The owner of this truck was very kind to my son who was overheated from skateboarding and came to buy tacos. The owner gave him a free drink which was extremely nice and my son enjoyed his tacos.

Checked out La Republica after hanging out at Mystic Distillery on Saturday. La Republica is a cool food truck with a diverse, but small menu of tacos, quesadillas, burritos, bowls, beans, and rice. The man at the window that helped me was so kind and helpful! He made sure that my bowl was taken care of with their avocado sauce added on the side. And wow! Everything was so good! The bowl was stuffed with lettuce topped with spicy chicken, shredded cheese, sour cream, onion, tomatoes. The bowl was full of flavor and so yummy! Literally this bowl did not need anything, just a box to take it home in! I enjoyed every bite and definitely will come back for more!

Not blow your socks off tacos, but definitely pretty decent. I tried the chipotle chicken and the veggie tacos. I wasn't a huge fan of the veggie one because the veggies were soggy and could use more flavor. The chipotle chicken was really good! Tender pieces of chicken. Got a side of chips+queso - again, not super memorable or anything but, I mean, chips and queso are always good. At least in my experience. The best part of the experience were the workers. Super friendly and they even brought out chicken for me and my friend's dogs along with our food.

Food Truck Time: La Republica at the Holly Springs Food Truck RodeoMy tacos were very good! I ordered the special for $7.99, it comes with two tacos with your choice of toppings, rice and beans. The chipotle chicken was my favorite, I also enjoyed the mixed vegetables. Overall, great experience.

Enjoyed this at Saturdays in Saxapahaw. Great, friendly service- even though they weren't able to turn their A/C on! Kids scarfed down the chicken burrito (high on flavor, low on heat- great for the kids). The Elote was literally bursting with flavor, biting into the corn made a delicious mess of sweet street corn on our faces.

It was really hard to rate this food truck because there was some really good food and really bad food but all of it was executed very very poorly. I ordered 2 tacos - 1 Chipotle chicken and the other beef with all the toppings and a side of chips and queso. Let's get the awful out of the way: the chips and "queso". Idk what it is with Mexican food trucks using football game nacho cheese but it's gross. It was topped with shredded cheese and chips were carelessly thrown in to get soggy. Ugh not good especially not for the price. The tacos tasted great but we're sloppily put together - my Chipotle chicken had beef in it. The tortillas were so soggy that they immediately fell apart when I picked one up so I had to eat everything with a fork which is pretty bad for what's supposed to be street food. All in all, some great flavors and some really crappy ones but the execution was bad for both. I also had coworkers that ordered the special but didn't get the rice and beans side and one person ordered a quesadilla missing cheese so be sure to check your order!

La Republica came to our office for lunch and this is the second time I have had their tacos. The tropical truck has all kinds of hot sauces and brewery stickers on their doors. The service was super friendly and the gentlemen explained the different types of tacos. They offer chicken, chicken chipotle, chorizo, steak and a chorizo combo. The special comes with two tacos and rice and beans served in a styrofoam container. The tacos were ready rather quickly and the chipotle was made with a nice crema. The cost for two tacos and rice and beans was $7.99 and they accept square. They said they are based out of Durham and do many lunch work events instead of food truck rodeos. He said to follow them on FB so I will see if I can find them or on Instagram. Buon provecho!

Ran across them at Hi-Wire in Durham and had the quesadilla (chipotle polo) and man, what a meal! Very filling and goodness, delicious! Offered their red or green salsa, asked what would go best and they said, "here, try both!"Anyway, highly recommended. I was going to try their tacos too but the quesadilla filled me up.

I was coming back from the airport, starving, and on my way to meet folks on Rigsbee. Wasn't in the mood for the usual and, thankfully, my wife remembered La Republica. I had seen the truck outside of Cocoa Cinnamon a few weeks in a row but hadn't had the chance to try it yet. When I called Orlando (yeah, I know, calling a food truck to place an order is super weird) for some nachos, he sounded a little surprised. But let me tell you, I was even more surprised when I picked up my food. Piled high with veggies, beans, cheese, and all the fixings. Delicious and more than reasonably priced. Without a doubt, the best vegetarian nachos I've had in Durham.
