit of my red rice. And the turkey wings were so flavorful! Turkey can be a bland meat and not many people execute seasoning it well. However, the folks at Red Rice seasoned and smothered to perfection!10/10 experience and food!!

The owner is very attentive, down to earth, she gives you a warm welcome .I love how the owner explains the history of the restaurant and what inspired the name.This is a black owned business.I ordered the Turkey wing that comes with red rice (their specialty) yams and Mac N cheese.One thing I can say , everything is made fresh ! NO CAN GOODS OVER HERE BABY! I ordered the banana pudding for dessert and a peach tea.The turkey wing and gravy was bussing it was great.I am so not a fan of the RED RICE! Rice with a tomato base type is not for me. It was disgusting The Mac n cheese was surprisingly delicious.The yams was great The banana pudding was alright. I love home made , whip it up from eggs and milk type of banana pudding.The banana pudding this restaurant offers is the box kind .. I LOVE ME A DIABETIC SWEET TEA LOL!It was sweet and delicious The inside is beautiful , she have pictures of her grandmother and history on the wall!I highly recommend and would visit again

This is a awesome little gem in East Atlanta. Please don't let the location of being in a gas station plaza deter you. The customer service is amazing! Ahhh! Now let's get into this food, the Turkey wings, salmon, red rice, mac & cheese, collard green, yams, cornbread and the cake is sooo delicious. The ambiance is so inviting, they have table and chairs for you eat in or wait for your food. You won't be disappointed, don't forget the desert.

Gas station whole In the wall. Great A one customer service. Be patient because it's takes about 15-20 mins to get your plate unless you order ahead! Plate price is mid on the high side due to you get one turkey wing and 2 sides for 17! No cornbread to eat with the soul food! It's take out only! Each side is 6 dollars . You can't substitute the red rice or ask for no rice it comes with the plate! 2 oz banana pudding is $10!Over all taste I would give 2/10. The turkey wing was just fat, and very salty gravy! The rice is hard (undercooked) and salty. It kind of reminds me of me of uncle ben Red rice in the bag. The black eyed peas were a major disappointment they are so hard I can't eat them! The yams are sweet but good! The greens were good as well! I would not recommend this place! I'll just go to riverdale and get some Annie Marie! The place was nice and cute and clean inside. Only 2 workers I seen in there. 2 stars because customer service.
