"This was my first time in North Carolina and I stopped by Smithfield's on a whim because I was so hungry.Never heard of this place but I saw BBQ & Chicken on the sign so I walked right in.Excuse my inexperience with this brand or being on the East coast but I loved that there was a hand washing sink right when you walked in. Can I get an Amen from another germaphobe??I asked the young man at the register what I should order and he recommended the BBQ sandwich w/ coleslaw. It was a sweet pulled pork and apple cider slaw but it was delicious. Didn't even use any of the BBQ sauce because it was so moist.Fries were ok- reminded me of McDonald's fries.I was still hungry so I came back for a couple of fried chicken thighs (which are my favorite part of the chicken). I rarely eat fried chicken so I especially savor it when I do and this was really good stuff. "This is my second time eating Raising Cane's and it didn't disappoint. Popular spot for UNC students as it's walking distance from campus. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. For some reason the chicken seemed less crispy than last time but it was still yummy nonetheless. The fries I could probably pass on but the Texas toast always is a 10/10. Feel kind of guilty I didn't choose to eat at a local mom and pop shop but the closest Cane's to me is Times Square and I don't go there unless I'm seeing a Broadway show."

"Pollo Campero is an absolute gem in Raleighwood. It slightly reminds me of Pollo Tropical in FL because it's the only place I've ever known to be able to get maduros (sweet plantains) in the drive thru. Both the fried chicken and grilled chicken are juicy and cooked to perfection, but the grilled is my favorite because it has a limey taste. Their empanadas are also great because they aren't too heavy. They remind me of a light version of a cream cheese wonton, but with chicken, corn, and cheese and a lighter shell. I also love the campero rice and beans. The 20 piece value meal is also something you can't beat. After tax it comes to $50ish bucks but you get 20 pieces of chicken (I would recommend asking for half fried and half grilled), 4 sides, and bread. My one star dock is for service because I used the drive thru and although they were fast, they forgot to include the bread rolls im my family value meal."

"This is a cheerful, unexpected restaurant in the strip mall in the same parking lot as Lowes. My friend and I split the ceviche mixto (mixed seafood ceviche) that came with sweet potato chips and chicarron mixto (fried seafood platter) that came with tostones and yuca. Everything tasted fresh and good. The waitress was helpful and friendly. There was a small sign on the table with Peruvian words and their definitions and facts about Peru. There were also beautiful pictures on the wall of Peru. I went to Peru a long time ago and this restaurant makes me want to go back!I"

"Since the opening of H-Mart, many Korean fried chicken (KFC) restaurants have opened and closed. I really hope that Chicken Bee will be successful. It has become my favorite KFC in the Triangle since I moved to Durham.I was so happy to see that they have a booth in the H-Mart food court. I ordered a 6-piece wing meal, which is one of the few meals you can get for under $10. The wings were just as delicious as I remembered! "China King is our go-to when we're craving Chinese Takeout. They have some great deals in their "Special Value Meals" list and some really good tofu options. Overall, it is definitely not healthy, but your typical greasy delicious and huge portion sizes! We've never had an issue with calling in our orders, although they always are less than enthused while on the phone. I personally love their veggie lo mein and always order that as a side, sometimes a small, other times a large when I really really want a lot of leftovers. Either way, we always get at least two meals out of one order. I would definitely suggest China King as a great takeout place for anyone in downtown Durham and north Durham."

The flavor of the wings is quite strong, even though they are small. I enjoyed the chargrilled taste of the wings, along with the sauce. However, I wish the wings were crispier. They tasted more like boiled chicken rather than grilled.The price point of FF Chicken may be off-putting for some, but the unique experience makes up for it. The customer service was also fantastic. "I stopped at the Smithfield's in Wilson North Carolina. It was during coronavirus. Normally when I'm going through North and South Carolina I stop at the little mom and pop barbecue places. I was a bit pressed for time today and Smithfield's was close to where I was refueling. I was very, very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, the friendliness, and the overall service. Plus the food was hot and tasty and for a pork barbecue sandwich, A huge order of french fries and a Coke it was about nine dollars. It seems like an extraordinarily good value to me. Plus they were taking all the prescribed precautions for coronavirus. This is definitely worth a stop if you're going up and down I 95 and want a hot and tasty barbecue meal."

"I have stopped in various locations but never left a review. Swung into the Nashville, NC location on the way back from the OBX this trip. They are know for the pulled pork BBQ and fried chicken. I always get the same thing, a pulled pork sandwich, fries, and an iced tea. I get the regular sized sandwich as the large is just too much. You order at the counter and then pick up when they call your number. The dining room is rather large and a cut above most fast food places. The fried chicken looked really good. I may try it next trip."

"While on 95 S I Googled (sorry Yelp) BBQ near me. I figure we are in NC so lets live a little! We also needed fuel I might add as we had many miles to go and thats how we found our way off 95 to Fayetteville. Nice little town. A bit sleepy or maybe it was the scorching heat. Seemed like nice folks live there. Was too chicken pardon the pun to try roadside BBQ or a diner so we opted for a fast food established Carolina chain that was clean, had plenty of seating, good reviews and was priced right. Nailed it at Smithfield. Not a HR as the pulled pork was just a shade off of the delicious scale IMO, didn't realize it came with cole slaw on it, and it doesnt come with BBQ sauce, still good though. Note Carolina BBQ is vinegar based and the meat is cooked with that in it so they dont give you more on top, if you want a rich spicy tomato based Q sauce this isn't the place. The fried chicken was excellent, really crispy and moist huge breast, the wing was a small non entity I should have asked for a thigh and paid an extra buck. I noticed they sell 10 thighs for $8. Thats an outstanding value that if I lived here would be a regular thing for me. French fries were very good hot n crispy and hush puppies were great too. I only ate two of them as I am on a diet...insert smiley emoji. Flat out this is quality fast food. When it comes to fried chicken I like most of the players but was weened on KFC and this is at least as good if not better. Lovely local girl was friendly enough to spend time with us just shooting the breeze as we asked her questions about the area such as what is there to do around here to which she replied nothin really just hanging out, 4 wheelin, muddin and hanging out. Could be worse I thought as an image of the Bronx tenements when we approached the George Washington bridge crossed my mind. All in all her charm and the good food made for a pleasant experience. Can't say I will ever be back here but if all the Smithfields are on this level I have no hesitation to stopping in again."

"First visit here on 10/9/20. We went through their busy but fast drive thru. My son wanted their hotdog kid's meal, but the cashier said they don't serve hotdogs. Why is it on the ordering board then? Anyway, luckily he's not picky. Lol. He got a chicken strip kid's meal instead which was not listed on the order board. They were adhering to social distancing inside as well as in the drive thru. After paying at the window, I had to pull up to an orange cone to have my order brought out to me. The guy was really fast. I appreciated that. Our food was fresh. I ordered 2 chicken wings and shrimp basket. I didn't know the shrimp were popcorn shrimp. I expected for that price for them to be medium sized at least. Our food was fresh and very tasty though. Next time I will just order chicken. The shrimp costs too much for the small amount they give. The restaurant is nestled in a busy parking lot next to a gas station and Sonic. People can't drive, so be very careful. And it's solid but not exceptional. Up front, 92 Chicken sits in the old space that used to house Vit Goal. It's a smallish, run-down plaza but I'm good with that since you can find some hidden gems in places like this. Inside, 92 Chicken is pretty bare-bones with some chicken themed decor and a basic dining room with 2 and 4-tops. For sure the family running the business is Korean but I believe it's part of a chain.I order up some KFC drums and fries and it's solid but feels like just basic fried chicken with some commercial sauces on top. I think this business probably does a solid take-out, delivery option but for dine-in you can certainly do better. If you live in the hood, certainly stop on by but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again..."

It is behind where the McDonald's was on Lake Boone.I didn't plan to stop on the second day opened but when driving home I decided to stop. I wasn't sure what the parking situation would be but it wasn't too bad. The outside seating and dumpsters do take up some of the parking spots. The staff is friendly and someone is near the registers to greet you. There are menus near the door too. I'm not sure I like this layout of the restaurant though as when you walk in you walk into the dining area here and nowhere to view the menu without disturbing those eating. Then after ordering to go you basically wait in the dining area too so you are right near those dining in.I ordered egg salad and the three chicken salads with fruit.
