Ramen Star

Great spot tucked away in the highlands. Outside is unassuming, staff was very friendly. We got:Shishito peppersSpicy salmon Temaki (hand roll)Salmon TemakiSpicy miso ramenTruffle ramenCouldn't finish, we were stuffed. Enjoyed everything, the Temaki were huge like a big sushi taco wrapped in seaweed. The shishito peppers had a sweetish ?aoli type sauce on it which I wasn't the biggest fan of. RamenWe both agreed the spicy miso was the winner. The waiter said the ramen star is really popular too. The truffle one was good but rich (as expected), and a tad bit sweet as well. I think the real draw is the noodles - very chewy and fresh! Next time we want to try the rice dishes- donburi and "risotto"

I came here because of the Offline App, and it was one of my favorite places I've tried so far! I went for lunch and didn't order a drink, but got the pork Bao as an appetizer. DELICIOUS! Our server guided us to thy decision and he was awesome.It was in the middle of a heatwave and hot ramen did not seem like the move, so I ordered the spicy tuna mazeman. It was the perfect amount of spicy and had a unique delicious flavor unlike anything I've ever tried: highly recommend. My husband didn't let the heatwave deter him from ordering the ramen, so I could try a bite of his. The broth was so flavorful, that I definitely intend to come back for the ramen once the weather cools down! They also have chocolate ramen that sounds intriguing for dessert

We came in a little bit after dinner service just started. The restaurant smelled like pure rancid fecal matter. But knowing this was a smaller operation with handmade noodles I plugged my nostrils and sat down. There were two other tables sitting, who had still yet to place an order. Service was unattentive to say the least. The food that came out was passable at best but the real let down was the ramen. The broth is a thick inarticulate mess made up of a hybrid of chicken shoyu and tonkotsu broth. My fiancée even turned to me after trying a bit of my broth and looked at me puzzled and said amusingly "so what made you pick this place" The place came recommended by the same people that recommended UNCLE which another absolutely disaster of a ramen shop. Denver needs to do better. If you're truly looking for good ramen, Osaka Ramen is the only one that holds up to East and west coast Ramen bars

My friend researched and found Ramen Star before our trip out to Denver. We are both "noodle heads" so Ramen Star hits the spot. Their menu consists of starts, buns, ravioli, yakitori, ramen, mazemen noodles and tsukemen noodles. They are known for their "Chocolate Ramen" here consisting of a chocolate flavor base, chocolate ravioli, strawberry and chocolate whipped cream. We were not feeling too adventurous so we stuck to the basics of the Miso Ramen, Chicken Ramen and Spicy Chicken Ramen! But, it did not disappoint! The broth, noodles, toppings and flavors were all on point. Cute, Japanese themed interior, friendly service, I would come back again if I lived closer!

Absolutely delicious ramen spot with a plentiful drinks list and robust appetizers. I don't eat pork which usually severely limits what ramen I can eat. Ramen Star gets an extra star for having four different vege ramens. I tried the tomato ramen; a mild flavor that felt far away from traditional ramen, but was very cool. The house salad is surprisingly tasty. The vegetarian tomato ramen is a tomato-based broth, topped with a fried tomato, a potato pierogi, greens, sprouts and parmesan.The only dish I tried that didn't "wow" me was the chili relleno ravioli. They were fried and certainly weren't bad, but it wasn't something I found myself craving hours after. If you're looking for a spot with a unique twist on ramen along with some mainstays, soup's on!

10/10 best food and drink!! Brian warmly greeted us ... recommended a delicious dry sake for us. I ordered the seaweed salad.... And the "star ramen" both sooooooo good!!! No MSG used here and legit Japanese restaurant! Must visit!

I mean, we couldn't stay away. We tried the chocolate ramen today. It is an intereting dish to say the least. It was very delicious but lacked an ingredient that would have elevated the whole dish. We came to find out after that the dish typically came with sliced strawberries (I know it sounds different, but it was a worthy adventurous try). We tried the bun appetizers and Lupe, great customer service as always, was kind enough to get us one of each of the pork and the beef. Absolutely delicious. But the showstopper came by dessert. We ordered the Japanese cream puff and the chestnut cake. Perfectly light choux pastry with a not so sweet custard filling for the cream puff. The chestnut cake was something I have never tried before. A pound cake on the bottom with a cream top and a chestnut right in the middle of the cake. The flavor is subtle, yet deliberate. I wish Star Ramen served UCC coffee. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you, the interior sets up an intimate dining experience with your chosen company AND your food.

Got the Ramen Star. It had a good flavor but the pork was literally ALL fat and the salvageable parts were bad. Barely any broth too, I was basically just eating noodles. No thanks :/

Amazing food, I had the spicy miso and everything from the broth to the protein to the noodles was incredible. I'm also gluten free and their gluten free noodles were so good! Highly recommend.
