I always passed by this place northbound on 401 heading to downtown Raleigh. Always wanted to try the food. Thought it might just be authentic because it looked similar to food trucks I grew up with in Los Angeles. Finally paid a visit. Let me tell you; the food is really authentic and delicious. Had the best authentic Mexican food in the streets of Santa Ana, El Monte, San Diego and the stuff they dish out from a small window out of this van is the same quality. Don't let looks deceive you. Great food does not always come from expensive restaurants. Greater food does come from a van on the side of the road! You can't go wrong with the following tacos: Chicharrones, Al Pastor (pork), or Lengua (tongue). This is not your "kindergarten" yellow, hard-shelled, folded taco with who knows what kind of ground meat. This is homestyle barrio taco, the way it should look like and taste. If you muster up courage to eat next to a van down by the rive...oops, side of the road in an auto shop parking lot, you are the few, the proud, the satisfied. And your wallet will also thank you for it.

Look... I am not a huge fan of the food truck (long wait, small portions, no place to sit & eat, the expensive prices, etc.) IGNORE ALL OF THESE THINGS!! We hit up La Huasteca food truck for the first time and we ordered the barbacoa & el pastor burritos to go. OMG! I heard angels singing. I honestly think it's THE BEST BURRITO I'VE EVER HAD, and I dream of burritos from when I lived in California. La Huasteca BRINGS THE FLAVOR! I cannot wait to go back. The green salsa they gave us was amazing but they burrito didn't have any room for improvement... it was perfectly phenomenal! I cannot recommend this place enough. It's legit & I look forward to working my way up & down the menu!!! ALL. OF. IT.

We had this taco truck come to our neighborhood last night, and it was the best steak burrito I have ever had! All of our neighbors raved about the freshness, the taste and the quality of the food. They served us with a smile and seem to enjoy providing us with such a great experience. My wife had a quesadilla which she also loved. I heard that everybody loved their tacos and sopes and gorditas as well. I highly recommend you search for this truck and go try their food, you won't be disappointed. We plan to invite them back again for sure!

I had seen this place on my way to work and always contemplated about getting lunch there. The neighborhood is a bit shabby and being parked next to a used tire lot did not help the ambiance. However, I decided finally to give it a try.Parking is a bit tricky. Suggest you park across the street. Ordered the chicken burrito. It was a bit expensive compared to other Mexican food trucks. But, the food was really good and plenty. Also, they give you additional rice and beans on the side. Good customer service and prepared the food quick.
