Seriously, this is enough Chicken Lo Mein for half of Durham County.
Chicken Lo Mein for days, y'all.
Chicken Lo Mein WILL NOT BE CONTAINED
Mongolian Beef - smoky and meaty. Plenty of beef, plenty of sauce, and more flavorful than it is at some places.

Do not overlook this place! Not only is the food good, but they are able to manipulate physical space in ways I simply do not comprehend. The large Chicken Lo Mein is enough to fill a good-sized Tupperware container and a medium bowl and STILL be half-full (see photos). The rice is the same way. It's like an order of fries at Five Guys... like every little takeout container is a TARDIS or something. They're takeout Time Lords, y'all. Amazing.I'm giving them 4 stars for now because I need to try more dishes, and they don't currently offer a couple of my favorite items (crispy beef, spicy wontons). But I can't get enough of their Fried Wontons and the service is always friendly (even with special requests), so I'll definitely be back.Oh, no pics of the aforementioned wontons because I ate them all immediately. I'm only human. Deal with it.

The 3.5 star Yelp rating for this restaurant is hilarious because it's the best takeout Chinese place in Durham. If you read through the bad reviews they're either nit picky people who throw around bad reviews without much real thought as to what's deserving of a bad review or they're just not even real reviews of the food / experience.I frequent this place when I can, and I'll explain that more in a moment. I call in my order and they usually have it ready very quickly. I usually get appetizers that include egg drop soup, which is great, teriyaki chicken skewers, which are awesome, and the shrimp egg roles, which are some of the best I've ever had and I usually have to resist ordering a million of them. As far as an entree goes, I usually get lo mein of some kind or pepper steak, among other items. The food is always fresh, cooked really well, and just so freaking delicious. It's not the hot, greasy garbage most places serve up as takeout. I ask for some modifications, such as adding broccoli or getting my entrees extra spicy, and they always oblige. I never have to guess if they've made the modifications, as you can see in the photo of my extra spicy pepper steak with added broccoli. The cost is still super, super reasonable even with rising prices everywhere. I'd highly recommend trying this place out.The only knock I have on this restaurant is that they're super wonky with their hours. I believe they have defined hours on their menu, but I feel like they're always randomly closed. I'm not sure why that is. I believe it started during the pandemic, which makes sense. It has somewhat of a chick-fil-a effect of making me want it more lol. There's no voicemail, so if they aren't there the phone just rings perpetually. But, even with that it's still somewhere I would definitely recommend getting takeout at!

This place does not miss, consistently good Chinese takeout. I wouldn't trust recommendations from anyone that hates on this place.

I arrive at 2:58pm for their lunch special that ends at 3, the store isn't busy, a I'm the only one there. I don't get served until 3:01. When I tell them my order, I am reminded that lunch ends at 3:00. I said I was here at 2:58pm, she rolls her eyes at me and proceeds to take my order, rudely. While giving my order, I stopped, realized what happened and said, "you know what, nevermind."Just unprofessional behavior. You act like I caught you 2 minutes before closings when all it is is just a change of portion size and maybe a different container.I'll take my business somewhere else.

It was very clean in there and their A sanitation rating (96.0) reflects that. Home style tofu and veggies had very little flavor and sauce was pretty goopy. Veggie fried rice was decent. Vegetable spring rolls were just two small rolls filled with vegetable mush, no real integrity to the cabbage or carrots inside. There were no sauces (ducksauce, soy sauce etc.), napkins or utensils included in the bag and overall the experience wasn't much to write home about. More than half of my entree went to waste as I mostly ate the rice. I would not order there again.

I don't care what no one says the BEST Chinese food in Durham period not top China's in the village in the east, not dragon balls or whateva by Southpoint in the south-side; just take a lil trip to the north side of durham if you want only the best. The service is too notch you can see the chefs prepare your food and most importantly the same staff is always here with a respectful demeanor.

I have been going here for years since moving from Brooklyn NY and this is the only restaurant by far who's food tastes similar to back home. Very well cooked and delicious. The chicken lo-mein is packed with chicken and is fantastic. The owners are very polite and give you your food with a smile always. Side note if you need condiments ,make sure to ask for soy or duck sauce before leaving.
