"We did the $15.99 buffet in the weekday and it had quite the variety for vegetarians. The appetizer Bhaji was crisp and the paneer Methi Malai was actually very good. The spicy mini idlis with chutney and sambar pretty much blew it out of the park in the Idli category so that to me was a winner! The drawback was that naan were sitting in the buffet- tough and chewy so it would really benefit if they brought them to the table in smaller quantities. People would enjoy it 100% better while less get wasted sitting out in the buffet. I wish they had a dal on the buffet it was lacking and sambar doesn't quite replace a good tomato dal.The goat biryani was pretty great and 3 chicken varieties got all the meat eaters satisfied. Service was decent given the crowds and the ambiance could be improved if they switched the songs to instrumental Indian music keeping with a better atmosphere for conversations while enjoying the food!"
"This was our first visit. Wow! Go on Friday when everyone gets free cake. Who knew?!? We've been encouraged to try this Oyster Bar and Seafood Restaurant. We were a party of three and made a reservation earlier in the day. Seated on time and our server Jenn was super friendly! The oysters from Chesapeake were very good steamed. We finished off a half peck in short order ($25). We had 3 different entrees: fried flounder, lobster roll, and house salad with seared tuna. Other than disappointing mac and cheese and nothing special fried okra, we enjoyed our meal and excellent service. The environment is casual and welcoming. We enjoyed red velvet, pineapple and carrot cake later in the evening after taking our complimentary desserts home. Carrot cake got the blue ribbon. I highly encourage anyone in the Goldsboro area who enjoys seafood to stop in. There are some land lubber items on the menu."

Visit Restaurant Page"Had the shrimp po' boy with fries. You can alternatively get it with coleslaw or other sides. I bought a po' boy in New Orleans recently that was not as good as this one. Really flavorful and generous. The bread was a dense crumb that didn't fall apart, the shrimp was tender with a crisp outside, the tomatoes were juicy and the sauce was just a little bit spicy. You can add hot sauce, too. Plus, it was a great deal for the price! Filling and tasty... What more can you ask for??"
"We dined in for lunch on the weekend and had a good experience, it was a good spot to watch football. To start we had a round of drinks (mimosas are $5 for a little Sunday funday action) and the crab dip. For food it was an order of the king crab legs that my mom and I split, and the jambalaya for my husband. It is expensive but it was delicious."
"My friend suggested Cape Fear Seafood Company and I'm so glad she did!! Cape Fear is bright and welcoming, almost like a you are transported to Maine. The dress code is casual but I'd say it's best to dress in more business casual (think khakis, polo shirts, summer dresses, that sort of thing...I call it "Hamptons style" if anything). McKayla (?) was our waitress and was phenomenal! One of the best waitresses ever! We were also greeted by the manager as well. Great service all around. I may have ordered too much but it all looked good. The Clam Chowder was delicious and tasted like it has a little Tabasco in it (not spicy). I also ordered the lavender cocktail and though it is very small, it was delightful. I also ordered the Calabash Whole Boat with a side of risotto. Everything was outstanding and the seafood was fresh. I will be back for more!"
"Pretty average experience. The service was quite good, but the food was so so. I ordered the fish sandwich (as I was looking for something on the lighter side), and it arrived in an unusual way. It appears they cooked some fish fingers and laid them on a bun instead of a full piece of fish. Not what I was expecting. And, consequently, this approach ended up giving you a lot more breading making it a heavier meal. And, the taste was not that great. On the flip side, their desserts are pretty interesting. They make these cakes in large rectangular block with multiple layers of cake, filling, and frosting where each slice ends up being a 6 inch by 6 inch piece (with one inch thickness). I selected the coconut cream and it was very good. So, maybe next time, we skip the meal and go straight for the dessert?"
"One word: Delicious! I ordered a steam pot with crab legs and shrimp. I mixed the granchio butter with lemon pepper perfection. Everything was cooked perfectly! The shrimp and crab came right out of the shell, the butter seasoning was excellent. You scoop up some of that seasoning with your meats and it's amazing. The potatoes and corn are a perfect match with the boil. The best part, everything was so reasonably priced! So many seafood boil places are so pricy and this place is pretty reasonable. It's a intimate little spot but definitely worth the visit! A gem for sure!"
"The broiled trout entree with baked potatoe was good. The fish was cooked properly and I liked that the baked potatoe wasn't already dressed with sour cream or butter. Hush puppies were warm and tender. Server Amy was prompt and polite."
"Best food in Asheboro. Started with a fresh crispy salad big enough for two.The fried oysters were cooked Calabash style with deviled crab, two large flounder filets, a baked potato with hushpuppies.Service was fast and our server was cordial and attentive. Clean restrooms.Worth the trip from Cary to Asheboro.Highly recommend."
"Food was so good ! I had a beautiful margarita and used my Yelp coupon for free queso. I had the tortilla appetizer and it was enough for a full mealThe waitstaff were excellent. I have never been seated and received my food so quickly. What a great restaurant!! A little noisy but you can also sit outside"
"Saw this spot after leaving Big Lots and thought I would give it a try. This place is super big and clean. The tables are social distanced, and all staff members are wearing mask (properly) with gloves. I ordered the shrimp po boy sandwich with cajun fries. The wait for my food wasn't long at all and it came out piping hot. My waiter was really attentive and kept my drink full. The food was really good - fries were crispy but not hard, the shrimp was seasoned perfectly and the lettuce was crisp. This was my first time here, but definitely not my last!"
"I will start off this review by saying that I probably did not order the right thing here, I ordered a po-boy which had fried shrimp and crab meat. It isn't actually what I ordered, I ordered the shrimp and fish po boy but they got my order wrong and I didn't say anything. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I just didn't think it was anything special. There was a lot of shrimp and for the price I guess I shouldn't complain, it just wasn't something that I would drive out of my way to eat again. I did however like the french fries, they were crispy and had good flavor. I looked at some of their other food menu items and to be honest I think I would have had better luck ordering something different. But there's always a next time!"

Relatively new Indian restaurant in Morrisville. I want to compliment the interior - there is a huge mural inside that's beautiful, and the decor / settings are very tasteful. For my order, I got the Majjiga Pulusu/Moore Kulambu (vegetables cooked in yogurt and coconut gravy) and Bullet Naan (a little more spicy than plain naan). The flavor was superb, because they don't play around with the spice. Service was friendly but could be a tad slow at times - I was with a friend and his dish came out about 5 minutes after mine did, which I didn't enjoy for him. Except for that, was an excellent experience and I would return to try more items from the (huge!) menu.

Came in for a late lunch. Friendly, quick service and fresh oysters. What more could you ask for? I started with some raw oysters on the half shell because how do you come to an oyster bar and not have oysters? Don't be silly. And then of course to continue with my oyster obsession, I got some fried oysters with fried okra. All good and all fresh. Nice lunch spot!

I'm not from here, so I've never seen a restaurant with all bar seating, but I loved it! Let's you get more personal with the employees. Who by the way are absolutely fun and great to banter with. Anywho, on to the food!! It was all you can eat crab night but my gf and I were definitely in for the oysters so we got the 3lb plate. It was more than enough! I really wanted to try other things but knew my tummy wouldn't have ever let me. The coleslaw and the potatoes are BOMB! We also got the salted caramel cheesecake to go. Don't sleep on their desserts. I can't wait to come back into town and eat here again!

This was my first time eating at a Cape Fear Seafood. This was a spur of the moment decision and it was a good one. The dining facility was impeccably clean. Our server, Alex C, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The freshness and quality of the food exceeded my expectations. I had the clam chowder and shrimp and grits. The shrimp was very clean tasting, with no metallic tri-poly-phosphate flavor. My mother had the fish and chips, which was an enormous portion. Easily could be a shared plate, and my daughter had the shrimp scampi, which was noted as best she's ever had. Kudos to the CFS team.

Found this restaurant located off Interstate 85 headed home. This looks to be a sports bar with a cute patio. We (party of 3) were immediately seated however, 3 waitresses walked past me (there were only 3 tables seated in our section ). I finally asked someone if there is a waitress here to assist us. A few minutes a waitress comes out to get our drink order. I asked her if we could order our food as well because we are hungry. Our food came out pretty fast ...Entree Stuffed Shrimp with crab meat. Tasted like it was warmed up and not fresh. Sides : Steamed Broccoli / not steamed enough ...it was hard. Spinach Risotto - I asked for this to be substituted for mashed potatoes. They eventually brought it out - very tasty!! Lemon- was not drizzled on the shrimp. My kids enjoyed their food - macaroni and cheese meal and cheeseburger/ fries meal. The waitress comped my kids meal / Thank You! I think she could tell I was disgusted. There is a small bakery with desserts at the entrance of the restaurant/ the cakes looked beautiful but I didn't want to take a chance. I tried it once but I won't return.

Why is this place not getting the big crowds it deserves --of course, I wanted to gate-keep this spot for ourselves too but they are amazing! The food was not only neatly plated, but it was all amazing! Hands down, the best seafood in RDU area where the house sauce is not salty or garlicky like other places + Alfredo sauce was not heavy but just right. Very small business, leaving the service to be top tier and very personable. Since seeing other previous reviews, they have changed to full service and take orders at the table. Will definitely be back as a regular customer!

Excellent food- good service - convenient location -a level building that if space available you can almost pull up to the door. A favorite of the community & travelers passing by. Across from a super Walmart and other shopping experiences nearby & trauma center
Visit Restaurant Page"I had a wonderful dinner at East End Bistrot. First off the decor is fire, I love how much thought Giorgio Group puts into all their restaurants. They have a great patio setup as well as the weather warms up. They have a great cocktail and wine list. I started off with the sparkling rose. I did order two glasses of it. The first glass was from an open bottle that was way flatter than the second glass I ordered. It was still quite tasty though! For apps my friend and I shared the crab souffle. So tasty! Loved pouring the hot butter right through the tasty souffle. We also got the asparagus salad that was a refreshing spring dish. We then shared the delmonico with the roasted jewel potatoes. The delmonico (rib eye with more fat than their other rib eye option) was delicious and cooked perfectly. The kitchen sent us this amazing goat cheese and strawberry bite after dinner and we also got the guava cheesecake. The perfect sweet endings to the meal. Our server was Cal and he was great. It was a really lovely evening. It's expensive, but that's the whole vibe the entire space is going for. I'll be back!"
"We came here for a birthday party and reserved the private back room. The prices are super fair. Friendly staff and service. The hush puppies are absolutely delicious! I ordered the flounder with a baked potato. The flounder portion was huge. I was only able to eat two of the three pieces."
"Wow! What an amazing addition to Iron Works. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and you can tell they thought of everything. Our server was super friendly and made some great wine recommendations. Starting out with the straciatello and it did not disappoint. Loved the salted strawberries and the bread cooked in pork fat that accompanied it. The other highlight for me was the spaghetti Al Nero. The pasta and sauce was just so delicious and flavorful. The whole branzino and the salt cod potatoes were also spot on. I'd order everything again! For dessert we had the olive oil cake and the vanilla and hazelnut gelato twist. The cake was moist and delicious. The star for me was the gelato though, I would eat that everyday. Looking forward to heading back in soon!"
"Stopped in for an early dinner and ordered their special for the day which comes with slaw, hushpuppies, and your choice of a side. The portion size was huge and the food was good and filling. The dining area as well as the restrooms were clean and the restaurant staff was very attentive."
"One of my coworkers recommended this restaurant a while back and we had a taste for seafood so we decided to go since we were in the area. The restaurant is spacious with tables and booths, and has a nautical and aquatic theme throughout the business. We arrived during lunch hours and there was a good amount of people dining in but we didn't have to wait for a table. Our server, TJ was helpful and personable. He took our drink orders and brought over a basket of complimentary hush puppies and butter. They were warm and tasted good. The restaurant has daily specials. I decided to order the grilled mahi mahi fish special. The meal comes with two sides. I wanted a salad but it isn't included in the sides so there was $3.50 up charge to add it to my meal. I got the house salad with French dressing, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, croutons, and greens. I didn't get the onions on my salad. The salad was really good and a nice size for a side salad. I chose to have my mahi mahi blackened and chose fries as my second side. The fish was good but the fries were over cooked. Once brought to TJ's attention he brought out more quickly. I would return and try more menu items."
"Decent fish and chicken place.Had the combination fried whiting and clam strips dinner, with sides (there are a number to choose from) of potato salad and fried okra. Good food and the portion size was nearly enough for two people."
"On our way to Florida, the restaurant was recommended by the staff member at our hotel, during check in. The restaurant is located in an old mill building in town that really cannot be understated. I wish we had been able to explore a little. It was a Wednesday evening, around 7pm and we did not have a reservation. the place was quite busy but we were seated almost immediately. Our bartender/waitperson, Teresa, was accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu.I chose the Seafood Gumbo, along with Mac n Cheese and Cole Slaw while my wife went with lighter fare and ordered a Caesar Salad along with Cole Slaw. After a long day we declined any dessert. The menu looked terrific and I hope to be able to stop in again."
"Great little place to go and grab some seafood! My mom suggested this place to me and I'm happy she did. The seafood is always cooked perfectly, the batter light and crispy. Absolutely love it. The French fries are always cooked beautifully. Hush puppies are great! Cole slaw not too sweet. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is their drive thru. Depending on the day, it moves extremely slow. You will be sitting there for quite some time."
"During the Pandemic time, something tried and true is what we crave. An old school eastern NC barbecue house with most of the dishes you expect. I had fried oysters and barbecued pork. Both were very good and the cole slaw although finely chopped was not so full of mustard. Kinston has quite alot to choose from and King's is still a good value."
"We walked around downtown trying to find something to eat before a concert and we just randomly stopped in cause we were really hungry. You can eat at the bar area or a nice, huge dining room. Scott was our waiter and he was full of life. I ordered a rare salmon filet and a small house salad. The salmon was absolutely delicious. I mean like over the top delicious. My salad was great for $5.00. My friend had the salmon meal with amazing Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. The Brussels were some of the best I have had. I really enjoyed this meal!"
"I've had two really wonderful dinners at G58. The ambiance here is definitely upscale, so I would dress up accordingly. The service has been spot on, super friendly, and helpful. On my most recent visit I went with a larger group so we were able to try a great variety. First off the Peking duck is delicious. You have to call them or note you your reservation that you would like the duck. The skin was so crispy and I loved the fresh pancakes and elevated sauces. Dipping the crispy skin in sugar was not something I've tried before. Our server helped us navigate the menu a bit. We ended up getting their filet and two types of fishes to share to share for entrees. The fish that they boil in hot oil was amazing. It didn't have a super enticing description on the menu, but our server let us know that it wasn't crazy spicy and was perfect for sharing. It held true to his promises! The filet also melted in your mouth and the table loved the beef dumplings as appetizers. I also love that they bring out a little red velvet cake with a candle if you are there for a celebration. Just a nice little touch!"
"Have been here a couple times now. Most recently was over the holidays for a business/holiday event in the private room. We could not have had better, more professional service. Seafood is top of the mind here, but my favorite dish so far is the Chicken Sorrentino. Also recommend the Burrata appetizer. They make it fresh and it's really good. I've had the Scallops before which I liked as well. Others really enjoyed their steaks and seafood.I will say I was not a fan of the hot appetizer combination that I've had here before. It felt like it was lacking acid or brightness and was served without any type of garnishes. Personal preference.Do know it's a relatively small restaurant in a strip mall in the Wakefield area (near Harris Teeter). There is a small bar area, main dining room, and private dining room. Nice neighborhood restaurant and good for business dinners and small parties."
"This has been a family favorite for years! We love coming here at lunch time for their buffet and sweet tea. BBQ is vinegar based and so tasty. They also have freshly fried chicken and sausage. The buffet is loaded with tons of fixins' including sweet potato, lima beans, gravy, collards, and so much more! Overall, I've been coming here since I was a little girl and it has been consistently delicious."
"Great food, have a buffet or you can get a plate to go. The staff is very friendly and keep your drinks full."
"I was in Dunn to take care of some business and saw this place and didn't expect much. It is located in a strip mall and in a rather unremarkable location. The interior could stand a facelift. The food is mostly seafood if not all seafood. Do one thing and do it right. And they do! Lightly breaded and not overcooked or over salted. Even the coleslaw was to my liking, not sweet nor loaded full of mustard. Try the squash fritters. I have absolutely no other reason to go back to Dunn, NC other than to come back for dinner."
"My mom is visiting and wanted fish so she found this restaurant on Google. And boy was it a good choice. First, we called our order in and the woman who answered the phone had some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. She was patient as we asked a number of questions and explained the menu. We ordered a fish dinner with green beans, cole slaw and an extra corn on the cob (hold the bacon) and a fish and shrimp dinner with green beans and fried okra. Honestly the portion size was large, food was hot and delicious!! I have found a new spot in Goldsboro for fish!!!My only reason for not giving the final star was the number of workers who did not have their masks covering their noses and lack of gloves as the waitress checked orders. COVID has made me more conscious of this and expect more from businesses!"
"Good, solid Indian food in Chapel Hill. The spring dosa was a fantastic appetizer with a few different sauces for dipping. The lamb vindaloo had a decent amount of tender lamb with a great sauce. The chicken tikka masala was great as well. The garlic naan was good. The main area for improvement would be on the service. Our waiter was attentive early on but then was more difficult to get a hold of to ask for the check and some to go boxes. He gave a great recommendation for the spring dosa though. Overall, Cholanad is a solid restaurant and I will come back!"
"Great . Very clean , food and service was outstanding! ! I would highly recommend this place."
"It may be Salt Grass Steak House on the outside, but the inside is still screaming Lone Star Steak House. The least they could do is put some effort into the interior decor and at least patch the holes in the walls, I am not sure where the profits from the higher than normal priced steaks are going, obviously they are not going back into the dining experience. They do serve some hearty appetizers, the queso fresco comes with a lot of chips and SODIUM, but not much brisket. This one will definitely keep you running back to the bar! I was a bit disappointed in the chuck wagon cheese fries as I was expecting actual fries, not potato wedges. But if you insist on serving potato wedges instead of fries, might I recommend an oil salt and smoked paprika bath to give them some flavor? Cheese and bacon can only do so much for plain potatoes!I felt they served a good steak and controlled the temperature well, but why would any steakhouse that takes pride in their meat serve A1 steak sauce? Instead of slapping yourself in the face, why not serve a house Bearnaise to compliment the meat rather than soiling it. The staff are great and they do travel off the beaten path to provide a good experience. They have an active following in Knightdale, make sure to call ahead for reservations if you plan to dine out. Cheers!"
"Quick tip: call in your order during popular lunch or dinner times especially since there's not much parking or room to wait inside. Jack's has always been one of my Raleigh favorites. I love so many of their menu items and honestly have never had a bad meal. They have many a couple of changes like there's an increase in cost when you pay with card instead of cash and they charge for refills. With the increase in supplies and food cost I'm not surprised by these changes. When it comes to real soul food Jacks will always be my go to. Their sides are flavorful and they don't use pork to season them."
"Delicious! This steak house is phenomenal! I went for my birthday celebration. I'm so happy my companion picked the place. So so good! The bread and butter was a great start. The butter was a standout. My dining companion wanted to take some home. Unfortunately. I didn't like any of the wine I tasted. So I ordered an apple cider martini. It was one of the drinks on special. It was very good. So glad I chose that drink. I ordered a wedge salad. It was also delicious. I ordered a ribeye and had two sides. Baked potato and wedge salad were my sides. I couldn't have been happier. I will be recommending this place to everybody."
"First time here. The parking was outrageous. Barely anywhere to park. That told me that this place must be good. We went inside to do a carry out order. It was packed & the mine was long. People were standing everywhere, so it was hard to tell where the line ended. We got in line and waited...& waited...& waited. There were people who came in after us who got their order taken randomly by a young man behind the fresh seafood counter. That was irritating because we waited forever just to get to that part of the line. Anyway, we finally got to order. We got the combo with fried whiting & shrimp with corn and potatoes. Receiving the order didn't take that long. I couldn't wait to get home to try this food out. I ate the shrimp & corn. It was yummy but the shrimp were over cooked. My friend had the fish and the potatoes. He devoured them. He absolutely loved it. I will definitely go back to try them out again. Maybe then I will be able to give them more than 3 stars."
"Durham needs more places like El Chapin - affordable, upbeat, and no-frills.I'm not generally a fan of Central American food, but the Plato Típico Chapin won me over - I actually went back a week later and ordered the same thing again! It's enough food for two people if you add an appetizer (probably even if you don't) and just varied enough to keep you both interested. The folded potato cakes are a nice crispy alternative to fries, and a better vehicle for sauce should you choose to use them that way. I think this was my first time having garnachas - like a little crispy mini-hamburger. And the stuffed pepper was truly stuffed - oozing with meat, cheese, and ribbons of some kind of leafy green and maybe part of the pepper, too.I kind of wish it came with beans in addition to rice, but no problem - just order it with one of their incredibly moist bean tamales. My dining partner got the chicharrones, which were also excellent - crunchy without being tough and hay-like on the inside.I recommend their mango juice (not too sweet, very fresh-tasting) and their champurrado (also not excessively sweet, very cinnamony)."
