Super fun local bar. Come, have a beer, wine and hangout. Great for the afternoon remote workers to grab a beer while you finish out your work day.

Never knew this spot existed, but recently tried it out with friends. What a super cool spot! It's located right in a parking garage over in West Village - a real neighborhood bar feel. There is street parking around, but they also provide a code to access the parking garage if you're going there for drinks. Small interior, with a few bar seats, then some tables at the back. The clutch seats seem to be by the windows in the back, where you get amazing people-watching for this area of Durham. Super chill atmosphere. Not a lot of cider on tap, but they had some on tap and some in bottles/cans. Nice beer selection, and some good looking wine as well. It's also a bottle shop, where you can pick up some nice ciders, wines, and beers to take home with you. Super nice staff, great atmosphere, and I'll definitely be back. Great spot!

Durham's newest bottle shop, Ramblers, competes with long standing Sam's Quick Shop as well as a newer establishment Beer Durham, but Ramblers has a long way to go to become more than a neighborhood go to shop. Located on the corner of the the parking garage of Village West, Ramblers is a small, but open space, with lots of natural lighting. A couple bar seats surround a small bar with six tap handles. Along the walls of the bottle shop you'll find eight metal shelving units filled with a good selection of bottles. The shop also includes a small cooler with bottles and cases to go (everything from Coors Light to local bevies and a few in between. The bottle shop lacks prices on all bottles currently and beers are served in insurance labeled wine glasses. You might have the lights turned off on you during the afternoon, not a problem with all the natural lighting, but I definitely got the feel that they are looking to save money whenever possible. Overall, Ramblers feels like a neighborhood bottle shop, geared at residents living directly downtown, but not fancy enough or with a competitive enough selection to draw in tourists or regulars of other competing shops in the area.

Ramblers is right across the street from my apartment - I love the location. The owners always have a a varied selection on tap. They have only six taps but it's clear a lot of effort goes into selecting what beers to have on in order to keep it balanced. The beers are always great quality beers (example - today they have Burial and Mikkeller on two of the taps) and there's always something I want to drink. They also have cans and bottles of beer and wine bottles. The wine is very good - the owners clearly know a lot about both beer and wine. The space is clean and large enough that you never feel overcrowded. The layout works very well. It's also attractive inside with a nice wooden bar, brick walls, many huge windows, and beautiful plants. There are often food trucks around but if there aren't, Ramblers is located in a great location to order delivery or bring takeout from one of the many delicious restaurants in downtown Durham. The staff are always very pleasant - they'll talk to you if you want or they leave you alone when you're busy. I definitely recommend this bottle shop to anyone in Durham.

And now, a great place is even better!Ramblers has added wine by the glass. They are also seeing bottled wine, sake, hard cider.I've been loving the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of this place since it opened. They really know about beer, and since they use really small kegs (sixtills?) for the taps, there is always something new to drink. Also many bottled beer that Are not offered in the grocery stores. And now the option of dropping in for a glass of wine really me love Ramblers even more.Being located in The Warehouse District of Durham, among apartments and offices may make it a bit tough for people driving in. But for anyone who finds themselves in that district, or Brightleaf Square, check it out.And for those who live in the area - wow! We have a real neighborhood hangout and a great place to get hydrated.

Great place to hang out! Every time I've walked into Ramblers the owner, Justin, has been working. He's great at what he does and is extremely knowledgable about beers. You can tell he's excited about his new business and it's great to see another locally owned, independent business start up.I like this place because it's low key, laid back, and they carry some great beers. Not to mention its pet friendly! There are 6 rotating beers on draft, a cooler, and racks of different beers to choose from. If you walk in, check out the upcoming events on the chalkboard. Usually they have several breweries lined up to do tastings. There's also food trucks there most days. Been there 5 or 6 times since they've opened and each time has been great. I highly recommend making a visit.

Ramblers is a very chill wine and beer bar. They have a lot of options for wine and beer and the prices are really good. I really like the ambiance. You can either go with your date to get a couple of drinks or go with your friend group and sit at the couches. They also have some box games that you can play with your friends. I highly recommend Ramblers!

Ramblers is a nice little spot to grab a pint or a 6-pack when you are in the area. It's not a large place, so there is a limited beer selection but it is quite well curated. It is a cozy spot, feels like a nice neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name. There is nothing special about Ramblers that will make you go out of your way to come here, but if you are in the area it is worth a stop in.They don't allow you to drink bottles that you purchase there inside the shop, which is unlike other bottle shops such as Sam's Quik Shop and Bottle 501. Not a big fan of that. But there is a small handful of taps you can enjoy there.

I had no idea that Ramblers was located here and since 2015. My husband and I stopped in to grab a beer and had a fun time. There are 10 beers on tap, they also have a small selection of cider, wine and sake. If something in the cooler interests you, you will have to take it to go since it's not for on-site consumption. The space is really small and so is the selection to take home but I found a 4-pack that would do.
