This is a cool bar that seems to be made out of the front of ... uh ... something else. The bartenders are very keen to operate the chalkboard!

With Sam's bottle shop closing, this is a great alternative option to get German beer. I also especially enjoy when they hosted trivia, they've recently put it on pause, but it sounds like they may be trying to get it started again. Lastly, I really appreciate all the bartenders, it seems like they genuinely would like to get to know me and remember my name. Prost!

Finally! We have a cute, laidback bottle shop nearby and not in downtown Durham! I had the best Belgium Beer Rodenbach Grand cru! I will have to say it is now my favorite beer of all time. They have mead, kava, beer, and cider. I will be visiting frequently!

We had read about this German co-owned taproom and bottle shop and popped in on a Friday evening. They are kind of out there in Orange County just over the Durham County line (but with a Durham address). They have an interesting selection of beers, wines and canned cocktails, plus pretzels from Guglhupf and nonalcoholic drinks. Keeping with the German theme, there is a huge stein and a cuckoo clock behind the bar. It was pretty quiet when we arrived but a few parties came and went. We just had a few beers and looked at their retail offerings (beer, wine, snacks, etc.). This was an interesting place but perhaps a little too far for us to visit regularly.

Awesome place to get a few beers with friends. Indoor and outdoor seating. Certainly worth checking out. Beers to go as well.

A cool little palace that has everything you need in a taproom/Bottle Shop. Great selection, proper glassware, and friendly atmosphere. They have a lot of activities and live music for a smaller, independent venue. I will definitely be back to visit since it is on my way home from my new job!

Awesome beers, awesome atmosphere. Small bottle shop vibes with great bartenders! A couple board games and live music on special nights.

Family friendly, great selection of beers, good indoor and outdoor seating, cool ambiance and very friendly people! Definitely worth checking out.

Local bar in the Duke forest area. Always enjoy the German beers on tap. Look forward to each time coming here. Guglhupf pretzels are always a must. Can't wait to go again! Get service and friendly staff
