"Great place it is a drive in only they have few tables outside for on site dinning. The steak tacos are the best here. They do not have chips and salsa wHi h I hope they will add to the menu."
"Ordered pickup from here on a weekday evening. We enjoyed the meal, however, our order was not accurate. Ordered:Build your own burrito ($11.14)Extra bag of chips ($3.58)Shrimp Tacos ($7.90 for 2) - asked for no cheese. They said they could accommodate this but then made them with cheese.Queso ($5.39 for 8 oz.)Salsa was missing from orderPros:-reasonable prices (comparable to similar restaurants)-flavorful food-reasonable portions-easy phone in orders and restaurant pick up-entrees come with chipsCons:-inaccurate orders-door dash prices are higher than restaurant prices so we ended up calling in our order -door dash does not allow item customization -lettuce was soggy"

"This place is my favorite authentic Mexican food place in the area. It's delicious. We've eaten there and orator go. Very consistent."
"This a new location. Here in nightdale. My daughter ordered the pineapple ball and I just ordered a regular ball. The food was fresh flavourful.Delicious all the staff were super friendly. The speed of service was excellent and the overall cost point was pretty much in line.I hope this place makes up"
"Came here for dinner the other night and left satisfied. The booths are intimate and comfortable, our service was awesome and the food was good. The guacamole was so good and fresh, the table salsa has a decent spice to it which is always a plus but it is very tomato based. The tacos I had were flavorful and full of steak. Definitely better experience than what I was expecting based on the reviews"
"I work at UNC and we come to Bandido's for lunch pretty often. Their chips have this super good seasoning on them and the salsa is made fresh. Sometimes the salsa can be quite spicy but it's always delicious. Pre-Covid they had a salsa bar-I'm not sure if they plan to bring that back. I recommend the chimichanga and the margarita chicken bowl. I have never gotten a bad meal here and the staff our wonderful."
"Hit or miss but it's Mexican food You take your chancesThe wait staff is attentive at lunch not in between hours but dinner they're back on their game so if you go at off hours there is not as good of service"
"Y'all ain't even know how much money I've spent on the #5 breakfast burrito at City Bus (currently known as Taco King USA , until he gets his other bus fixed up). The location is in the parking lot right in front of Carolina Detail place. Mac or Emilio, the owner of the bus handles the monetary transactions while his wife does the cooking. He sells a variety of tacos, burritos, tortas, drinks, etc.I cannot talk enough about the #5 breakfast burrito which contains chorizo (Mexican sausage), bacon, eggs , rice , and beans. Get that green sauce too. Ughh. PS. He is consistently closed on Mondays, but is typically there everyday from 8PM-2AM (even though his hours state otherwise). He is sometimes closed on certain days when he has catering events, although there is no social media coverage when he's not gonna be there . I'm still addicted to his food though. Gah these burritos smack."
"LATE NIGHT MUNCHIES... Vacation started today... we, family driving down to Florida but stopped in this city for dinner & crash a night at Days Inn. In mood for mexican food so found this place from yelp. It is easy to find the place, its not complicated navigate to find and pretty obvious place with big sign. Waiter greeting is so super friendly & got us a table. Ordered drinks & foods. Super quick service & checkin' up on us if anything we need/want. Waiter quickly replacing drinks. Love it. We got our foods. WHOA. Thats pretty DELICIOUS!! I got beef fajita quesadilla.. YO its GIANT. I couldnt finish it all but man, its hella delicious, yo! Waiter brought us boxes for us to put our leftovers. Quickly thinking. WOW. Gotta love waiter's service. MAD AWESOME. Ohh, building is really authentic mexican and homemade designs on benches is really cool. Clean! Saw staff do deep cleaning before close. Wha a great restaurant! Truly appreciate how waiter did for us. Love it. Y'all gotta give a shot! Trust me, y'all will like it (or love it). Thank me later whenever y'all want mexican restaurant. THAT PLACE IS WORTH YOUR TIME. Your stomach will thank you. By the way, price is reasonable, really. Remember, its AUTHENTIC. Anyway... give a shot :)"
"I have been eating at El Rodeo restaurants for over 30 years. Currently there are only two locations; downtown and Wake Forest Rd. There used to be one on Hillsborough St and one in Chapel Hill. My current favorite location is the little building on Wake Forest Rd. El Rodeo offers your basic Mexican/American menu but the food is always good and the service is always fast. Reasonable prices, especially on drinks, and they have different drink specials every day of the week."
"great food for an amazing price. the employees are so kind and i always enjoy chatting with them. i have pretty complicated orders with a lot of modifications and they never mess up my order. i love this place and definitely recommend it to anyone ! the desserts are also amazing definitely try some sweets. (my faves are the flan and tres leches)"

A friend from Texas recommended this place to us. What a revelation! The best tacos I've had in NC and the pupusas may have been even better. The food was so authentic and absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to get back there. I'm rarely in Sanford but that will have to change.

This place is definitely a family favorite. We regularly get take out from Salsa Fresh. Pick up is quick and the food is delicious. Kids meals are a good value. We love the burritos and quesadillas.

Our local favorite for Mexican food. They offer authentic dishes or other dishes "Americanized" for the timid. Some weekends, they offer live music from local entertainers. Caters to couples, families or large groups with their larger banquet room in the back.

Restaurant has new owners and they are still a work in progress. The food is excellent and it's not sitting under a heat lamp. They are understaffed possibly due to COVID and just now getting on their feet.

Stumbled upon this great new addition to Knightdale's food scene. As a Californian I am soooo picky when it comes to authentic Mexican dishes and flavors. I have to say I was impressed and will definitely be back.We ordered a few menu items. The quesadilla Al pastor was delicious! The flavors were on point. I ordered a carne asada sope and it reminded me of Ca taqueria food and finally we order steak fries with rice and bean on the side - a staple in Ca! I enjoyed their salsas. I ordered a watermelon Margarita and hands down the next margarita I have tried in the triangle. They use fresh juices!!! This is a new restaurant, nice and clean plus the decor is great. Service was quick, staff as friendly and the food was fantastic. The offer indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking. Highly recommend!

Service was good, she had a sweet personality. Food was ok, I had a chicken burrito was no sauce at all, it was flavorless. The cheese sauce was too thin.

I come to this place often. This is my first time back since the covid pandemic. No more salsa bar :(, which was something I was looking forward. Did increase the price a little bit but still consider it relatively cheap! Service still has been great! Food is still delicious but miss my salsa bar :(

Okay to fill the void but not my first choice in Mexican. Friendly staff always. The food is good. Always clean and plenty of food.

I search and search and Yelp lead me to this Pupuseria . I ordered the bean/cheese, chicken/cheese, carne asada/cheese and barbacoa/cheese (my favorite). Yes, I treated myself ! If you're looking for something different and not trying to break the bank..check them out!"
"Food was so good ! I had a beautiful margarita and used my Yelp coupon for free queso. I had the tortilla appetizer and it was enough for a full mealThe waitstaff were excellent. I have never been seated and received my food so quickly. What a great restaurant!! A little noisy but you can also sit outside"
"We came here for a late lunch and were happy to find they have lunch specials. Plenty to choose from, not just a few like some places. All of them were reasonably priced too.Our waiter came quickly and took our drink order and came back with them. We still had not received any chips and salsa, so I was going to ask the waiter, but just as he returned, they came. The chips were warm and the salsa was good and flavorful.I got a burrito with beans and my friend got a taco, rice and beans. We were both very pleased with our meals. They came out quickly and were hot. Our waiter came by several times to check on us as well as the manager. The decor is typical Mexican, but there are both booths and tables, so this would be a good place for a large group. It was clean and the tables were cleared quickly after a table was emptied. We both like this place better than some of the other places for Mexican we have tried. We will return!"
"It has been so long since we had been here because we had had a couple of not so good experiences, but this Thursday night we decided to give it a whirl again and both of us were very pleased with the improvements. First good sign was the horrible cleaning solution smell was gone! (and no worries- sanitation rating was solid). We were seated at a clean booth near the bathrooms but over looking the water. Service was terrific. Young Guy took very good care of us. I tried the Enchiladas Los Cabos, and Husband got the Beef Chimichangas. They are still doing free chips and salsa (unlike a lot of other places), and they were both good. Salsa tasted fresh and had a little kick to it. Meals came out pretty quickly and were both terrific. I couldn't believe all the seafood in mine! Menu had described these enchiladas as flour tortillas stuffed with avocado and queso fresco with a shrimp & scallop sauce. It was just the opposite. There were three flour tortillas FULL of seafood (yes shrimp and scallops, but I do believe some fish as well...all very good!) And there was even more seafood in the tasty sauce. Avocado and queso fresco were on top and on the side were a lot of greens and tomatoes with sour cream. I loved it and had enough left over for another meal the next day and it was good leftover as well.Husband was happy with his chimichangas. We both were pleased with flavor and quality improvements! As for the atmosphere, it was lively. In the back room where the bar is, we could hear a very fun-sounding birthday party happening. In the dining room, there were large and small groups of happy looking diners and cart-side guacamole was being made. Outside folks were basking in the sun around the pond with a fountain. Staff -hustling and smiling. And the prices were very reasonable, especially in these times of high costs everywhere.Very happy to be able to recommend this Mexican restaurant again!"
"I don't know why I haven't written this place up already, but I have a friend who I always get tacos with and this was her go-to place she introduced me to. It is attached to a little market also, so double bonus if you need to pick up any Mexican food items! The things I love here, especially during covid, is they take orders in advance for pick up, and they give you so much food and it won't hurt your wallet! Their horchata is super refreshing, their tacos you can tell are made with love, and their chicken quesadilla plate that comes with rice and beans is so filling! They really pack it with chicken which is rare to see! My husband loved their fish plate too and we have had their enchiladas that are also a winner. So definitely a place we will keep going back to, and one of the better Mexican food options in the area for sure! Super nice owners and workers here, so if you are hungry this place is for you! It is a tiny little place so if you do want to eat in, just know there are only a few small tables so I think better set up for take out. They have their own entrance from the parking lot too or it connects through the little market!"
"Solid Mexican in Holly Springs. Entrees we're fresh and beans in particular were really good. Salsa also fresh and flavorful. Deep fried avocado a nice surprise, though not sure the corn salsa was necessary. Friendly service and atmosphere."
"Went here last night for the first time. This has always came highly recommended but for some reason we haven't gone yet. When we drove by it looked really busy with people outside waiting but we put our name on the list and only waited about 20 minutes. They had pagers so we waited in the car. This is by far the best Mexican we have found in the area. Now we are from the north so we are used to a little different Mexican and I'm a bit picky (although I don't look it) but I enjoyed my burrito (I did sub out a few things) the drinks were fire too! Bonus- they don't load things with cilantro which I cannot stand the taste so I appreciate light to minimal cilantro. Will for sure come back! Service was very friendly and it was cheap! Under $50 for 2 meals, 2 drinks, guac and even fried ice cream."
"We got a recommendation to come to this place since it is "authentic" and inexpensive. Came for dinner on a Saturday and ordered at the counter after perusing their menu posted on a digital sign. There are no prices listed but we ordered a carne asada plate, tostada cameron, and two horchatas. My Spanish is not great but I was able communicate with the clerk, pay by credit card, and take a numbered sign to our table. Note: there was no option to add a tip on the credit card charge so we put a few dollars in the tip jar. Food came out relatively fast and was good, filling and inexpensive (two of us ate for under $25). They also have a station with salsas and some sides like pico de gallo and vegetables. We don't come to this part of Durham very often but will definitely consider coming back."
"One thing about Mexican food in Raleigh... It is served up quick! The food is pretty tasty, better than the Mexican here in Colorado, and I have eaten the 18" Burrito! WOW that was an undertaking and I did get the t-shirt! The decor is very cool, bright and unique and it seems to be family run too. My wife and I miss this place.HOWEVER... What is it with Mexican places that don't have or offer Hot Sauce!?"
"Very good restaurant. Very seafood heavy menu, but there are some other options for folks not in the mood for seafood. The fresh guac was delicious! I had fish and my friend had ceviche. Both meals were very well prepared and generous portions. Things are a bit pricy, but you get a large portion. Inside is a large dining room with good sized bar to one side. Service was prompt and friendly and kept our drinks re-filled.We were there on a Tuesday and it was not busy, so we lingered over supper for a couple hours chatting and they never tried to rush us out.The restaurant is easy to get to, and there is ample free parking available. This was my first visit, but will not be my last."
"we love the people here. The food is excellent. Get the green enchiladas, chicken, or the tacos you can't go wrong. The short rib tacos on Sunday is amazing."
"I visited Driftwood Cantina with a few coworkers recently and left very happy. The atmosphere is fun and well decorated without being over the top. It was colorful but classy. Our waitress was absolutely amazing and on top of it with everything. We visited around 4:30pm and there were only two people inside, so I'm sure that helped her be as quick as she was. I ordered the Blue Pineapple Margarita and the Hibiscus Margarita for my drinks and they were both outstanding! My coworker ordered the Prickly Pear Mule but because she's a light weight and couldn't finish it, I did the honors and enjoyed that one as well. Driftwood Cantina makes amazing drinks! For my meal, I ordered us bottomless chips with the Cool Salsa to share and the Enchiladas Mole for me not to share because man, those were good!! The chips were well seasoned and the sauce on the enchiladas was decadent. The only negative thing I would have to say is that the prices are a bit high considering you don't get rice and beans on the side, you have to order that separately. Otherwise, everything was delicious and I would absolutely come back again!"
"Amazing! Our company was kind enough to bring us this truck for a recent lunch and all of us were blown away by the quality, taste and quantity.Do know that as great as the tacos are (that I saw and heard about)...they also offer burritos and my personal recommendation...the chicken fajitas! (see pic)...oh so flavorful chicken with peppers and onions and their green hot sauce is phenomenal. I have passed by this truck on Capital Blvd many times and have now learned that passing it by is a mistake. STOP and enjoy!"
"Sanford, N.C., is probably the last place you'd expect to find world-class Mexican food, but a visit to Fonda Lupita will quickly absolve you of that bias. An inauspicious, but spacious, hole-in-the-wall in a dated strip mall, this casual eatery wouldn't warrant a second glance were it not for the national acclaim it deservedly earned from a national foodie website. Dropping in for lunch a few weeks back to see what all the fuss was about, I was blown away by the flavorful and fresh Quesabirria, which necessitated a second visit to try the delicious Shredded Chicken and Steak Gorditas, which paired nicely with a fabulous, oversized, margarita. Everything about Fonda Lupita is perfect, from the friendly and helpful counter service to the crisp and tasty chips & salsa. Just soak in the low-key, self-serve atmosphere and prepare yourself for one of the best Mexican meals you're ever likely to have. Yes -- all in the quiet Raleigh suburb of Sanford, North Carolina."
"Great little lunch spot with a few outdoor umbrella tables. The food was great and the portions were large and in charge. The asada was excellent and I would definitely order it again. Fast, friendly service as well. Rock on!"
"We came for early Fathers birthday lunch. Got the camarones Al mojo de ajo. It was grilled shrimp and mushrooms with rice and guacamole salad. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend the housemade hot sauce for an extra kick"
"I have visited Gallo Pelon that is located above Centro (it is a must visit) so I was excited to check out Centro on this most recent visit. We started off with cocktails, it was one of the drink specials for my husband and the aniversario followed by the picosita (with half of the heat) for me. The picosita was so good. For food we started with the chips & guacamole then it was the Enchiladas de la Familia for my husband and the Mole Poblano for me. I knew I had to save room for dessert because Tres Leches was on the menu. The food and service were both good."
"Wasn't sure what to make of the price of my burrito until I got it. Hoooollllyyyy, the thing is made for two! You get a lot of food for the price and it tastes great."
"I like this place because it's authentic, not American-ized food.I'm the only non-hispanic in the place. I ordered shrimp, chicken, and carnitas tacos. 3.99 for 4 small shrimp is a bit pricey for that taco, and the corn tortillas not doubled up. So eating with a fork as it tore immediately from the sauces.Shrimp was OK, chicken better, but the flavor was in the carnitas. They offer a salsa toppings bar but not self-service. Add lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and cilantro. Other toppings as cheese, sour cream, salsa, for a price. A lime piece for each one adds nice citrus touch. I'm glad it's local, so I don't have to drive to Raleigh for authentic Latin American/ Hispanic food.Saw other items on the menu I'd like to try."
"At La Taqueria, you'll find carne asada served up on a plate almost as big as a Mueller subpoena, not quite as juicy but still remarkably tasty. It's a huge serving of grilled beef with sides of fresh avocado slices, rice, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, a perfectly cooked poblano, and topped off with a pair of grilled green onions. And, several piping hot tortillas, corn or flour, wrapped in foil. The corn tortillas paired fabulously. The plantains were beautifully caramelized and served with crema and queso. Forget popcorn while watching #cnn, just sink your teeth into crema-queso-dipped plantain bites and watch the grand poohbah bluster his hubris-laden fairy tales shamelessly on the world stage. You'll be thankful to have something palatable to eat if the poohbah tells you that your own eyes and ears deceive you.Fast, quality service, and yes, the cashier we had was friendly as noted in another review or two.The high chairs were super clean, but the seating area not so much. A crumpled straw wrapper here, and a plate jumper there, draw a one star deduction from an otherwise excellent experience. Rock on, LT!!!"
"One of my go-to spots to meet my parents for dinner who live in Durham since I live in Greensboro! Favorite Mexican restaurant in Burlington and easy access right off Huffman Mill road plus plenty of parking being connected to the old mall. Service is always great and the food is too!! Their salsa isn't too thick, could probably use a little more chunky tomato's or onions but still tasty and pro tip - we always ask for pico de Gallo on the side to add and it's always super fresh! Plus have a hot salsa option that's definitely fire to your mouth! I always get one of their combos (I prefer their beef or cheese over their shredded chicken)or chicken fajitas and my mom loves their shrimp dishes or good ol' enchilada and taco combo. My dad loves their different big burritos! They treat you like family when you come, always willing to accommodate your order and are always on top of their stuff when it comes to keeping your chips & salsa and drinks filled!! Plus they have a great patio section out front offering outdoor seating (which allows me to bring my Yorkie so she can see her grandparents!)"
"Wow! We were so surprised. This is authentic Tex-Mex and is delicious. Beginning with the fast and friendly service, even though the restaurant was almost full. The chips were warm and crisp, and the salsa had just enough spiciness. I had enchiladas verdes and they were excellent. My hubby had combination #15 (a taco and a beef burrito) both were great (but I forgot to take a photo ) The portions were also excellent. We will happily come back. Fun Mexican music playing in the background (not a quiet place, but fun)"
"We were seated immediately. Drinks came out fast. Our food was delivered in a great time frame. The lamb chops were very flavorful. Mouth watering. Very tender. The server checked on us several times. The mango drink was so good. I'm definitely returning."
