"I went here for the first time today -- phenomenal variety of bagels, "shmere", and other tasty treats. I had the turtle mocha and it was phenomenal. Excellent service and unique combinations overall."
"Bottom line: Breakfast at NC Bagel & Deli was not bad but not over the top. Adequate Meat Lovers omelet but a good bagel accompanying it. The Deets:I stopped in for breakfast one day at NC Bagel Cafe & Deli, located in the Grace Park complex in Morrisville. When you walk in for breakfast, it is more like a bagel shop and short order kitchen/grill type of restaurant put together. Their hours on their website currently display at the time of this writing open each day 7am-1pm. I decided to take advantage of both sides by ordering one of their omelet selections that included a toasted bagel with it. I ordered the Meat Lovers omelet that menu online describes "Made with 3 eggs, Sausage, Ham & Bacon Served with Bagel Or Bread" so I chose a plain bagel which was toasted with butter. Service ordering at the counter was good, I had to repeat a couple of things but went OK and then waited for my order that was for dining in to come up so I could carry it back to one of their tables. My order was up in good time, no long wait. The omelet was OK, nothing extravagant but I have to note that the sausage, ham, and bacon meat bits were sprinkled on top of the omelet instead of inside or mixed within it (I say bits, as they were not large pieces of meat but did the job for giving the meat flavor for the omelet, see pic). It was a short order type omelet that did the job. I do like the plain bagel I had with it, and would probably have one again with a cream cheese schmear next time. This quick breakfast did the trick and if wanting a quick short order breakfast and don't feel like going to a fast food place to get it then come here and get your fast breakfast fix."
""Best bagels in North Carolina," says the sign. I won't disagree - my everything bagel with cream cheese was crunchy, chewy and delicious. It's a narrow shop with walls covered in photos of customers and plenty of seating on four-top tables. I placed my order with a lovely young lady who brought it my seat a few minutes later. A good portion and hot.Definitely a worthy breakfast and a great bagel. And proper bagels are rarely this good in the South, or really anywhere that isn't New York (or New Jersey)."
"Yum! Love their colorful rainbow bagels - spruce up your plain bagel with this instead (same bagel). I got the lox and cream cheese on mine and it was so good!"
"We were lucky enough to have this food truck in our neighborhood this weekend and I was lucky enough that the dog actually let me lead him that way on our morning walk. They had a nice selection of both savory and sweet bagels, plus choice of toppings, and a few sandwich suggestions. I went with the Steak Sandwich with choice of bagel and cheese (jalapeno cheddar bagel, pepper jack cheese) for Husband. An Everything Bagel with egg, sausage, cheddar and sriracha for me. To pay all I had to do was stick my card in their charger. No touching anything. A few minutes later I was handed a brown bag and began encouraging the dog to not sniff every blade of grass on the trek home. Despite the sniffing and sauntering and the cold winter temp, because the bagel sandwiches were wrapped in foil they were still soft and warm and fantastically delicious. So good that I decided to surprise my Sister with the same order. Raced back right before they closed, ordered the same two, plus a cinnamon chip and a chocolate chip, only to find out Sis was at her beach place. Woops! More bagels for us. And I'm happy to report that the sandwiches were just as delicious rewarmed in the microwave the next morning. As for the sweet ones, I recommend eating those right away. They would have toasted them for us if we had. I made the mistake of just reheating in the microwave and they were tough to chew (although great flavor). Probably would have been better if I had toasted them instead.Prices, very reasonable for the quality! Two sandwiches were just $13.20. Loved that their sanitation was 100 also. Highly recommend not missing this truck!"
"I was on a trip to Raleigh in January 2024. My friend and I were in the downtown area. A quick Yelp search and I found Sir Walter Coffee. Pictures on Yelp looked fun; vibe seemed cool. Sir Walter Coffee is known for their "Coffee, Craft, Comfort". Okay - that sounded pretty fun & cool. My friend and I only ordered coffee there as we were headed to a Zumba event afterwards. I had wanted one of their special coffees but they ran out. The cashier helped me select another coffee drink that was similar and voila. Vibe was cool. My friend and I both liked our respective coffee drinks. Good place to chill for a little bit. We were there on a Sunday afternoon - and it was pretty packed. ENJOY!"
"Amazing donuts -- crispy on the outside, fluffy and tasty on the inside, and always some new interesting flavor. We like the cinnamon buns too! And when you get a dozen donuts (or pastries and donuts combined), there is a discount. This time round we had apple cider donuts (standard and good), cranberry earl-grey donuts (one of the day's specials), and ginger hibiscus donut (another special). They were all good!We also had raspberry jam scones - delightful texture on the outside, full of jam on the inside - good, but very sweet, and not really a scone. More of a jam tart. And of course, we got a couple of the cinnamon buns -- they have a lot of sugar on them, but they're delicious. But what makes Monuts exceptional is really the donuts - both the unusual flavors (which are always changing) and the texture (crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside). It's clear that they really work hard at this, and the results are exceptional. I think they open at 7:00 am, and often there's a line at that hour. Come by at midday, and they may be out of almost everything. You'll see in the pictures I posted that it's dark out (as in not yet light) -- we got there early to get a good selection."
"They have amazing bagels and actually toasted it the way I like it. It was covered in cream cheese and it was just delicious. The coffee was also good. There is no where to eat inside, but there is a bench outside. Don't bypass it because of this though because you will miss out on a great bagel. And, their health score is 100!"
"We pulled up to grab a bite to eat, but were met outside with a long line of people waiting for the same thing. However I was blown away about how quick they put the order together! Everything is made fresh to order. Such a great sandwich!"

Today, rainy day and we felt like getting a warm bagel for breakfast with my mom. The place was quiet maybe because of the time and weather. I know they have a great menu and it is fast when not busy. Various vegan options! She got the salmon chive bagel and I got the vegan beca. Try it. It is delicious. Coffee, get the regular size. We got the large not realizing the options. Overall great quick breakfast option. There is a seat down area and parking right in front if you're lucky.

I had been craving a lox bagel and found Big Steve's Bagels. They are located in the food lion plaza in McGees, so plenty of parking is available. When you walk in, you can tell the place is loved by the owners as well as the patrons. We were helped right away, the menu is posted on the wall and easy to see. You can dine in or take it to go, which we opted to go home since we are down the street. Half of my lox did not make it home because it was sooo delicious! The bagel sandwiches are definitely huge, I couldn't unhinge my jaw wide enough to get a whole bite. I will definitely be back and recommend to those looking for bagel breakfast! However, they do sell other things such as desserts. --/edit: this location is now a NYBD!

Excellent! We walked into a super clean establishment. Great first impression. Even though this one person show was super busy today, she was not flustered and moved fast and still made an excellent sandwich. The wait time was not too long at all. We took the sandwiches home and they made the 10 minute drive with no loss of quality. I'm from NY so bagels are important to me and this place did not disappoint. Chewy and delicious with plenty of flavors to choose from. A huge bonus from me for using Boars Head products, even though I didn't buy any of it. In my opinion that's the best deli meat to have. Highly recommend, you can eat in but if ordering take out, I recommend doing it online before going to pick it up to prevent any wait. This place is doing a great job and whomever was working this morning was excellent.

I tried Brown Bag Bagels at the Midtown Farmers Market. The employees were friendly, but weren't wearing masks the whole time. The winner of the bunch was definitely the special of the day which was a cheesy bacon egg sandwich. It was delicious!! The bagel was perfectly soft, the bacon was crispy, and the egg and cheese were just great. I also went with two bagels with cream cheese as well. I think I waited to long to eat them because the texture got pretty tough. Next time I'd def just try to eat the bagel as soon as I got it. I think it's awesome that there are more and more bagel options popping up around the Triangle. I would certainly grab breakfast at Brown Bag Bagels when I see the truck again!

Great location. Cute decor. Very similar to Starbucks vibe. I ordered an iced imperial with sugar free vanilla and almond milk. Hubby ordered a nitro cold brew. I really didn't care for mine. It had a funny tasting sweetness to it. Hubby liked his. They also sell alcohol and I'm intrigued about some of theirs. I'd like to try one of them if I come again. Maybe even some of their food. I wouldn't order any coffee.

Cool Durham Establishment that seems rather hip and trendy if you want donuts & coffee. Now the menu for donuts isn't super extensive or should you expect your typical strip mall donut shop. They have a limited pasty selection but you should find what you're looking for. They make coffee per order and it was a decent cup of joe. Service was fast and friendly. The place has ample seating inside with some outdoor seating that's not just bunched together, someone obviously put some thought into how the seating outdoors would look. Cool place, I'd come back.

I had a great experience at Big Dom's Bagel shop. The service was truly exceptional, and the drive-thru window was a real lifesaver. The staff at the window were so friendly and welcoming, and it made me feel appreciated. The bacon egg and cheese on an asiago bagel reminded me of a corner bagel shop I visited in Jersey a few years back. It was delicious and packed with flavor. The only downside was that the hash browns side was a bit soggy, and I could have done without them.
Visit Restaurant Page"I really enjoyed my experience there. I learned that I need to ask for extra hot when it's super cold. I did not try a signature drink but I was glad they had the option to get my cravings under control. I can not wait to go again."
"As a native Jersey guy, I love when I can find a good bagel, and that's not easy to do. Looking at them on first glance, I wasn't feeling too confident. The holes in the middle were really large. When the hole is overly big, you're not getting as much bagel! Also it's more room for cream cheese or spread to fall out! Also the bottom of a good bagel should have that little crack or blister to it. These didn't have that at all, they almost looked too pretty, if that makes sense. They were pretty good tasting bagels, not the best, not the worst. On a positive side, they have a very good variety to choose from, about all that's missing are rye and salt flavors."
"Brandwein's Bagels is solid. My wife and I have enjoyed their bagel sandwiches from: (1) the shop at the corner of W Rosemary St and N Graham St, (2) the food fridges at UNC Hospitals, and (3) catered events. Brandwein's serves New-York-style bagels "boiled and baked in Chapel Hill," as it says on their storefront. The store opened in August 2020. The business is named after founder and owner Alex Brandwein, who graduated with an MBA from Kenan-Flagler that same year. Brandwein's took over the small brick building formerly occupied by Midway Community Kitchen. The building was renovated. The exterior now sports a bright, white look. It's certainly an upgrade and a cute space for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro community. This place is popular. Limited seating is available inside and out. Outside, the seating is uncovered. Fans were installed outdoors for warm/hot weather. There's no dedicated parking. The closest parking is on N Graham St, south of Rosemary. On that stretch, you have to pay for parking Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm (otherwise, it's free). Use the ParkMobile app, zone #3612. North of Rosemary, parking on N Graham St and Sunset Dr is free, as is the Carrboro municipal gravel lot at the corner of Rosemary and Sunset. Some of our favorite sandwiches include:#2 The Lox ($12.85) - ACME smoked salmon, plain cream cheese, red onion, tomato, capers, dill, lemon#3 The Reuben ($11.85) - Boar's Head corned beef, melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Brandwein's Russian dressing#6 The BLT ($7.60) - applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, Duke's mayoThese are simply fresh, well-made, filling, and satisfying bagel sandwiches. The bagel flavor and texture is just right, and the ingredients are well proportioned and balanced. Yummy. The service we've experienced has been good.TL;DR version - this is the best bagel shop in Chapel Hill and Carrboro that I know of."
"Locally owned coffee shop right off 95 in Benson. It is attached to a gas station. My family and I spent the night in Dunn, NC on our way from Tampa to Pennsylvania. I wanted to grab a coffee from a local shop before getting back on 95 and heading north. While there were a few options, only one seemed to be open on Sunday morning. That was The Grind. We rolled in at 9:12. Online it said they opened at 9. I pulled the door. Locked. There were no hours on the door. Great, hoodwinked. Corporate coffee here I come. As I waited for a break in the pouring rain, a car pulled up and honked at me. Out steps the owner and his employee. They opened the shop. I stepped in and grabbed a cold brew (they serve Larry's Coffee) with oat milk. It was a good cold brew, that the employee asked if he could adjust in any way. I told him he did it well the first time and we continued our journey.Loved the cold brew and locally owned vibes."
"Coffee is a solid 5 stars. We have had the coffee specials of the day and really enjoyed them. Staff is friendly and efficient, don't have to wait long for drinks and food after you order at the counter. The food is ok. Had sandwiches here before - turkey and cheese had too much yellow mustard and the chicken salad had pickle and watercress that just did not hit the mark. Pound cake today is really cold that makes it not exactly pleasant to eat. Will come for coffee and skip the food going forward."
"My favorite bagel spot in the RDU so far. I hope they continue to keep up their quality and consistent creativity because most places go downhill after a while. We walked in for 1/2 dozen mixture and the flight of 3 diff cream cheeses of your choice. Definitely love the chewiness on the outside and soft inside. The cashier was very friendly and they provided quick service."
"It's hard to believe that after living in Raleigh for 12 years I just made it to Third Place. The parking situation (lack of) always turned me off. With $10 in hand from my Offline Raleigh deal, I told myself to be patient and headed over before work. I went on a Wednesday morning at 8 and, miraculously, there was parking in the four spots they have for pick up! Be aware the spots are pretty narrow.I was greeted upon walking in and the barista walked me through the menu as I was indecisive. I ordered a medium vanilla latte, extra hot, and a BLGT. This toasted (sesame) bagel had bacon, spinach (too much!), goat cheese and tomato. I'd order it again and ask for less spinach, and probably get the Michaels English muffin. My drink was the right temperature and wasn't too sweet. I picked up a bagel with cream cheese for my boss and she said it was good.I didn't grab an interior photo, but they have different "stalls" set up with tables along the wall sectioned off by dividers. They would make good work spots during the day."
"As close as you're gonna get to an actual NY bagel in NC. Freshly made in-joise every day, these are water bagels. A dozen varieties are available. They're exactly as you want a bagel... Crispy on the outside, airy and moist inside. Pro tip - slice them and freeze them same day of purchase, toast to serve. Pro tip 2 - if you don't freeze them store on counter in paper bag. They'll be a little hard but when you toast, they spring back to life. Don't store in plastic on the counter, they get soggy."
"Cute little bagel shop with a large variety of bagels tucked in the back of the Durham Food Hall. Prices are reasonable. I had a toasted [Turkish] urfa garlic bagel with cream cheese. I had never heard of urfa spice before so decided to give it a try and it worked really well on a bagel -- sort of like a sesame bagel with a more peppery, smoky character. The plain cream cheese worked well on this bagel and there was plenty of it. If there was one of these in Asheville, it would be my go-to bagel place for sure!"
"Quite possibly the best bagels in the Durham area!! My boyfriend and I grabbed breakfast sandwiches this morning (he got the sausage egg & cheese and I got the bacon egg & cheese). They were both chewy, flavorful, and filling. Since Isaac's is to-go only, we ordered using the mobile system. The process was pretty straightforward. They make your coffee when you come to pick up your order, which is nice-- nobody likes lukewarm or watered-down drinks. I will definitely be back soon to try some of their cream cheeses!!"
"I just stopped in this new Polish bakery in south Durham that opened today. They're located right off I40 and Hwy 55 in Meridian Parkway. I'm not sure why the hours say open 24 hours, but I'm sure they'll make a correction to that! I'd say call ahead before going as they get settled in.I was warmly greeted by Margaret, the owner and introduced to her staff. All lovely ladies. You can feel the excitement in the air now that they're open. This has been much anticipated by numerous posts on local foodie pages so I'm sure they'll be buzzing with customers quickly!!The selection is wonderful and I brought home some desserts for tonight. Apple kolaczki, Polish pinwheels of various flavors, and a loaf of cranberry currant batard. It all looks delicious! Welcome to the neighborhood!!"
"Really great spot to visit on a Saturday morning for coffee and a bagel. I saw a lot of people going in and out of this shop and thought since I have been over here in the past that I had to try it. I walked in and told the lady working behind the counter to get me whatever their best seller was. And let me tell you it was delicious. Not sure how healthy it was but it sure was good. She recommended the bread instead of the bagel. If I stop by in the morning next time I will definitely check out getting a bagel. It was funny when you walked in it looked like NYPD but instead it was NYBD. It was funny the workers shirts made it look like they were cops. The owner was also very nice as well. While I was sitting down eating there were so many people coming in and out most got their order to go. There is seating in the restaurant. This is definitely a popular local spot for this area."
"Awesome bagel shop run by the Boulted Bread folks! I tried Sandwich #4 with lox and deviled egg spread, as well as a cardamom bun and oat milk latte. All fantastic. Also had a bite of the plain bagel, which was great and had sourdough vibes. Note: Located inside the Transfer food hall."
