"Not a lot of atmosphere, nothing special about the decor. No wait on a Friday evening. We both had the soup and salad bar. One soup choice barely any clams in chowder and their famous meatballs (not hot, barely warm) in a super sweet sauce. The salad bar looked messy and could have used a good wipe down--lots of users. About half wearing the gloves provided. No fresh fruit--all canned or dried. Lettuce was iceberg only and wide assortment of toppings: vegetables, olives, cheese, bacon, pasta salads, seeds, nuts, croutons, spinach, pickles, peppers, and salad dressings. Port cheese spread with crackers and toasted stale tasting bread. Our waiter was attentive. Price was right for salad bar only. Large safe parking lot."
"Good friendly service, food is good but not great, if your in Nashville this is one of the better sit down lunch dining. Place is really clean. With healthy options this is not a greasy bbq place."

"This was our first visit. Our server was David and he was friendly and attentive just the right amount. The duck taquitos were great (the white sauce was a bit spicier than what I enjoy, but the cheese sauce was great and not spicy.) I tried the shrimp and grits for my meal. The meal was tasty but a little spicier than I anticipated and the grits were ever so slightly undercooked (still very edible and tasted good). I really enjoyed the Honeycrisp Bees' Knees (gin) cocktail. I think their hostess table may need a little work, and that the eclectic art for sale on the walls was interesting. I appreciated that the sound levels were pretty good in the restaurant."
"A very nice restaurant though a surprisingly formal setting (piano player), which you are not expecting in Pittsboro. I started with truffled burrata and it was an excellent dish, the cheese worked well with the poached pear. I had ostrich as a main, less for the novelty, more because game is usually lower fat (thus less unhealthy) than beef. At first, I was like nothing special, but the flavor really grew on me (it looked and tasted like steak). Had Brussels sprouts as a side and they were good. It wasn't the most memorable or my best meal ever, but everything was good + and I would happily return."
"It was our 37th anniversary and we were headed to our granddaughter's soccer game and decided to stop in on our way to the game. I'm going to be totally honest with you...if we hadn't read such good reviews prior to going I don't know that we would have went just based on the outside appearance of where this place is located. Its located in a run down looking strip where a gas station is located. But this will prove that REVIEWS DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. We went in and much to our surprise we were greeted with one of the friendliest greetings by the staff. It is a small place and we arrived around 5:45 after that this place is slammed with friendly customers so get there as early as you can. Our server was also friendly so we were already impressed with the customer service. We ordered a kids flounder dinner with fries and a dinner with 2 kinds of shrimp (bang bang and cajun shrimp), slaw and baked potato. They also give you hushpuppies while you wait, which are delish especially with the honey butter. Also, they sell the hushpuppy mix . The food was delicious! We were so surprised by this gem and we will definitely be back!"
"I dined here on 2/18/24 for a date. We arrived here around 7:50pm for an 8pm reservation. They have complimentary valet and it was very busy. By the time we got inside, it was 8pm exactly. After checking in, we were told it would be a couple minutes. There were about 3-4 people behind the host stand. There were MANY people waiting to be seated, which I assume they were walk ins. There is only one bench for waiting which IS NOT enough for the amount of people waiting. From what I saw and other reviews, I think this business should invest in a proper waiting area. In the summer, waiting outside would be nice. However on a cold and windy night (like the night I visited), that would be miserable. We were sat less than a minute later. (Note: After reading reviews with poor experiences regarding reservations, I was nervous. Thankfully everything went smoothly). The ambiance was composed of low lighting, light music, and a candle on the table. The waiter, Dylan, came over shortly after we sat. He provided waters for us. Dylan returned shortly after. He graciously went over the menu for us. As he did that, someone brought over complimentary bread. The bread was soft and warm! We ordered spinach and artichoke dip as a start around 8:12pm. The dip came at 8:27pm and it was very hot (in temperature). The chips that accompanied it were crispy and tasty. We enjoyed it. We ordered our dinner at 8:29pm. We both got prime ribeye cooked medium and shared a loaded whipped potatoes side. (Note: All the sides are shareable). I also ordered a Thyme Lemon Drop that came 15 mins after ordering. Our food was brought over at 8:58pm. The prime ribeye was one of the best steaks I've ever tasted, no joke. I love the crisp edges. It was very juicy, tender, and flavorful! My mouth is watering right now as I reminisce on it! We enjoyed the loaded potatoes but we got full. We barely ate 1/3 of it. I forced myself to finish the steak because it was so delicious and didn't want to take it home and reheat it improperly. We were asked if we wanted dessert but we were honestly STUFFED! I definitely want to return. When/if I do, I will plan to save room for dessert. 2 steaks, 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 1 side was over $200. Keep that in mind when dining. I can say that we had a pleasant dining experience with no complaints. If I had to complain, I would say it took a while to receive our drinks. However, it was busy, so it was understandable. After dinner, I did go to the restroom. It was clean but busy. No complaints there. I was glad valet has slowed down by the time we finished dinner. The wait for my car was fairly short. However... I watched valet hop the curb in my car... ; So I would be cautious if you chose to utilize that service."
"We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here in a private dining room at the top of the stairs. First dinner out with our own dining room in 25 years. Our waiter took good care of us without being too attentive. Steaks were perfectly cooked. We both had filets Oscar. Downstairs was much homier, including crafts for sale. We will be back for a casual meal and enjoy more of the variety offered on the affordable menu. Pizza anyone?"
"We came across this place by chance.. and wow were we lucky!! So delicious! Steak was cooked perfectly and the salad bar was just the right size. We will be back for sure!"
"I had done some research on this place a while back looking for a Christmas gift certificates and saw it was pretty good. Finally got to visit it! Very cool décor. Nice atmosphere with dining area and a big bar area. Noticed outside seating too for when the weather is niceOthers have noted the cheese and crackers. I thought given that they are a higher end steak house this was a bit strange however the cheese was good. We started with meatballs and stuffed mushrooms. Meatballs were awesome! Great red sauce and flavor in the meat. The mushrooms were ok. Seemed to lack a little flavor. We then moved on to the wedge salad. Great flavors. Just the right amount of dressing and lots of bacon! Then Deb and I split the Ribeye. It was cooked perfectly. Good flavors. Delicious. The side of onion rings were great too. Nice and crispy. The service was great. Food was brought out in good time. Overall a good experience"
"Not sure why this place has less than 4 stars. It's not a high end bougie restaurant, but the menu is extensive and has something for everyone. I would call this upscale/craft bar food. We came on National Margarita Day so I opted for the premium margarita. Not the best I have ever had, but it was smooth and not cheap tasting. Very good. We got the zucchini fries to start. Amazing. Light and crispy with the best homemade ranch. I always ask my server what their favorite menu item is if I've never been. I opted for her recommendation which I had been eyeing anyways - the sweet spicy fried chicken sandwich. Had a major kick without too much sweet which I loved. Get yourself some ranch or blue cheese on the side to dip it in to cut the spice a bit. My friend got the cheeseburger flatbread. It was huge. Our server says the size differs based on who is in the kitchen just fyi. Loved our server Sarah. We also came in on a Tuesday which happened to be trivia night so even though we were terrible it was fun!"
"reat steaks , staff, location and drinks. Great place to take friends and large groups."
"The Seahorse Steakhouse is a busy place. I knew there was going to be a wait when I saw the parking lot so full. When you arrive get your name on the list at the counter and stand around with the other folks waiting for a table and stare at the case of cakes that look so very good. I was there during the prime rib special that is two days a week and seems to be a popular choice from what I could hear. The other patrons were friendly while we waited. I'm not sure how long it took to be seated but when my name was called I was put into a booth. At the other tables and booths I noticed the waitstaff knowing the names of the other patrons so that is always a good sign. My waitress was friendly and gave some recommendations. I ordered a piece of cake to go first thing as I wanted to be sure I got a slice of the pig pickin' with the pineapple and mandarin oranges. Bread and hush puppies were brought out with my beverage. I was even offered more if I chose. I went with the filet mignon and shrimp as I couldn't decide between the two so went with an option on the menu to get both. I also got a baked potato and mac n cheese. The potato was huge. Both the filet and the shrimp were great as was the baked potato. I wasn't a fan of the mac n cheese as much so when I got full I was ok not finishing or taking that with me.I will be back the next time I am in Greenville, NC."

We lived in Kinston many years ago and ate at the Baron & Beef often. The food and service was always excellent. Tonight was not what I expected. The service was still excellent but the steaks reminded me of the steak you would get from a chain restaurant. Very disappointed.

Chef's Palette is under new management. They have made some changes to the atmosphere- and it looks great!! The waiting area has changed so that there is a place to sit if you have to wait for your table. The managers and servers are phenomenal. The food continues to be amazing! We ordered the flounder and trout. The portion size was great and everything was delicious! Can't wait to visit again and try more items from the menu.

So my lower rating for this restaurant is based on the price to quality ratio of the food. The restaurant as a whole is very nice. The staff was pleasant and we enjoyed the experience. The challenge for me is that the price of the food was some of the highest in the area competing with very fine dining establishments. Based on where Sycamore positions themselves among other restaurants, I would give them a 3 star rating. On a positive note, the restaurant is in an old building / mill that has very high ceilings that are constructed of wood beams. Very pretty and nice ambiance. I would definitely give it another try.

Excellent customer service and good food. I liked Salty Shores because it is a small family owned business. They have eat in or take out. Their fried food is very good. Occasionally I will eat fried food but I generally order baked or broiled. Salty Shores has a variety of options. When I want a seafood meal Salty Shores is my go to spot.

Complimentary Parking - well that was the start of things. We made reservations and were seated promptly by the hostess. She was very kind and helpful. The overall feel of the restaurant was pleasant, clean, extremely cold, and dimly lit. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the business and the menu. She gave good suggestions as this was over first time eating here. We decided to order from the anniversary menu - which was a 4 course meal for $44. Overall, we believe for what we received it was a good deal. The cons: the steak was over cooked. The pork chop bites were overcooked. The salads were drowned in dressing. Would we return? Maybe.

Excellent food, a bit pricey and busy. But it is worth going and enjoying if you have time. It had nice ambiance with a mash of different themes and made the place feel very welcoming. Food is excellent and has a unique steak rub.

Service was excellent and steaks were cooked perfectly. I had the 10oz Aged Ribeye cooked 'Pittsburg' style (in cast iron skillet) medium rare and it was great ! Steak was a bit thin for my liking as I prefer a thicker cut of meat, but "temperature and flavor" were spot on. Would be nice if you could get sweet potato in addition to baked potato and the option of a "grilled sweet onion" would be tremendous. Highly recommend trying this place. Price is on par with some other higher end steak houses but for a custom cooked steak prepared right in front of you, it's not to bad ($ wise). Very good selection of "the brown juice" if whiskey drinks are your passion.

"I like Firebirds; however, it is way too expensive for lunch. I met my mom here for a few beers and food. It was a cup of soup for her and the wood grilled salmon with veggies and southwest au gratin potatoes for me. All of the food was good but I really liked the potatoes."
"This place was pretty good. I got the scallop hibachi. The scallops were tender although appeared to have been cut in half and were very thin. Would have preferred them whole. I didn't love all the sauce they used to cook with scallops and veggies in before serving. It was sweet and too much in my opinion. With that said, it was a lot of food, the staff was very friendly and the take out process was seamless. I would go back for sure and maybe ask them to go easy on whatever sauce/marinade they use to cook with."
"The atmosphere is warm but not extravagant. The service was excellent but a little fast, if you want to ease that speed receive your appetizers before ordering your main course. The meal was very good, shrimp cocktail and spinach artichoke dip to begin and the filet was excellent. Nice to see a salad bar again and the homemade desserts were terrific."
"I finally found the best Mexican restaurant in Clayton and most likely within the surrounding area. You definitely get a warm and welcoming feeling upon walking in the door. This family-owned restaurant doesn't miss a beat in getting you seated, situated and ready for a drink. As most Mexican restaurants, the menu has a lot to offer and so does the full bar. They make a very good Margarita and plenty of chips and salsa to go with it. I was glad I tried the cheese dip with the chips, it was a pleasant switch from the customary salsa. The enchiladas verdes is a very tasty entree and clearly made with quality beef and chicken, which is yet another thing that sets this place apart. I now have two Mexican restaurants close by that I feel confident enough to dine at on a regular basis.Cheers!"
"Solid 4. Pleasant. Salsa was decent. Food was decent. Good for groups. We enjoyed ourselves. We'd forgotten about this place end thrilled we found it again. Lunch specials are the bomb! We love Fiesta Mexicana!!! Over all I spent $10. Dinner is probably more. Over all decent experience. I got the nachos supremes and Almuerzo #2. My friend got Almuerzo #5. We were pleased. If you want a secret- come in & ask for Bernie! Top notch!"
"This steakhouse is wellknown to the locals in upper NC and lower VA. It is always packed and once you taste the food you will see why. Various other reviews state how they take the time and care to make your steak the right way and this is extremely accurate. Althouhonly certain sizes of steak are priced on the menu they will cut your steak to whatever size you like and expertly prepare it for you. I had a 16 oz prime rib and it was delicious when it hit the table and the leftovers were delicious the next day. If you are in this part of NC and you are a fan of steak, do yourself a favor and stop by. PS. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and well versed in the restaurant's offerings.l"
"An excellent meal in up-and-coming downtown Franklinton. It's an old building, carefully restored to a new purpose. Lots of exposed brick and old timber. The main room is rectangular, with the bar in the center. There are a few tables outside on a covered patio as well. Upstairs is their pizzeria (Pizzeria Franko); downstairs the steakhouse. It's an upscale and cool style. Sound level muted for easy conversation. Beware the table closest to the kitchen though - the harsh light and server traffic take away from the atmosphere. Our server, Martina, was charming and friendly. She orchestrated the meal perfectly - courses came out in order and nicely paced. Thank you! The menu is diverse, from pasta to steaks. Not a 10-pager, but something for everyone. We started with focaccia, meatballs and caesar salad as an appetizer. Focaccia is delicious, crispy crust, moist and firm inside. The whipped ricotta/olive oil is a great spread. Meatballs are golf ball sized, impeccably spiced and served in sweet san marzano sauce with a dollop of ricotta. In a more casual environment, these would make a GREAT meatball hero! Salad is whole leaf romaine, well doused in classic caesar dressing, topped with shaved parmesan and focaccia croutons. Good! On to entrees. When you come to a place called a steakhouse - ya gotta order... STEAK! Filet mignon is offered in 6 and 10 oz. Opted for the 6. It is an outstanding medallion of beef - fork tender and juicy, with a subtle set of spices that highlight the taste of the meat without overpowering. One nit is that the temperature of the filet wasn't exact. Mine was medium rather than medium rare, so a little bit more cooked that I would have preferred. Others at the table had a similar experience - temps weren't right. Still - the beef was excellent. Also tried chicken parmigiana. A half breast is pounded thin, breaded and fried, then broiled to melt a thick slice of fresh mozzarella on top. No out-of-the-freezer pre-cooked chicken here - this was perfect. Crust nice and crunchy and well seasoned, inside juicy and tender, with a scoop of sweet and hearty house marinara. A minor miss here is that this entree was ordered with penne instead of spaghetti. But spaghetti is what was served. The spaghetti was perfect - just al dente and pan seared with the sauce to absorb the flavor. But it wasn't penne. :-(Couldn't decide on dessert so ordered all 3 that were offered. The winner is tiramisu. A 4" square of rum soaked heaven, with layers of mascarpone, lady fingers and a dusting of cinnamon. A really REALLY good rendition of this classic. Next up is 7 layer chocolate cake. Each layer is separated by a thin slathering of light and fluffy chocolate mouse. The cake is super fresh, moist and decadent. Least favorite were cannoli. These are freshly filled in-house, but the filling here is chocolate ricotta. I'm a traditionalist - my cannoli need to be unadulterated ricotta. That said, the shells were fresh, the filling creamy and lightly sweetened and dipped in chocolate chips at each end. Delicious, just not my favorite. Cost was $266 for 4, including wine. Very reasonable for a meal of this quality in a spot this cool. This place spot definitely makes it into the regular rotation. Go!"
"Clean with a near perfect health grade. Outside may be deceiving. A very nice vibe inside. Open grill area for steak preparation and decorated nicely. Steaks were good, hamburger was good, baked potato was good and service was ideal. We would visit again."
"Firebirds is a excellent choice for a meal. I visited for a late brunch and enjoyed the variety their menu brings. They have creative cocktails and so many dishes to choose from. The service was excellent from staff. When we arrived we were offered the opportunity to choose from the brunch or dinner menu. I adored the neat, creative & clean presentation of our food and cocktails. I ordered the Seasonal craft cocktail Fuego Mojitarita with a jalapeño garnish. It was very flavorful and garnished well. For my meal I had the fried green tomatoes and crab cakes and eggs from the brunch menu. I did not enjoy the fried green tomatoes unfortunately. The crab cakes were huge and the dish was so flavorful. The Potatoes were nice and crispy. Overall a good choice for brunch."
"Stopped by Harvey Johns for brunch and it was amazing! The meats (shouts out to the butcher and the shop next door) and the flavors are delicious. The pancakes and the steak and eggs are not to be missed. Service is great and the kitchen is churning out delicious orders left and right. The brunch cocktails are tasty as well.HJ is a quaint, quality dining experience that I personally loved! Will return soon."
"Decent pizza! I wasn't blown away and I didn't leave terribly disappointed as well. Let's be honest, it's hard to jack up pizza as all of it ingredients are amazing! We check this place out and they definitely delivered a great solid pizza. Again, not my top number one ranked pizza, but it was definitely a good pizza when there was nothing else around."
"Is it a steak and sub joint? An american grill? An italian restaurant? Chinese take-out?? All of the above!!I was a bit confused to say the least when I walked into this place. A client group I was taking out to lunch said they wanted to come here and when we drove into the parking lot, I thought, "Wait, is this place still open?" It looked like it was rundown and perhaps abandoned so I was a bit skeptical. It looks like an old Hardee's or other fast food joint ravamped by the Aggie's staff and resembles a Chinese take-out restaurant but when you look at the menu, you see that they offer hot subs, italian specials such as spaghetti and lasagna, burgers, fried okra, egg rolls, and almost anything else you would want at a fast food grill. By suggestion, I ordered the "to die for" cheesesteak which they call a steak sub. It was yummy, really yummy! Not 'to die for" but definitely shocking for a little joint in Goldsboro that I didn't know existed.I will definitely be back next time I am on Gboro and feel the need for some greasy grill food since the fries looked scrumptious! Another reason why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover!"
"Delicious! This steak house is phenomenal! I went for my birthday celebration. I'm so happy my companion picked the place. So so good! The bread and butter was a great start. The butter was a standout. My dining companion wanted to take some home. Unfortunately. I didn't like any of the wine I tasted. So I ordered an apple cider martini. It was one of the drinks on special. It was very good. So glad I chose that drink. I ordered a wedge salad. It was also delicious. I ordered a ribeye and had two sides. Baked potato and wedge salad were my sides. I couldn't have been happier. I will be recommending this place to everybody."
"Fuji remains reliable. If you have been a regular over the years, you will find your favorite menu items have not changed a bit! Love everything on their menu except for the miso. Skip that. It is a watery, bland version of a dish that should have much more depth and richness of flavor. Best ginger sauce around! Buy a pint of that and their pink sauce to take home!"
"Absolutely 5 star, incredible little spot with perfect French Onion Soup, Wedge Salad and Dry Aged Ribeye worth telling people about. Fabulous! Not a single complaint. Wirth making reservations for a special night."
"First time eating at Johnny Bull's, very average meal. The salad options were pretty good. I ordered grilled chicken and thought that I understood it would be added to my salad. Complete misunderstanding. My salad came out quickly and my grilled chicken arrived 15 minutes later. So, if you are wanting to add protein to your salad, it's not arriving together. Kind of odd. The grilled chicken was very good, but I had finished my salad by the time it arrived! Please note - everyone I have talked to said never order steak at Johnny Bull's, it's just not good. Very average meal, nothing great. Place was very busy by noon on a Monday."
"I was at the bar on a Monday evening. I enjoyed the Sparking Sake and pan-fried dumplings. My bartender that evening was Robert who was amazing. I enjoyed my experience here."
"Ordered to go tonight and we loved all of our food! Fajitas tejanas packed so well and had everything included. ACP was delicious! Included chips and salsa to go. Attention to detail with the packaging to go. Restaurant was very busy on a Thursday night. Plenty of parking in this strip mall, though. Much better experience than before!"
"I took my wife and daughter for Mother's Day, we were looking for an event restaurant at the same time as avoiding UNC, Duke and NC State graduation. A friend recommended Rey's and we were quite happy. Coincidentally we were in New Orleans a few weeks ago, we didn't book Rey's because of its New Orleans style, but we definitely felt it when we were there. I was impressed with the breadth of the menu, very challenging deciding what to order with many great options both as starters, salads and main courses. I ended up starting with the carpaccio, which had a lot of flavor outside the beef, as you sometimes just get nice meat but this was a more complete dish. I particularly liked the accompanying greens, they had quite a nice dressing. I ordered a ribeye medium rare as my main, it was also cooked perfectly and a nice steak. I added soft onions and although they were not world changing. I also found the sides simply okay. The better was the creamed spinach, which was nice but not the creamiest I have had. I did not particularly enjoy the asparagus, thin asparagus, nothing special. For dessert, we shared bananas foster, largely for the presentation and it lived up to it. Our waiter did a great job, the bananas tasted good, and they were nice enough to split it into three servings, each with sufficient ice cream.Service was very professional. Overall ambience was among the most formal I have experienced in the Triangle (very similar to Ruth Chris, not coincidentally also with NO roots), you didn't need a jacket but you would not be out of place without it. Overall, an excellent event restaurant."
"First time at this restaurant. Service was ok. We decided on the NY Stripe meal for 2 $35. Meat was tasty sides were good. Fresh rolls were tasty. They had several large party 12 or more in the room so the service was slow. After people left the dirty tables were left no one busted the tables. I will come again to try again."
"The best hibachi in the Triangle and surrounding area! This is the type of hibachi that I grew up on and the way it should always be. I haven't had quality hibachi at this level in a long time. I went with the hibachi steak, which came with fried rice, broccoli, carrots, and the yum yum / shrimp sauce. The portion was just right for the quality. The fried rice complimented the protein and veggies, flavors were just right. The shrimp sauce was on point -- that's how you make the sauce! Overall, customer service was top-notch! Shout out to my waiter/waitresses for being at the top of their game! The parking lot was a bit hard to get in during the dinner rush but it's worth finding a parking space."
"Have been enjoying this local gem for over the past three years. The food is quality, and they have many different things to offer from steaks to chicken quesadilla, and even tasty Philly cheesesteaks. I can't say I've tried everything yet, as I am a creature of habit, but their chicken quesadilla has wonderful grilled chicken, and the Philly cheesesteak makes me wanting to attempt to make it myself. The service is on point, and the staff are friendly and very hospitable. The ambiance is a relaxed steakhouse. It's a mix of booths, tables, and also a large room in the back for family gatherings and parties. So bring your prom date, bring your family, or have a birthday here. It's an excellent local place that people come for miles to eat at."
"Food was delicious. Staff was warm and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Maybe not the best name but don't let that deter you."
