Yummy Japan

9/12/24 I placed an order for Hibachi Shrimp and Steak. I asked for mushrooms and was told they didnt have any. So I said ok. My husband then ordered Hibachi Chicken and Scallops. We got home to only discover that his food had mushrooms. So I called back and asked why I was told they didn't have mushrooms because clearly, they did. The person taking the call apologies and tells me the next time I come in he will give me a free side order of mushrooms. Like really! Who just eats mushrooms by itself!

Delicious tasting sushi and hibachi! Service was very helpful and fast. It is an indoor but offers take out. We were weary from the other reviews but definitely will be back!

I have lived in Ny 28 years of my life and came to NC looking for a tasty Japan spot. This is it!!!! you can pick anything off the menu and it will be good. My regular order is the hibachi chicken meal with extra yum yum sauce. I gotta pause and talk about this sauce cuz there is no other place that has a sauce that comes close to how good this sauce taste. I even tried to buy it at a Asian market and it did t taste the same. I've been to this spot over 30 times and my food is over the top good every time. They give you large portions to for a good price. I would drive over a hour just to get the food and yum yum sauce. I will try to remember to add a updated pic the next time I go! Enjoy! now I'm hungry again lol.

Yummy is the word! Love the Yummy Chicken. The rice is so good too, and I love the ginger sauce and yummy sauce.

If you hate Yummi Japan you're either tasteless or an entitled stain on society, this place's food will slap your tits off. That white sauce is godtier. Keep it up fellas.

Definitely not the best experience I've had eating Japanese. Honestly, this is the worst I've tasted. The steak was well done, I wasn't asked how I wanted it. The flavor was decent but definitely tough. The was meh at best and the white sauce was nearly inedible. The vegetables were way over cooked. The cashier, appearing to be a 30 something Hispanic male has no manners or customer service at all.....definitely would not recommend!!!

Placed order for pick up when I got there I asked to add two salads and was told to give them a few for the salad, that was fine. I get home and the salads are old and full of water. The get is that I waited 5 mins just for those salads thinking they were being made but I guess I was just waiting for someone to grab it from the back.

Really good food huge portions for the price! My go to for Hibachi in Smithfield 10/10 recommend

Me and my wife came to eat here for lunch and were appalled by the fast service. Food was delightful and high quality! The whole experience was a 10/10, we're definitely coming back!

Great Japanese food. Me and my hubby come here everytime we come to Smithfield. We can't leave without stopping by Yummi Japan. I'm a big fan of their bulgogi, not all places can cook that right but there's is awesome. Their Yum Yum sauce is great too, you can order it on the side but I usually put it on the rice. My 10-yr old stepson loved it too and loves to go. Great spot to go to when you're looking for some awesome Japanese food.
