Katherine W. "Boba Brew is quick and simple. It can't compare to larger boba shops but their tea isn't bad either. I ordered a lychee fruit tea with boba and it was ready in a minute. It looked like the barista filled a plastic cup with some ice, green tea, boba, and a few pumps of lychee syrup. The boba is a bit stiff but tasted fine. $4.50 is a reasonable price for boba (at least where I'm originally from), but perhaps the quality isn't worth that much. Nevertheless, it's nice that there's a tea store inside Morgan Street Food Hall."

Daniel B. "Cha House was hit or miss.Pros:* Easy online ordering. Phone-friendly user interface.* Oolong Classic Milk Tea and Lychee Fruit Tea were good.* Pudding and lychee popping boba toppings were good.* Snacks / Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken and Bubble Waffle were decent.* Eco-friendly cups, lids, straws, and cup holders (compostable straws and cup holders).* Trash, compost, and recycle containers in-store.* Spacious cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.* Generally good service. Friendly and polite staff.Cons:* Strawberry Matcha Latte was not good.* Dirty Tiger Milk was not great.* Boba was not great. Too hard.* You must pay to park during certain hours, as far as I know.* Drinks aren't film-sealed, so there's a higher risk of leaks and spills.Regarding parking, we parked for free across the street on Daisy St. It was free because we visited on a Saturday. Street parking in the immediate area is enforced Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm.I think you can also park in the garage of the building that Cha House is located in, the Stanhope Student Apartments. There are entrances to the garage on both Friendly Dr (around the corner) and ME Valentine Dr (back side of building). I don't know if you have to pay to park in the garage.Cha House offers a decent variety of tea, milk tea, fruit tea, bubble tea, etc. and toppings plus ice cream, macarons, and Taiwanese snack food items like the aforementioned Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, Bubble Waffle, and larger "entree" sized dishes such as Pork Chops ($7.47 and up) and Tea Stew Pork Rice Plates ($8.99). Many drinks are available hot or cold in two sizes, medium and large. I believe the medium is 16 ounces and large is 24 ounces. They also offer cream/foam milk caps (e.g., cream cheese, coconut cream, strawberry cream), but they were all out of stock during our visit. Prices listed in this review were at the time of our visit. We got the Oolong Milk Tea with "classic" milk (whatever that means; I think it's powdered or instant milk), half sugar, little ice, and pudding. We got the Lychee Green Tea with half sugar, little ice, and lychee popping boba. In medium size, both of these drinks were $5.30 each. We enjoyed both of these drinks. The Oolong Milk Tea had a good balance of tea, milk, and sweet flavors. The pudding was delicious. The Lychee Green Tea was refreshing. Online, the topping option was simply listed as "lychee," so we were expecting actual pieces of lychee fruit. Instead, we got lychee popping boba. The popping boba was fine and it matched the drink well, but it wasn't what we expected. In general, I recommend the oolong and fruit tea here. The Strawberry Matcha Latte (medium, $7.10) looked pretty, but it didn't taste good. We ended up taking only a few sips and tossing it, unfortunately. The Dirty Tiger Milk (medium, $4.90) wasn't as bad - I was able to make it through most of it. I'm a fan of sweet, sugary, milk drinks, but the flavor wasn't all there on this one. And, as mentioned above, the boba was too hard. Cha House's Dirty Tiger Milk drink is their take on the popular Tiger Sugar brand's signature brown sugar boba drink. I had mine prepared with fresh milk. Other milk options included soy, almond, coconut, oat, and macadamia (they were out of macadamia milk when we visited). Also, the outside of my Dirty Tiger Milk drink was served sticky. They forgot/didn't wipe the outside of the cup after preparing the drink. The Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken (snack size, $6.79) and Bubble Waffle with caramel drizzle ($6.50) were par for the course. This was an online takeout order, so they were packed into boxes with no holes for ventilation. Therefore, both the chicken and waffle got wet (and in the waffle's case, a little soggy) due to the condensation. Quality was fine, though. I just wish the chicken nuggets were crispy. They also tasted under-seasoned compared to the Taiwanese popcorn chicken I've had from other bubble tea places. It's great how Cha House is local, independent, and environmentally-friendly unlike the big chain bubble tea brands. I will say for to-go orders, it's easier to transport drinks from a place like Kung Fu Tea because the drinks are film-sealed and served in waterproof bags. Here, you have to deal with snap-shut lids with straw holes and cupholders similar to a fast food restaurant. However, Cha House's approach is better for the environment so it's a commendable tradeoff. At the time of writing this review, there are two Cha House locations: this one in West Raleigh near NC State and one in Cary. According to their website, locations are coming to Miami, Washington DC, Greenville, Wake Forest, and Myrtle Beach. My wife has been to the Chapel Hill location on Franklin St, but it has since closed: https://www.yelp.com/biz/cha-house-chapel-hill. She said the boba there was the same as the boba here, too hard.In this area for bubble tea, we prefer Moge Tee: https://www.yelp.com/biz/moge-tee-raleigh-raleigh."

The mall opens at 10am on Saturday and we were some of the first to check it out before the crowds. My first impression of this place is that it was calm and clean. If I had the time, I could totally sit at one of their tables and watch people shop while sipping on my tea.The young lady at the register was pleasant and the menu was big and bright right above her head. We didn't have any questions but if we did there was a wall that explained how to order. My daughter got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea which is listed as one of their Best Sellers. I decided on the Matcha Milk Tea with Oat milk and red bean instead of boba. It was so good. Matcha contains a compound called L-theanine, which alters the effects of caffeine, promoting alertness and helping avoid the crash in energy levels that can follow caffeine consumption. Red bean is a tasty way to incorporate fiber in your milk tea. I also ordered pork dumplings, Taiyaki with red bean and Nutella for my daughter. My daughter loved everything. The taiyaki is similar to a pancake meets waffle texture filled with love. Definitely will be ordering again and stopping by in that neck of the woods."

Everything was clean here and the staff had a great system to contain a clean and organized area while making drink after drink. No question about it. However that doesn't mean it is the best I've had. If they changed just a few things then I think it would go from good to great. The pros here are that they bake their own bread! The bread is so important and if all the places I've tried in the Triangle their bread is the best. The overall flavors are delicious but definitely lacking components that would make it stand out. They offer pate however it is not in every sandwich option and is a $1 charge if you choose to add it on. Also there just wasn't that much of it. I didn't really notice it in my sandwich. The mayo could have been more rich and again there could have been more of it. Lastly there definitely wasn't enough garnish (cilantro or pickled veggies). I will try asking for more next time. Nice clean sitting area that has a bit nicer decor than your usual beverage shop. Helpful and positive staff. The Deets:On one of the extremely hot afternoons during this heat wave of July, I stopped by this new Sharetea location in Grace Park during my walk to get some cool refreshment and try it out. I am not much into bubble tea (?may have had it once?) but luckily they had other types of tea. But tea...mainly tea...tea and tea related beverages but I did see some fresh milk type beverages and iced coffee/matcha/creama offerings. With the teas, there are classic brewed teas, milk tea, fruit tea, all sorts of tea. The setup itself is very nice modern decor with a large sitting area containing both chairs and sofas with tables. You order at the counter and it makes me feel it was like a "fast food tea" type of stop which does the trick. The staff was very positive and energetic. I perused the menus on the monitors overhead and decided the lime mojito tea drink sounded great (their beverages are all non-alcoholic). The staff will ask you about the sweetness level, such as if you want it at normal sweetness etc. I went with normal but I may ask for less in the future. The lime mojito tea was pretty refreshing...the mint was just right and definitely not overwhelming. It is not a large cup (see pic) but the lime mojito tea comes at a price tag of a bit over 6 bucks before tax/tip/etc. so be aware it's not the cheapest beverage in town but pretty enjoyable. Most beverages on the menu appear to be between $4-$7 more or less. It's a bit more than what I'd usually want to put into a non-alcoholic beverage refresher but again, my lime mojito tea was pretty nice on a hot summer afternoon."

The only downside was there was only one employee working, I believe he was the owner. So the wait did get really long for folks since he had to do everything at once. Making the rolled ice cream definitely takes a hot minute so it isn't the fastest experience. I love how they put the stools in front of the rolled ice cream window so that kids can watch the fun. My son loved standing up there and seeing his ice cream get made. The owner was great at engaging with my son while he rolled the ice cream. The ice cream itself was creamy and tasty. Moge Tee - Raleigh

★★★★★ 4.5 (97) • $$

Daniel B. "Out of all the bubble tea chains we've tried in the Triangle (e.g., Cha House, Quickly), Moge Tee has been the best and most consistent in terms of quality to us. The tea we've had at the Moge Tee locations in both Raleigh and Durham have been good and satisfying. I recommend this place. Overall, it's one of the better bubble tea places we've been to in the Triangle so far (local businesses included).Unlike a lot of bubble tea chains, Moge Tee is from mainland China, not Taiwan (most of the big brands are from Taiwan). It started in 2012. This location opened in December 2019 in West Raleigh, across the street from NC State. It's on Hillsborough Street, the main drag for NC State (like what Franklin Street is to UNC). Moge Tee sits directly across from Winston and Caldwell Halls. We visited on a Saturday afternoon when street parking was free. Metered parking is enforced Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm. Several spots were available near Moge Tee. I parked in front of Caldwell Hall. This location has the typical small/compact bubble tea store layout. The interior is a little more narrow and cramped than average. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Their outdoor seating, on the brick and concrete sidewalk, is nice. It's partially covered. During our visit, the store was busy, but the line wasn't bad. They had plenty of staff to keep things moving at a brisk pace.My wife and I got a Super Fruit Green Tea (large, $5.75) and a Taro Tofu Pudding (medium, made with soy milk, $6.00). These two drinks were cold, refreshing, and hit the spot. Fruit tea is a healthier, lighter alternative to the more calorie-dense milk bubble teas yet is still tasty and satisfying. The Super Fruit Green Tea we had here had good, strong tea flavor. Fruits in the tea included lime, lemon, orange, watermelon, and passionfruit (pulp and seeds). The Taro Tofu Pudding drink had lots of real taro and silken tofu in it, easily sucked up through a wide boba straw. The ingredients tasted fresh and appetizing. An advantage to this drink is it's caffeine-free. I'd only had caffeinated beverages on this particular day until ordering this (I was looking for something caffeine-free). Also, we liked that there were multiple milk alternatives like almond milk and soy milk. In general, the quality of both drinks was consistent with the Moge Tee we've been to in Old West Durham.A detail I like about some of the lids here is, unlike the common plastic film covers and other types of lids, you can re-snap the straw holes shut. There are circular indentations on top of the lids where you can snap the straw hole covers while you drink. I've seen similar for sip lids, but for straw lids, I've not seen it as often.Moge Tee has all the standard, popular drinks like tea with cheese foam, Yakult drinks, "Milk Swirl" (e.g., Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea), and Uji matcha (considered the superior type of matcha green tea). Expect to spend about $5-7 each for a medium-sized drink (500 mL or 17 oz) and about $6-9 each for a large-sized drink (700 mL or 24 oz) before tax and tip. They also serve egg waffles. Most varieties (e.g., matcha and strawberry) are about $7 each. The menu listed the egg waffles as exclusive to Raleigh, but I'm not sure how true that is.Service was great. The staff was polite and processed orders fast and efficiently. At the time of writing this review, there are six Moge Tee locations in North Carolina including one in each Triangle city (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). There are two in Georgia (Atlanta and Duluth). None in South Carolina."

Bep is easy to locate with parking available in nearby lots or along the street. I stopped here on a weekend evening for dinner having ordered online for pick-up. Estimated pick-up time was 30 minutes. The menu is full of delicious sounding items making it difficult to decide. We ended up choosing the grilled tofu vermicelli bowl ($13.95), tofu roll ($6.95), and pho ga bowl ($13.95). We enjoyed each of the items including the accompanying sauces. Prices and portions are reasonable. Plus the items were packaged well. That being said I would have liked if the tofu rolls were not wrapped in Saran wrap. Seems wasteful and unnecessary since there are other ways to keep them from sticking. Only other suggestion I have is that they read the order notes. I included a note in two places on the online order (since I was not sure which space to put it) and neither was read or acknowledged. I asked when picking up the order and they hadn't even seen the note. It may not have printed with the order. Therefore, if there is anything important that you need the kitchen to know, I would recommend calling to place the order or dining in. When I arrived to pick up the order I was greeted by a friendly employee at the counter. My order was retrieved quickly and was accurate. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and recommend this restaurant to others!"
