It's a swanky cocktail bar. I got there too early because it was only me and one other customer, but it looks like it gets pretty lively. It gives me Anvail vibes, if you've been there. Only downside was a small wine selection. They only had one of each and I was looking for a wine bar. However, their spirits selection was huge. I'm sure they make some quality craft cocktails. Also no food, so don't go hungry. Will have to try this place again!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping by the Ready Room to meet up with friends, enjoy a fun and unique drink, listen to live music and soak up the ambience. Six of us arrived for happy hour, and service was outstanding! The owners, waitstaff VERY accommodating. They open at 5pm. I do not think reservations are available. They do have an outside covered seating area. Parking was ample for a Thursday night. They do not serve food. Overall - definitely a repeat!

Service and ambiance are great here. Low key, low light, and live jazz. It is advised to get here on the early side as it fills up quickly and there will be no seats left!

The Ready Room was on the list of "18 of Houston's Finest Happy Hours" from Eater Houston so my friend and I decided to meet for drinks.I was a bit surprised to see how empty it looked when I pulled into the parking lot around 6PM on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. Luckily, that was only the patio and the inside had a pretty decent crowd. I was disappointed to realized that the parking lot was valet only but was able able to snag a spot on the street out front. Once inside, it gave off a speakeasy vibe and was a casual but upscale bar. The bartenders were making round after round of specialty cocktails and seemed to know what they were doing. As happy hour went until 7, we ordered off the happy hour menu. We ordered the following: - House Ricky: This is your most basic cocktail with your spirit and citrus of choice. My friend went with vodka & lime juice over ice. Although it was nothing crazy, it had plenty of lime juice and was a good drink. - Espresso Martini: Served in a small glass tea cup with a lighted stick of cinnamon on the side. I never would've guessed this was an espresso martini based on the looks (looked like a hot tea) or taste (just from prior espresso martini tastings) but it was good! The bartender, Ethan, made making the drinks look like fun and he was enjoyable to chat with. Overall, this is a fun spot to visit for happy hour and to try a new drink BUT is a bit overpriced if ordering off the regular menu. I'd come back as it was a good place to start the evening.

Whenever I find places like this I'm always initially a little hesitant to write a rave review bc I'm selfish and don't want to share with others. But in all seriousness this place is a hidden gem. Tucked away near corner of Studemont and white oak, this bar does not have much signage and is unassuming and easy to overlook from the outside, but the inside is cozy and warm with a vibrant atmosphere. The bartenders are all very friendly and well practiced at their craft. We went in November and there were a ton of mustaches which gave it a very speakeasy vibe . The live music is definitely worth the crowds so you'll want to get there a little early if you want a good seat. The menu has a good mix of different types of cocktails so there is something for everyone. We will definitely be back.

We love this spot. Good for a date night, or after dinner drinks. We have also brought people here, good spot for that. You'd think "Live music, tiny room - no way you can still chit chat" and yet! Idk how, but it works.

Our waiter was dumb to be honest... She kept messing up our drink orders. it was pretty simple just asked for an old fashion that was "up" but she didn't know what it was because she kept bringing us a regular old fashion .if you work at a whiskey bar you should know what an "up" old fashion is. i will say it's a cool bar , liked the piano player and the happy hour prices. I did wish they had lite snacks because i needed one after a few old fashions. They also need a larger amount of whiskey brands.

Easily one of the best cocktail bars I've been to in a very long time. I came here over the weekend with a good friend of mine to catch up and get some drinks. We arrived around 8:30pm on a Saturday night. We were promptly greeted by a server who took our order and got our drinks within minutes. These cocktails are fantastic, by the way. Flavor profiles all across the board and every one of them has been on point so far. The place started filling up around 9-9:30, because that's when the live music started. Their live music is always a great touch. It was a tad on the loud side, which made conversation a little challenging, but it wasn't too bad otherwise. They also have outdoor seating if you want to bring (and/or order) a cigar and smoke it - love that. It's a fairly small bar with some pretty intimate seating, which also makes it great for date night. I will definitely be back in the near future.

Great place for after dinner drinks! It's fairly small which gives it a cozy vibe. They have a long list of craft cocktails and I haven't had a drink here I didn't enjoy. There is live jazz music on Friday and Saturday nights around 9pm or so and I recommend coming earlier to grab a seat as tables get filled quickly once the band comes on. It's a great place for date night or with a small group of friends. I love the ambiance and live music, it feels like you're on Frenchmen Street in NOLA. I definitely recommend if you enjoy cocktails and jazz music!
