Dan Sushi & Hibachi

There's a reason why they say don't judge a book by it's cover and Dan Sushi and Hibachi proves that you can't judge a book by it's cover. The outside is nothing special and neither is the inside but it all came down to the food, I'm speechless. My brother suggested this was amazing. One of my brothers got the hibachi double chicken 8/10. I got the Philadelphia and spicy tuna 9.5/10. My other brother got a veggie hibachi 9/10. Also the employees were so nice. I'll be back!

From the outside we didn't expect much but pleasantly suprised by this place. Definitely more of a takeout spot but we dined in. Good prices, generous portions, and the sushi was decent. The special rolls were a little too saucy for our liking. I think we'd go back more for the hibachi/chicken plates. Service was quick and friendly.

Amazing sushi, they are my gold standard and all other sushi restaurants are put to the Dan's test, "is this better than Dan's?' Most every other place doesn't compare. Fantastic service too!

Updating my review simply because I want to share this huge plate of general tso chicken I got from todays visit. No veggies--just a massive plate of their spiciest general tso chicken. It was very good. And the sushi was great tonight as well.

I went back and forth between one and two stars a lot. I decided to give the benefit of the doubt, however, their chicken is always super fatty and ends up grossing me out. It seems like they use most the parts of the chicken you don't want to eat. It's been this way every time I've gotten food from there, which has been about 5x.

1/22/23-I'm in such disbelief. As much as this spot has been a favorite go to I am really disappointed in the presentation and the overall quality of the food we received. More so my sushi because I've had their sushi before and never had it looked this nasty! Sunday was a lazy day and we decided to have hibachi for dinner. I wasn't really starving so I settled for two sushi rolls, jumping and spider. What a pure disaster! I wasn't able to order online as they do not have the kids menu set up so I did a call in and pick up. My husband was picked up our order and of course didn't check the bag before he left (smh) and he stated the food was ready upon arrival and felt the gentleman was rushing him although they weren't busy. Well once he arrived I checked the food and low and behold the sushi was the first thing I noticed and before I could snap pics I had already decided it was going back to the restaurant! I had never seen sushi look so old, definitely wasn't fresh and just a pure nasty mess. SN: they didn't include wasabi nor pickled ginger!! Let me state we live about 20 minutes away and I didn't feel like leaving home that day but I was determined to get a refund and let them see what they're serving customers. Not sure if this was an off day for them or if they didn't care but no one should have allowed that food to leave the restaurant. Once I arrived I had about two servers greet me and ask was anything wrong. They literally have about 6-7 people standing behind the counter so I explained to the server the sushi looked very old and I was not about to eat it and would like a refund. She looked at it and stated it could be the sauce, which I told her even if it was the sauce, which they drowned it (I believe to cover up how old it looked) that still didn't explain the brown avocado and old looking shrimp/crab. She explained to the older woman and she asked would I like new rolls and I declined and requested the refund. She obliged and placed the money back on my card. As stated we have dined here before and I have never seen anything like this even with carry out. I will not say we won't be back but if we do I will only be ordering sushi if we dine in. Food was so tasty! The best hibachi chicken I have had in a while! Everyone was so nice and helpful with my choices!

Dans hibachi. Where to even start. Unbelievably good food combined with unbelievably good service. I downloaded and signed up for the yelp app just to leave this review! Charging for an extra sauce is unheard of. Employees are always so friendly when I come in. Best hibachi place probably in the triangle. Hidden gem.

They were awesome. The food was great, perhaps cut a bit to small. The flavor was good, the portions were nice. The service was phenomenal.

Good pricing and fairly consistent with their sushi. Great customer service every visit. Would recommend if you're trying to order a lot of sushi for a decent price!!
