"First visit here on 10/9/20. We went through their busy but fast drive thru. My son wanted their hotdog kid's meal, but the cashier said they don't serve hotdogs. Why is it on the ordering board then? Anyway, luckily he's not picky. Lol. He got a chicken strip kid's meal instead which was not listed on the order board. They were adhering to social distancing inside as well as in the drive thru. After paying at the window, I had to pull up to an orange cone to have my order brought out to me. The guy was really fast. I appreciated that. Our food was fresh. I ordered 2 chicken wings and shrimp basket. I didn't know the shrimp were popcorn shrimp. I expected for that price for them to be medium sized at least. Our food was fresh and very tasty though. Next time I will just order chicken. The shrimp costs too much for the small amount they give. The restaurant is nestled in a busy parking lot next to a gas station and Sonic. People can't drive, so be very careful. "This was my first time in North Carolina and I stopped by Smithfield's on a whim because I was so hungry.Never heard of this place but I saw BBQ & Chicken on the sign so I walked right in.Excuse my inexperience with this brand or being on the East coast but I loved that there was a hand washing sink right when you walked in. Can I get an Amen from another germaphobe??I asked the young man at the register what I should order and he recommended the BBQ sandwich w/ coleslaw. It was a sweet pulled pork and apple cider slaw but it was delicious. Didn't even use any of the BBQ sauce because it was so moist.Fries were ok- reminded me of McDonald's fries.I was still hungry so I came back for a couple of fried chicken thighs (which are my favorite part of the chicken). I rarely eat fried chicken so I especially savor it when I do and this was really good stuff. "Stopped in for my first Smithfield's experience. We passed by and my husband asked if I'd ever been and when I said no, he whipped a Uturn and pulled in. My first thought was "this is a local small town bojangles". First and foremost these may be the best fries I've ever had. They were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. I went with the dark meat platter and my husband got the chicken tender snack tray.You can go through the drive through or go in and order. You order at the counter for take out or sit down. The menu isn't lengthy but I see that as they stick to what they know they're good at."

"I wish I could give 92 Chicken more stars but it's sort of just adequate. I'm a fan of Korean fried chicken and wanted to see what 92 Chicken would be offering up. And it's solid but not exceptional. Up front, 92 Chicken sits in the old space that used to house Vit Goal. It's a smallish, run-down plaza but I'm good with that since you can find some hidden gems in places like this. Inside, 92 Chicken is pretty bare-bones with some chicken themed decor and a basic dining room with 2 and 4-tops. For sure the family running the business is Korean but I believe it's part of a chain.I order up some KFC drums and fries and it's solid but feels like just basic fried chicken with some commercial sauces on top. I think this business probably does a solid take-out, delivery option but for dine-in you can certainly do better. If you live in the hood, certainly stop on by but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again..."

"While on 95 S I Googled (sorry Yelp) BBQ near me. I figure we are in NC so lets live a little! We also needed fuel I might add as we had many miles to go and thats how we found our way off 95 to Fayetteville. Nice little town. A bit sleepy or maybe it was the scorching heat. Seemed like nice folks live there. Was too chicken pardon the pun to try roadside BBQ or a diner so we opted for a fast food established Carolina chain that was clean, had plenty of seating, good reviews and was priced right. Nailed it at Smithfield. Not a HR as the pulled pork was just a shade off of the delicious scale IMO, didn't realize it came with cole slaw on it, and it doesnt come with BBQ sauce, still good though. Note Carolina BBQ is vinegar based and the meat is cooked with that in it so they dont give you more on top, if you want a rich spicy tomato based Q sauce this isn't the place. The fried chicken was excellent, really crispy and moist huge breast, the wing was a small non entity I should have asked for a thigh and paid an extra buck. I noticed they sell 10 thighs for $8. Thats an outstanding value that if I lived here would be a regular thing for me. French fries were very good hot n crispy and hush puppies were great too. I only ate two of them as I am on a diet...insert smiley emoji. Flat out this is quality fast food. When it comes to fried chicken I like most of the players but was weened on KFC and this is at least as good if not better. Lovely local girl was friendly enough to spend time with us just shooting the breeze as we asked her questions about the area such as what is there to do around here to which she replied nothin really just hanging out, 4 wheelin, muddin and hanging out. Could be worse I thought as an image of the Bronx tenements when we approached the George Washington bridge crossed my mind. All in all her charm and the good food made for a pleasant experience. Can't say I will ever be back here but if all the Smithfields are on this level I have no hesitation to stopping in again."

It has become my favorite KFC in the Triangle since I moved to Durham.I was so happy to see that they have a booth in the H-Mart food court. I ordered a 6-piece wing meal, which is one of the few meals you can get for under $10. The wings were just as delicious as I remembered! "I stopped at the Smithfield's in Wilson North Carolina. It was during coronavirus. Normally when I'm going through North and South Carolina I stop at the little mom and pop barbecue places. I was a bit pressed for time today and Smithfield's was close to where I was refueling. I was very, very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, the friendliness, and the overall service. Plus the food was hot and tasty and for a pork barbecue sandwich, A huge order of french fries and a Coke it was about nine dollars. It seems like an extraordinarily good value to me. "We always get our fried chicken fix at Smithfields.Since there is not one near our house, any time we travel and there is one near us, we always stop in.Friendly counter service. Chatted with the guy at the register to find out he was from Charlotte NC and was headed back this fall to go to school. Also found out both he and I both fish at Lake Norman.Wife and I get the same thing each time. Her 2 pc dark with baked beans and I the 2 pc white with brunswick stew.We both love the fried chicken here. Crispy, flavorful non greasy skin with moist tender chicken inside. The eastern NC vinegar dip on the table compliments both the chicken and the stew.The sweet tea was spot on, being just sweet enough with out being so sweet as to put you in a diabetic coma.We tried the banana pudding for dessert and this is the only time Smithfields has ever failed us. This was not even close to true southern banana pudding. Just banana flavored pudding with no bananas and very, very mushy vanilla wafers. Won't ever order that again.But as far as the fried chicken goes, like I said we always stop to eat anytime we see a Smithfields in our travels."
