"They are only doing To Go orders, which was fine with us, as I wanted to bring home dinner. Ordered before I left work, and everything was ready and waiting for me when I arrived ten minutes later. We could not have been happier with the quality, quantity and taste of everything we ordered. From the crab rangoon, to the Thai Basil Chicken dinner combo that came with fried rice and an egg roll, to the Malay Sambal Chicken and the Black Pepper Shrimp, everything was terrific! And the two of us got three meals out of it all."
"Exceptional experience. Truly exceptional The duck soup and tofu lo neon were our entrees of choice and there was a uniqueness and freshness that made them both delicious and memorable The supportive tram environment from. Seating to payment was so efficient and friendly. The manager was kind and visited each and every table. Loved that. As we were leaving, one of the sweetest young waitresses said I had a smile that lit up a room. That keept me smiling all the way home. Thank you all foe such a great dining experience."

Swung by for lunch one day and dinner another and both times everything was delicious! The bento boxes are the perfect size and have a nice variety of things to try. The sushi rolls are made perfectly and are packed with flavor. The crunchy roll is definitely a favorite of mine now. The atmosphere was welcoming and a lot to look at around the restaurant. The booths a spacious and comfortable.Overall, wonderful experience and I'll definitely be returning."
"This place actually shocked me. The decor is a bit order but the service was fast, quick and the food was great. The sushi was fresh, hibachi was fresh this lowkey really is a hidden gem. I'm definitely going back today!"
"I do not have enough words on how incredible Thai 55 is! Recommended by an incredible friend, we came here together and you can tell how great the people are the moment you walked in. The absolute kindest and most intentional people work here, they really make the entire experience elevate to another level. HUGE shoutout to Tommy- he is so warm and welcoming, also very fun and funny! He greets everyone with a smile and warmth, truly incredible. The inside is also very cute, spacious, and very clean. The menu is filled with incredible dishes, I found it hard to narrow what I wanted down cause everything looks so good. I found myself thinking of wanting to come here every week so I could have a little bit of everything. I'm also a huge fan of eggplant, Tommy recommended I get the lunch special (which usually range between $10-$13 per plate, huge portions and comes with rice- incredible deal). Worry not about the spice levels- you can choose! You MUST get their Thai tea! I'm a fan of it coming in a mason jar with a handle, looks very pretty (aesthetic, you can mix the cream into the tea- sadly my photo is too blurry to do it Justice). Super delicious! For dessert- you have to get the mango sticky rice. A top tier dessert, not too sweet, tastes really creamy and refreshing. Always a beautiful balance of flavors. Be sure to come here to check them out! 10/10 would recommend :)"
"This is a favorite lunch place for meeting up with friends and relatives as the atmosphere is quiet so you can actually carry on a conversation and hear it. It's in the Trader Joe's shopping center on Wake Forest Road near the beltline. Plenty of parking, even though it's a busy strip mall. They do take reservations, but usually there's no problem getting in (at least for lunch, can't attest for dinner).Love the Thai lunch specials. Not huge quantities, but very tasty and nicely prepared. Kee Mao and Basil Chicken are favorites. Do know if you order shrimp on a lunch meal, it will be just three. Great prices for the quality. They also have Japanese items on the menu including some BOGO rolls. I personally stick with Thai here, but have been with others who were happy with their Japanese selections.TIP: Look on line for their daily specials for both lunch and dinner. They also usually participate in Restaurant Week when it comes up."
"Came for the buy one get one free lunch sushi deal. Sushi was excellent, very fresh tasting. Facilities were clean. The lunch time speed of service was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Lunch was $23 with gratuity. Overall good experience."
"First time here and it was a stellar experience. Do know that this is not just a Thai restaurant. They have a ton of sushi as well. That being said, we both tried their Thai dishes. Pad Thai for Husband and Drunken Noodles for me.I don't usually do alcohol with Thai restaurants because the offerings don't necessarily go with the dishes imho, but let me tell you...the Lemon Lotus drink here (basically a lemon drop), is fantastic and goes very well with Drunken Noodles that are just slightly spicy.Service was terrific. Food terrific. Husband loved his pad thai and very much loved his coconut cake as well. Looks like they do mostly a take-out business but do know there is plenty of inside seating. It's way bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Note: location is right next to Shucker's in Wake Forest."
"I ordered the drunken noodles and my date ordered a sushi roll, both were absolutely delicious! I feel like this is a bit of a hidden gem in Wilson, especially since there are so few restaurants to choose from here."
"Another day, another ramen craving. I had never been to Tasu Noodle Bar, but it was recommended to me by a friend. I got Tonkotsu ramen (my favorite) because I am on the hunt for the best. I really did enjoy it. I really, really loved the Napa cabbage in it. The other places I've tried usually don't have Napa cabbage in the ramen, but now I prefer it, so I will be coming back here for the ramen. I also got the crab rangoons, those were decent."
"Even though this place has been open for a while, we finally stopped in on a weekday night after deciding to go out for Thai. For some reason, I thought they were a more upscale Thai restaurant since they had a bar. Maybe that was pre-COVID or they changed their model, but it's pretty much a regular Thai restaurant now with casually dressed servers. We enjoyed spring rolls and my wife enjoyed her papaya salad. I was in the mood for soup and ordered the beef noodle soup, which if I'm honest, was more like a watered down pho. I was hoping for something with more a Thai flavor profile. It wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. Next time I'll order something else."
"First time here, we met friends here who recommended this place. The inside is very clean and modern and has nice window and table seating. More of a modern vibe which is great. Started off our dinner with a Thai Tea, that was delicious. We had the Dumplings (steamed) for an appetizer, they were a good size and pretty filling. Lots of flavor for little guys. For $6 you get 4. We ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken. Hands down this has been the best one we've had. There is a sweetness that is sooo good about this dish. Portion size could be just a little bit bigger for the price. We will definitely come back to this place. So glad we came!"

We love it here. We moved away from the area and drive about 40 minutes to take a trip there. They can do so much gluten free.It is no nonsense and good clean food. It's always excellent. Today my basil tofu was a little salty. It's still excellent but it was not as excellent as usual. Still worth the trip as everything else is perfect. I would up taking a chicken chow fun home (gluten free) of course!

Food was ok but it is not only overpriced but the check is always inflated as you can see on the picture of my receipt Ordered 2 bottles of wine and was charged 8 dollars corkage fee for each and then the price per bottle at 28 dollars each so the actual price per bottle is actually 36 I may as well take my own if a place is going to charge me corkage for their own wine!Ordered one appetizer which seemed reasonably priced at 14.95 but was charged 11.90 in addition to the 14.95 for two wontons that came on the trayPrices of all entres get jacked up depending on which protein you order, normally in any other restaurant prices only vary when you order shrimp. So all in all prices are higher in disguise. If food is decent you shouldn't need to hide charges, just show the real price and I will make up my mind. Have never seen your deceiving system anywhere else. Appetizer was good value for the amount of food for 14.95 but with the separate charge for two wontons became overpriced. Will most likely never go back

Got a basic lunch special of the tangerine chicken and it was fine but heavily breaded. I think I would go for something thats not fried was I to return. Definitely want to try out the sushi next time I go. Service was fast and friendly and they have a hilarious robot that takes you to your table.

This place was SO cute. The sushi chef was friendly and gave small talk while making our orders, and when it all came out, it was such a nice work of art on a plate. Almost too beautiful to eat... almost... The eel was probably the freshest I've ever had, surprisingly enough, and this has become a go-to place when craving Japanese cuisine on the southern side of the country. Please, let this restaurant never change.

We had a delicious dinner at Thai 55. The owner welcomed us into his restaurant and seemed to remember us from last year. We ordered a new dish of barbecue pork with tamarind dipping sauce and sticky rice. So yummy! Then we ordered the duck in a red curry sauce which was also delicious but spicy. The last dish was pad Thai with shrimp. It was so good, really!!! We were much too full for dessert. And the corner came over with the bill and we talked for a while. He made us feel like family. What a wonderful evening. Thank you!

Was told by a couple of coworkers that I must try Shabu Shabu as their sushi is amazing and I have to agree! I arrived at lunchtime, so it was pretty busy. The manager warmly greeted me and took me to my table. My waiter was a little cold and it felt like he was rushed. He sat down my menu and asked me right away what I wanted. I told him that I needed a couple of minutes and he did not come back or even around me for like 10 minutes. Before my stomach could eat itself he reappeared and took my order. I got their BOGO sushi deal, and decided to get the Wolfpack roll and Samurai roll. The Wolfpack roll has crab, avocado, scallions, and tempura flakes. The Samurai roll had cream cheese, salmon, and scallions. Wow! They give you a generous portion of fresh sushi along with ginger and Wasabi. Everything is fresh and so worth the wait! It still stays good as I could not finish the rolls and took them with me.I cannot wait to come back as a couple of dudes next to me had their Thai basil which came with tons of veggies! They highly recommend it as they get it every time. So I will be back!

Some of the best sushi I've had in Raleigh. I've been to a lot of sushi places, almost all of them. This one always comes out on top. Service is always super nice, it is super clean, and the menu is amazing. They have options for everyone and the size of them is great. It's also BOGO which is a huge plus. This is by far your best option if you want some classic rolls.

A friend picked up takeout from here so I can't speak to the ambiance of the restaurant itself but the food was spectacular. All of our takeout was well labeled so we knew whose was whose. I ordered the red chicken curry. I think it was labeled as mild spice and it definitely was. Good portion size, lots of creamy sauce to soak into all the perfectly cooked rice. Friend ordered the green curry chicken and liked it as well. We also had the basil rolls which were good. Prices were reasonable. I look forward to visiting in person next time.

Ordered one of my favs, they called Thai Villa noodles but it is the "drunken noodles" and the flavors take me back to Phiphi Island and a neighborhood restaurant in Bangkok Service is always good even for a hole on the wall"
"I enjoyed our dinner at Bida Manda in downtown Raleigh. This restaurant is fairly unique, especially in North Carolina, because it specializes in Lao food. Lao cuisine is similar to Thai cuisine, but it's not exactly the same. Generally, I thought the food and drink here were good and service was great. I recommend this place.Bida Manda opened on September 5, 2012. It's next door to Brewery Bhavana, across from Moore Square. Both businesses, which are popular and have become Raleigh staples, have the same owners: brother and sister, Vansana ("Van") and Vanvisa Nolintha. Brewery Bhavana opened on March 29, 2017.A fellow Yelper recommended Bida Manda to me years ago, but also made me aware of the employee allegations that came out against Van: https://carolinas.eater.com/21611662/bida-manda-bhavana-brewery-misconduct-sexual-assault-allegations-van-nolintha-raleigh During our visit, Bida Manda appeared alive and well.My coworkers and I had a Monday night reservation at 7:30pm. Around that time, the place was completely packed - bar and dining room. It was really loud. It looked like there were other work groups there too.Due to the popularity of this place, even on a Monday night, I recommend making a reservation. Bida Manda is on OpenTable and awards dining points (not all OpenTable restaurants do), so that's a plus. You can park on the street or in the nearby Moore Square Station parking deck. During my visit, street parking was metered Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm. I couldn't find street parking, so I parked in the deck. The deck is located behind the restaurant, in the same block. Its address is 233 S Wilmington St. It was free to park in the deck outside of Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm. Note: If you park in the deck, you have to walk by the bus station, which can have some sketchy characters.Bida Manda means "father mother" in Lao. The restaurant was named in honor of the Nolinthas' parents. Large black and white photos of the parents are suspended above the hostess stand and are among the first things you'll see upon entry. The interior has exposed ceilings, pendant lighting, concrete floors, and Tolix chairs.Below is a list of what four of us ordered and shared, plus my single cocktail (the others got drinks too, but I didn't document them). This list should give you a decent idea of what Bida Manda offers and how much it costs.Cocktail* Berry Old Fashioned ($15.00) - bourbon, blueberry, cinnamon syrup, bittersAppetizers* Crispy Rice Lettuce Wraps ($16.90) - "served as afternoon snack in Laos, this is our most beloved appetizer at Bida Manda," hand-tossed crunchy coconut rice with fresh herbs, fried garlic, shallot crisp, peanuts, eggs, lime, and baby romaine lettuce; served with housemade caramelized sweet chili sauce* Luang Prabang Lemongrass Sausage ($16.90) - aromatic housemade pork sausage with fresh herbs, jasmine rice, ground pork belly, and served with pickled ginger* Lao Beef Jerky - Seen Savahn ($15.90) - housemade fried dehydrated beef with peppercorn, sesame seeds and spices, served with charred tomato jeow, and a side of sticky riceEntrees* Crispy Pork Belly Soup ($26.90) - "traditionally served as breakfast in Laos," coconut curry broth with lime leaf, julienned vegetables, peanuts, eggs, fresh herbs, rice noodles, and crispy pork belly* Green Papaya Salad ($16.90) - hand-julienned unripe papaya, tomatoes, peanuts, housemade tamarind dressing, and sticky rice; with fresh Thai chili added to heat preference* Duck Laab ($26.90) - hand-tossed meat salad with fresh local herbs, spicy lime and fermented Padek fish sauce, shredded galangal, toasted rice powder, and sticky rice* Sea Bass Mok ($40.90) - eight ounces of aromatic sea bass marinated in a housemade curry with coconut cream, wrapped in a banana leaf and baked; served with sticky rice* Kua Mee Lao - Pad Lao ($24.90) - caramelized fried rice noodle, julienned egg omelette, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, peanuts, and fried tofu (can also choose pork belly or shrimp for your protein)Dessert* Purple Rice ($10.90) - "traditional Laotian dessert" with purple sticky rice, fresh mango, coconut custard, and palm sugar tamarind caramel sauceOverall, I thought all of the food and drink were fresh and tasty. There wasn't a single bad item. Everything was presented beautifully as well. For me, the standouts were the Lemongrass Sausage, Crispy Pork Belly Soup, Green Papaya Salad, Duck Laab, and Purple Rice. That said, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the items listed above. They were all enjoyable in their own unique way. For example, I thought the quality of the Sea Bass was very good. It was tender and flavorful.Service was exceptional. Two examples: (1) Our server neatly packed and labeled my leftovers. (2) One of my coworkers wanted some of the local cookies, but they were sold out. The manager got my coworker's name so he could set aside free cookies for her the next time she visited. How nice and thoughtful of him."
"I liked the drunken noodles for lunch on a recent Saturday. They were loaded with vegetables and chicken, and the noodles were cooked just right. Plus, drunken noodles can be quite oily, but these weren't. They also weren't too salty. The dumplings were good as a starter, too.The service was fast and friendly, and they do social distancing right. The staff wore masks and tables were well spaced. They also have an outdoor patio."
"So I ordered my food to go and when I sat down at home, starving and looking forward to trying their version of Eggplant with Garlic Sauce. So imagine my great sadness when I realized that they didn't pack it. I checked my receipt, and I definitely ordered and paid for it. So, not getting my main dish that I was seriously craving was a real disappointment. I ordered vegetable tempura as a tiny appetizer and ended up making that my whole dinner. It was good! My mom got Chicken Broccoli and said it was incredibly bland. She would not order it again."
"As a fan of Thai food, I was excited to order from Thaipoon Bistro. I placed a future take-out order before they opened for 12 pm. I liked the convenience of ordering in advance. Our order was ready upon arrival and accurate. We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, vegetarian Tom yum soup, Tom yum fried rice, and lo mein noodles. We enjoyed each of the items. The soup especially had great flavor. The lunch special came with a salad. By the time we ate our meal the salad was very soggy. I recommend packaging the salad separately from the food and dressing. Prices and portions are reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our meal and recommend this restaurant to others!"
"Love the location, parking is great. You can literally park in front of the building for pick up. Interior design is beautiful and cozy if you're in the mood to dine in!Consistently cooked to perfection, I won't go anywhere else in Chapel Hill for wide rice noodles. The price is extremely fair for dinner ranging from $13 is a huge bargain for a full meal in this area!Posting this after my second day in a row of dining in at their restaurant. Needless to say: REPEAT CUSTOMER FOR LIFE"
"Sushi is buy 1 get one free.. not a bad deal so next time I come I will probably get the same.. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and it was really good. I enjoyed it, my co workers got edamame and drunken noodles and sashimi.. I didn't eat the sashimi but the drunken noodles and the edamame were good.. I can't wait to come back and get some more.. the service was good too, our waiter was super attentive to our needs.."
"Got this order from Door Dash and the Hibachi was delicious, and the Spring Rolls were pretty good and you can't go wrong with Bubble Tea to cool you down..I have ordered from here a few times and I have yet to be disappointed....Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are hungry and the prices aren't too bad either..."
"Doesn't look much on the outside but let me tell you. This place is a little gold mine here in Goldsboro. Has a cool bar area and it's a cool little spot. The Satay is a great street food and the peanut sauce was so good! The chicken was high quality! The Tom sum or papaya salad is very refreshing change with it being a hot summers day. I like spice and I asked for a 3 out of 1-5 spice level. It was really good! I would even say authentic. If I was living in Goldsboro this is my Go-To!!! The pricing is pretty steep for the portion size that is my only thing that I have as a negative with this spot!"
"If I gave Bangkok 54 five stars ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/bangkok-54-chapel-hill ) then I have to give Thai Palace five stars. These are both solid Thai restaurants on highway 54 in Chapel Hill. I could easily give these places "just" four stars, but I think they are great for the area so I'm giving them generous fives. My wife and I have been to Bangkok 54 numerous times because of its proximity to our apartment. We've been very happy with it. That said, I think these two restaurants are equal in terms of food and service. If we lived closer to Thai Palace, we'd come here more often. The two restaurants are only 2.6 miles from one another. For those familiar with Bangkok 54, here's a list of advantages that Thai Palace has:1. Thai Palace is bigger. There's more seating. They even have a private room.2. Thai Palace is nicer. It has a more elevated ambiance. Their tableware and dish presentation is more beautiful too.3. Thai Palace offers dishes that Bangkok 54 does not. Examples include Soft Shell Crab ($20.95), Crying Tiger ($19.95), and soups served in hot pots (e.g., Tom Kha Talay and Poe Tak, $16.95 each).4. Thai Palace has online ordering. Bangkok 54 does not.Thai Palace is located in the Glenwood Square shopping center ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/glenwood-square-shopping-center-chapel-hill ), same as the Fresh Market, on 54 (Raleigh Rd) near 15-501 (Fordham Blvd). It's just east of UNC's campus. We visited on a Tuesday for dinner and the place was moderately busy with a combination of both dine-in and takeout customers. There were two lady servers busy taking care of the entire dining room and to-go orders. The restaurant can be deceivingly large because the dining room is partitioned into a few different spaces. They have outdoor patio (umbrella-covered) seating too. Here's what the two of us got:AppetizersA1. Sate Chicken (5 skewers for $7.95) - grilled chicken marinated with Thai herbs and coconut milk; served with peanut sauce and cucumber saladSoupsS3. Tom Yum Soup ($10.95) - hot and sour soup with chicken (or tofu), mushrooms, lemongrass, kaffir leaves, lime juice, and hot pepperHouse SpecialtiesH3. Bangkok Duck ($20.95) - crispy deboned duck topped with panang curry paste and coconut milk with broccoli; comes with bowl of riceEntreesE8. Pad Eggplant ($13.95) - with pork (+$1) stir-fried with chili, garlic, bell peppers, Thai basil and eggplant; comes with bowl of riceBeverages* Thai Iced Tea (Cha-Yen) ($3.95)* Singha ($5) - "the original Thai beer"Everything was delicious, especially the Bangkok Duck -- that was a recommendation from our server. It was outstanding. The duck had excellent texture and the panang curry sauce was spot-on; rich, sweet, and nutty. We love vegetables and liked how the dish came with plenty of broccoli. The plating was eye-catching as well. The Pad Eggplant was colorful and filling. For entrees like this, you can choose from 10 different/combinations of "proteins." I put proteins in quotes because one of the options is mixed veggies. The pork that came with our Pad Eggplant and the chicken that came with our Sate were good quality. In general, the vegetables in all of the dishes were fresh. I enjoyed the Pad Eggplant which came with big, appetizing chunks of purple eggplant. My wife thinks it was either Chinese or Japanese eggplant. This is another example of a dish that Thai Palace offers that Bangkok 54 does not. (We've gone to Bangkok 54 so much that it's hard for me not to make comparisons.)Along with Sate Chicken, Sate Pork is an option. The chicken skewers were tender and tasty. The condiments were great. I especially liked the cucumber salad which had carrot, red onion, and I think sugar and vinegar. Both the cucumber salad and peanut sauce - which was sweet and savory - were perfect with the lightly-marinated chicken. The Tom Yum Soup was terrific. It was light, refreshing, and the broth was addictive. I couldn't stop drinking it. It was robust and full of flavor; savory, tangy, mildly spicy, and comforting. One bird's eye chili was served in the soup in case we wanted more heat.I recommend everything we ordered, with my personal favorite and top recommendation being the Bangkok Duck. Again, everything was plated beautifully. The Thai Iced Tea was yummy and par for the course (most are yummy). The Singha hit the spot. That's the only Thai beer they offered here. They also had Asahi Japanese beer and a couple local beer selections plus sake and wine.Service was fantastic. I liked how they spread out dine-in parties evenly. The servers were polite, appeared experienced, and worked efficiently. The Wi-Fi password was Padthai123. I have T-Mobile and the signal inside was poor so the Wi-Fi definitely came in handy. We look forward to returning and trying some different dishes including their noodle dishes."
"I'm saying it but this is the BEST Thai Food in Durham and possibly Raleigh-Triangle. Over the past 9-years of living in the area, I've searched near and far for quality Thai food but always fell short. Don't get me wrong, most are good but always fell into the "fusion" category. Twisted Noodles is straight up Thai food! From the flavors to the portions, everything was about quality.I stopped in for a late dinner and the moment I walked in, I was hit by the smell of a good ole' Thai cooking! I knew I was in for a treat. It was a beautiful night so I decided to grab a seat outside. I can tell that they were busy with folks dining in and especially take-out. People were coming in non-stop. It took a bit of time to get my menu but I understood the struggles of owning a restaurant with good food. The menu featured all of the legit Thai dishes you could think of. I was so surprised to see my favorite on there -- Rad Na! It's basically noodles topped with a gravy like sauce. This is rare to find in the area. It was amazing! The sauce was very balanced with sweetness, tartness, and saltiness. I also ordered the chicken green curry which was on point too. The portion was big enough for 2-3 people to share. I was so happy to bring home leftovers.Overall, amazing food and good customer service from start to finish. Don't sleep on "Twisted Noodles"!"
"I cannot believe I have not written a review for this gem! To date, I have been to Osha 4 times. Including for date night on Valentine's Day. The restaurant is cozy and can get pretty crowded during busy times. I have always had exceptional service from each server and they were helpful when giving recommendations. And the food is always amazing! Super fresh, and flavorful. My favorites are the Salmon Skin Roll, the green curry, and any seasonal dessert! Each dessert has not missed! 9/10 - one of my favorite restaurants in the area"
"Note: Queen of Pho was renamed to Siamzap Pho on Yelp within the past couple weeks. This review describes our visit under the Queen of Pho business name.In this area, which is a pho desert, for the pho and service alone, Queen of Pho was decent. In Chapel Hill, we liked the pho at Queen of Pho better than the pho at Pho Happiness on West Franklin St: https://www.yelp.com/biz/pho-happiness-chapel-hill.The Goi Cuon (fresh spring rolls) and Bun Bo Hue (Hue-style noodle soup) left something to be desired. We appreciated our server Vicky's honesty. Honest almost to a fault (more on that below). Overall, service was top-notch from everyone including Vicky, her kids, and the kind folks in the kitchen. This is very much a humble, mom-and-pop business. The dishes came out fast, especially the pho. Here's what we got:A1. Saigon Fresh Rolls - Goi Cuon (2 for $5.99) - protein (we chose pork) wrapped in rice paper with lettuce and steamed vermicelli, served with peanut sauceP7. Pho Beef Combination - Pho Dac Biet x2 (medium bowl, $12.99 each) - beef broth, cooked 100% from beef bone (not instant), rice noodles, green and yellow onion, basil, bean sprouts, lime (seasonal); meats described belowP12. Hue Style Spicy Beef Soup - Bun Bo Hue (medium bowl, $12.99) - pho noodles, beef shank, mixed beef, pork, and shrimp brothThe amount of meat in the Goi Cuon was sad. Miniscule. Really thin slices of pork, not even close to any of the other Goi Cuon I've had. I do think it's nice they give you different protein options: shrimp, pork, chicken, tofu. Most Vietnamese restaurants I've been to don't offer that. And the rolls were indeed made fresh. However, the meat was close to non-existent and therefore, the rolls were more like eating vermicelli and shredded lettuce rice wraps.Whenever I order pho, I like to get the Pho Dac Biet, which is pho with everything. Here that means rare eye round steak, beef shank, fatty brisket, tripe (beef stomach), and beef tendon meatball. The broth was delicious. It tasted genuine. The meat quality was good. I think the portions could have been better, but they were fair for the price. In general, I thought the prices were reasonable. The veggie quality was good too. The only veggie that was missing was culantro, but around these parts, I'm not surprised. On the menu, I like how they say the lime is "seasonal" because pretty much every other pho restaurant I've been to that has served lemon instead of lime doesn't say why.As far as bowl sizing goes, it's relative and subjective, but I think Queen of Pho's three bowl sizes should be small, medium, and large instead of medium, large, and extra large. In other words, our "medium" bowls felt more like "small" bowls, to give you an idea of what to expect. The Bun Bo Hue was disappointing. It was too spicy. I love spicy food and it was too spicy, even for me. I did order it after reading the warning on the menu: "KINDLY BE AWARE IT'S VERY HOT SPICY!!!" Our server Vicky warned me too. So, I was okay taking the loss and ordering a second Pho Dac Biet to eat in its place.Spice aside, Queen of Pho's Bun Bo Hue was unlike any I've seen. Vicky was real with us and said the reason they serve pho noodles in their Bun Bo Hue instead of the traditional, rounder, thicker rice noodles is because of the lack of demand for Bun Bo Hue at their restaurant. In this area, that's understandable. After hearing about how spicy the Bun Bo Hue was and how they use pho noodles in it, I considered ordering one of the vermicelli (bun) dishes. Vicky told us they were out of the pickled carrots and daikon radish along with some other ingredient(s) that normally go with bun. Again, we appreciated Vicky's honesty, but I was starting to run out of options to order! We saw Vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi) on the picture menu, but during our visit, Vicky said they weren't serving banh mi either.Along with the aforementioned dishes, Queen of Pho serves stir-fried egg noodles (mi), Vietnamese crispy egg noodles (mi xao gion), and rice (com) and fried rice (com chien) dishes. They also offer Vietnamese smoothies (sinh to) with boba and Vietnamese iced coffee (ca phe sua da). If you're familiar with Vietnamese food, I'd come here with tempered expectations. I think you can only expect so much in this area.Queen of Pho opened in March 2017 in the Timberlyne Village (Food Lion) shopping center near I-40 exit 266. It replaced the old Queen of Sheba Ethiopian restaurant: https://www.yelp.com/biz/queen-of-sheba-chapel-hill."
"TLDR: Reasonably priced and portioned Asian food with great flavor. Takeout only after 3 pm. Easy online ordering and pick-up. Decent place for Asian cuisine in Raleigh! We decided to try out a new restaurant for Chinese and picked Ni Asian Kitchen. After 3 pm, they switch to takeout only. We placed a to-go order online. The website was easy to use and the entrees are customizable. I like how they offer choice of all protein options for each entree. Estimated pick up time was 30 min after placing the order. Our order was ready on time and accurate. They were booming on a Saturday evening. The tables were filled with takeout orders and a line of customers inside. I can see why they are popular. The menu is varied and affordable. Plus delicious with heathy and not-as-healthy options. We picked 5 entrees plus an appetizer which came to $70. We ordered orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Thai basil tofu, Dan Dan noodles with chicken, pot stickers, and vegetable lo mein. All of the items were good and included fresh veggies. The only item we did not like as much was the orange chicken. It lacked orange flavor and mainly tasted like green peppers. We were quickly satisfied and saved about half for leftovers. Overall, we had a good experience here and recommend this restaurant to others!"
"My youngest and I came on a Saturday and it was starting to get busy. Most of the people waiting were Door Dashers and others had call in orders. We were seated within 5-7 minutes and that was because I opted to wait for a booth. Our server was attentive and helpful with any questions I had about the menu. They offer BoGo sushi which is always a plus in my book! My son ordered from the kids menu ( chicken lo mein) which was way more than enough for him and i to share. I ordered the American Dream and Sexy Girls specialty roll, and pad Thai, which comes with soup or salad, I chose hot and sour soup. The soup came out rather quickly and was flavorful. I have a habit to let servers know if my son's food is ready before mine, feel free to bring it out first. When she bought his food out I honestly thought I had ordered something else because it was a lot of food for it to be a kids meal. He didn't waste time enjoying it and I was able to grab a few noodles to taste and everything was good and hot. My sushi came out soon after and it did not disappoint at all. If not mistaken I believe it was about 8 rolls each. Needless to say when my main course came out I didn't even touch it bc I was absolutely full! Between the soup and sushi I had plenty. Everything was fresh and made to order. You can actually dine at the sushi bar and watch them make it in front of you. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars was because the cell service in the building was horrible! I had a few phone calls that every other word was scrambled, we couldn't get on the internet and I couldn't call out even with showing 3 bars on my phone. I honestly thought it was my service bc they are a hit and miss sometimes but I asked one of the servers and they mentioned it was the building itself. Service is not good at all in there. Overall the food was delicious and we now have a go to for our bogo sushi."
"The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived and we got a nice booth in the middle. It is clean and nicely decorated. We had hot sake which was good and then sushi for two which was delicious. It was fresh, nice sized pieces, good variety and yummy. The service was great, our waiter was sweet and professional. Great sushi in a great environment. Was reasonably priced too. We didn't use the BOGO but there is for the rolls."
"Love this small family owned restaurant. We have been coming here since we moved to Holly Springs and they haven't changed their quality in good. In fact they give attention to details. Most restaurant only keep one size straw but they have straws for children and I was so impressed by this. Loyal customers come back even though there's another Thai restaurant in town that serves sushi. It might not be super packed during lunch but you get serve quickly and greeted well. The food is delicious, fresh and well cooked. We ordered dumplings and fried cheese sticks for a starter. The dumplings's skin was crispy and filled. It paired well with the soy dipping sauce. The cheese sticks are gooey and very stretchy. As for the main dish, I got a pad see ewe with shrimp. I love how they make their sauce and the noodles are spot on. This is what I normally get.On my recent visit, I tried something new! I got pad Woon combination (beef, chicken and shrimp. It is served with rice. This dish reminds me of Filipino pancit. I liked it.The fish cake is nice but it has a kick. It comes with a fish peanut sauce which was delish. My daughter loved her shrimp on a blanket. This is certainly a place to come back to. It might not like be the big one down the street but they offer great dish that tastes sooo good."
"Ok everyone go check out Mia Bistro!!! We had heard about a new Asian restaurant opening up in the area and hadn't gotten around to checking it out yet, but one day after a movie, we were hungry and stumbled in looking for a late lunch.I was excited to see so many delicious sounding Thai dishes on the menu. We got the som tum (papaya salad), crab fried rice, and Thai iced tea. Everything tasted authentic and incredible. We were pausing to compliment the flavors after every bite. The crab fried rice was a little pricey, but there were a lot of chunks of crab in it.The ambiance of the restaurant is really cute and slightly upscale. Service was also really friendly and attentive. I'm so excited to come back and try some more dishes!"
"This restaurant is so cute and intimate. They had soft music and ambient lighting. It is perfect for a couple or date. They have a fairly steady stream of takeout orders and so i was able to get a sense of there usual customer base which seems to be older. I say this because I realized in hindsight I should have asked for more spice and different veggies. The flavor of my meal was excellent, but I tend to be more adventurous. I don't think there regulars are the adventurous sort. Moral of my story ask if you want something more adventurous or spicy. My husband got the duck and he ate his and finished mine. Nothing more to be said, he was beyond satisfied which really was my goal. Definitely a mission accomplished."
"Fabulous thai food. Excellent and pleasant service. A varied menu. My fav is the soft shell crab in a mild spice green asparagus sauce. Ambiance is pleasant and clean. Pat, the waitress is awesome."
"I've been wanting to try C&T. I ordered takeout for a bite to eat. The take-out process was smooth. No complaints. The General Tso was sweet and spicy. More spice than I'm typically used to but enjoyable. All of the pieces of chicken were not cooked to the same evenness. Some pieces of chicken were cooked a bit much for me. Very little fried rice was given. This should be increased. The pain-fried dumplings were meaty and pretty good. I enjoyed the spring roll. Overall, this satisfied my cravings. I could get three meals from it minus the rice."
"Ordered to go and got the chicken drunken noodles, pork spicy eggplant and the papaya saladService: 5/5 food came out pretty quicklyAmbiance: 3/5Price: 5/5 pretty inexpensive for ThaiFood: 4/5 The papaya salad was ok but the drunken noodles were great. I got 2/3 spiciness though I think I would have gotten 3 instead. There were surprisingly a lot of vegetables in the drunken noodles since most spots just do mostly noodles. The spicy eggplant was also good"
"On a Sunday afternoon, there is a conundrum on Creedmoor when it comes to ordering Chinese takeout. There is only 1 decent takeout place in the Creedmoor/Butner area, and it was closed. So, I talked my buddy into ordering for his family and I ordered takeout for my bride and myself from Panda Garden. I decided to try something on the menu I had never had before, anywhere, the Singapore rice noodle. Decent dish, I really liked it. Not as spicy as I hoped it would be but I have a variety of hot sauces at the house that can really liven dishes up. The Crab Rangoon were also good. The order was up quickly and back up the road to Creedmoor we went. All in all, Creedmoor to here, ordering upon arrival, cooking/prepping and then back to Creedmoor was right at 1/2 hour.Quick service and better food than what was available in the immediate Creedmoor area. It seems it might be worth the drive to keep coming out here or to see if GrubHub will deliver."
