The best brisket you will ever eat in all of North Carolina, hands down!!!! Better than Jon G's,, Dampf Good BBQ, Lawrence Barbecue, etc.. Also as good or better than any of the top 10 BBQ joints published in Texas Monthly, which I've been to several.. Their smoked turkey is excellent also!!Their sides are pretty good, but not as good as their BBQ, but I still give this five stars solely on their barbecue!!This is the GOAT, and it won't disappoint!""

Prime Barbecue is an experience that any BBQ lover should partake in. The food at Prime may be some of the best BBQ in North Carolina or at least the Triangle. The best option for anyone is getting the meat platter. The brisket, just from the sight of it, makes your mouth water. The brisket falls apart and will melt in your mouth, giving you a good moment of bliss. The ribs fall off the bones and are full of flavor right down to the bone. The pulled pork is cooked with the right amount of tenderness, dedication, and love felt in every bite. The best part is that all these meats are great without the sauce, but the sauce can give you an extra kick of joy. The baked beans, sweet corn, Mac and cheese, and green beans are all great companions for sides. A cobbler is a perfect finish to feed the dessert belly if you have room after all the meat. The cobbler is always sweet and crisp. If you have a party or want to feed people at home, ordering a whole pork roast or brisket is easy, and it tastes just like you got it straight from the restaurant. The food is exceptional, but honestly, even if the food were just okay, I would go back as the hospitality may almost be better than the food. The long line may be intimidating, but the owner and management team pour their hearts out to ensure everyone has a great experience. They will talk to you in line, give you a tour of where the magic happens, and bend backward to ensure you have the best experience possible. The food was great and the service was friendly. I like the choice of indoor or outdoor seating.

When we got there around 1pm the line was to the door. As soon as we lined up an employee approached us and offered free beer! That was nice! A drink while waiting in line for food. Today I got the loaded baked potato with brisket! They also gave me a few sample slices of the brisket, delicious! We got a pint of Mac n cheese for the kids to share. The cheese gets into the pasta shells. My kids ate it up! The service was fast and they were friendly. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. There is also a nice outdoor area for the kids to play in. Some of the best bbq I've had! I was sad they ran out of the Saturday special Lechon. Got to get there early because they do run out of things.

Great food, good service for a large crowd, plenty of space. I'll go here again! My wife and I both enjoyed our meal here.

I've lived in Raleigh for almost a year now and haven't had BBQ yet (i'm a disgrace), so I figured my long-awaited NC BBQ experience needed to be a great one. I did some research and this spot in Knightdale, Prime BBQ, had some of the best ratings in the area. Let me tell you, it lived up to all the rave reviews. The brisket had the best smoky flavor and was not too fatty like a lot of brisket is. The pork ribs fell right off the bone. The pulled pork was so juicy and flavorful. Baked beans were on POINT and the green beans were alright - nothing to rave about. I also loved their BBQ sauce - it was almost a blend between a sweet, thick BBQ sauce and a vinegar-based one. NOTE get there early if you want any of their daily specials! We showed up at 4:15 on a Saturday after long day with family at nearby Wake Medical hospital. Closing at 5:00 with private event to follow. Worried about availability and quality but only out of ribs. Near the end of the brisket but still very good (would want to retry earlier in day). Young man cutting weighed out 29oz of. Brisket and weighed putting a little more on plate, even picking up a piece before putting it back down. That was hard to watch -to come so close to a little extra only to crash-n-burn. Pulled pork was exceptional, some of best ever had. Mac&cheese was also fantastic. Wife said green beans were too garlicky for her taste. Sauce was great; should have bought a bottle. Love the modern yet old-fashioned soda dispenser with the "good ice." Manager Marcus was awesome. My elderly father scraped his arm and Marcus brought him some band-aids. Very kind. Want to go back to give fair shot.

We placed an online order for pick up and got there at the time that it was to be ready. The lady stopped what she was doing behind the counter to assist my husband and gave him a drink cup and apologized for the wait longer than anticipated wait. (The line was very long which means that the food is going to be good). It was only an additional 10 minutes to get the food BUT...it was worth the wait!! We got sliced brisket, chopped barbecue, sausage, macaroni & cheese, green beans and slaw. My only regret is that I didn't ask for extra sliced potato bread and pickles for the leftovers. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The inside and outside was extremely clean. We'll definitely be going back.

Outstanding food, service, staff and facilities!WOW!! What a great facility in a new part of town. It is closed Sunday & Monday, but open Tuesday-Saturday 11;00-5:00...but, they could close after 3:00 if they run out!! The Brisket was the BEST I've eaten in NC...Ribs and pork BBQ was good also. This is not a "cheep bbq" joint, but a modern uppercut eatery.. Clean and the meat is cut to order in front of you. Pricey, but not out of site like a lot of restaurants in Charlotte where I travel from. GOOD Job!!!
