Oh Rattan ... what have they done to you? Returned for the re-opening with high hopes it would be even more wonderful than it was before or at least as memorable as it was previously, but we were so let down!! We've been coming here for years and it seems it's the end of an era after tonight's dinner. All the amazing previous staff were gone and the new team was underwhelming on attentiveness and friendliness. Something was just robotic about them ... no warmth or smiles. Onto the menu. I saw lots of my favorites still there, but some staples were missing like seaweed salad and the tuna tower. Some of my favorite cocktails were gone too. But I was happy to see some things I remembered and loved so we ordered them. They arrived and had no visual or tastebud recognition of their former self. Our seared escolar was inedible and the Hama Chili was bland and with not a hint of the chili oil that gave it that amazing flavor and heat. In fact all the sushi was subpar and I've had better at the supermarkets sushi kiosks. And to increase the prices ... nope you lost me there. Im heartbroken it's changed so much where it counts. We will be finding a new go to for future sushi outings. Fare the well old Rattan. You will be greatly missed.

Always love this place. The service and ambiance is perfect. They are always so nice to me and my son. I come here a lot to work from the bar and alway get great respect and space. The sushi and food is amazing! Highly recommend!!!

This is a cute place from the outside as well as the inside. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and patient with my indecisiveness. I opted for the two roll lunch special which came with a choice of miso soup or salad and a choice of two different desserts. I wasn't particularly excited about the miso soup, perhaps I should have had the salad. My friend ordered some dumplings which were pretty good. In fact I ended up using the dumpling sauce instead of soy sauce for my sushi. The sushi was good. The dessert was great. It's hard to get lunch for $16, especially when that includes a little dessert. I would probably go for the salad next time. It was very quiet at lunch time. Perhaps that's why they're not open for lunch everyday so be sure to check the schedule!

We ordered the lobster fantasy roll and the hamachili roll and they were both pretty good! Our waitress was really nice. However, I did ask for no avocado in my lobster fantasy roll due to an allergy, and it ended up coming out with avocado in it. They apologized and brought another one without the avocado right away! We'll definitely come again!

We've enjoyed Rattan since they opened. The new owner, with a way reduced selection, low quality food and staff that couldn't care less. They couldn't even make a gin martini, gave some weird thing that was sweet and cloudy. Very strange. I may try them one more time to see if they improve....I sure hope they do!

Rattan is a favorite spot of mine! The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the drinks are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it for a date night or simply to savor great food and drinks!

Visited for dinner, I love the good number of clearly marked vegetarian options! And both dishes were good! Defined would recommend the veggie tango roll! The tofu dish was a little fishy , I know it's a vegetarian fish sauce but personally don't like fish flavor. My husband loved the tofu dish though. Service was a little off, sever forgot our rice, took a while to track him down to get the rice so ended up eating tofu and veggies mostly with out the rice, but still an interesting place with unique dishes!

Love coming for lunch and now dinner. Cat themed cotton candy, yum!They have the best happy hour menu, amazing chef and customer service!

We left. Stood at the host stand and watched several staff members notice us waiting to be sat, the sushi chef finally came out from behind the counter and sat us at a table. A waiter never came by to greet us or take a drink order. We gave it 15 minutes before throwing in the towel. What's sad is there was a total of 5 other parties so being busy isn't an excuse.
