Really love this spot. They have been around for ages and I am glad to be able to keep coming here. We have to support local for them to outlast. Lots of healthy, vegan options. I get their wings and magic stuff baked potato. parking: plenty of ample parking behind the restaurant.

This place is legit and has great flavor. I went with my sister as she is vegan and wanted to let her try something new. The menu is plenty full and has lots of options. The grilled chicken was okay but on the dry side and it looked like they just slapped it on the grill to give it the burnt stripes. The restaurant seems to be clean and just like any other restaurant. My biggest feedback or negative experience was the waiter as it was as if we were bothering him. It may be his demeanor or his personality but it does not give the welcoming vibe. I did notice that a couple of tables left but I am not sure if it was because of his demeanor.

On a recent visit to ATL, we were recommended to visit this funky joint for breakfast and it couldn't have been more spot-on for both food and atmosphere. The parking is directly behind the restaurant and is shared with the place next door (as far as I could tell). There is an alley between the two that brings you to the parking lot. Before we entered the dining room, we spent at least ten minutes visiting with the collection of tropical birds, who, apparently, are super friendly and like getting head rubs. Cute and lovable, we were already enjoying our experience and hadn't even walked in the door yet!Once we found seating and explored the menu, with the recommendation of the next table: "You HAVE to get the French Toast!", we ordered the R's Breakfast Special which was enough food for two of us. Eggs, bacon, french toast and breakfast potatoes. Everything was delicious. The coffee was super strong. The service was delightful. We would ABSOLUTELY come back the next time we are in the area.

R Thomas on P'tree! So good!Always consistent and delicious. We are stuck on ordering breakfast and brunch here, however, the menu extends into lunch / dinner. If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast spot in the city, R Thomas is your spot. It's been in Atlanta for as long as I can remember...35 years or more. Dining area is built out into the parking area closed in with a tent and proper heating and cooling. Price is moderate and the portions are plentiful! You'll leave satisfied or possibly with a very full happy belly.

What a perfect place to gather. Our Atlanta friends were taking us on a driving tour of Atlanta and suggested this as a place to stop for lunch along the way.Super casual and parking available with birds squawking and talking included as you walk into the restaurant!

Just stopping by with an updated review for a classic Midtown favorite - R Thomas. This spot is an Atlanta staple, and we decided to give it a visit. We popped in on a Saturday, and yes, they were dealing with staffing shortages. But despite that, the one server working was on top of it. I'm writing this review particularly because of a delightful surprise on the menu. I used to be a regular at R Thomas, and my go-to was always the French toast - a classic choice. But on this recent visit with my son (who, by the way, was totally enamored with the fun lights at the place), I decided to try something new: the coconut seafood linguine. And wow, was it a game-changer! What a yummy coconut-based curry sauce mixed with salmon and shrimp. The flavors were great and fresh. R Thomas has been a beloved spot in Midtown for so long. It's not just about the food, but also about the charm and character of the place. If you haven't been to R Thomas in a while, or if you're new to the city and looking for a unique dining experience try it out.

An Atlanta native recommended this gem to us. Waiter was very helpful and knew nearly all items on menu were or could be made gluten free (not the French toast!). Hubby had the gf pancakes for 'appetizer'-they were delicious! Light and fluffy and cooked to perfection!I had the French toast (you can also order a half) with super tasty chicken sausage. Delightful. Not sure if they have a dedicated fryer. Kitschy hippy vibe. Super cute with several large birds in cages outside the building to greet guests.I'd sure come back here and try one of the other items on the menu!

I've heard great things about the French toast here, and they were telling the truth! Location and Parking Located in Buckhead, be careful to read the signs marking where to turn, or else you'll miss the narrow driveway. Parking is located behind the restaurant, and is free. Venue and Atmosphere R. Thomas is just as colorful inside as it is outside. While walking up to the door, you will pass a garden and live exotic birds chirping to welcome you in. Inside, it's a cross between a greenhouse and a disco, with colorful lighting, decorative paintings, and greenery. Watch your step as you proceed to your table, and restrooms are located past the kitchen. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages Ok so, everyone who said that the French toas was delicious was telling the truth. It's perfectly seasoned with powdered sugar and seared with the right amount of butter on brioche bread. I also had the build your own omelette with chicken sausage, cheese, and a variety of veggies. It was also delicious. It is served with a generous portion of fruit (or vegetarian side of your choice). Verdict This French toast is going to become a staple in my brunch rotation, I'll be back!

R. Thomas is an Atlanta staple that's been around longer than I've been alive! It's a great after-hours spot; they're open until 5AM. The food is good, particularly the breakfast. They're known for having fresh ingredients... and literally everything. Burgers, wings, breakfast, fresh pressed juice, vegan, vegetarian. If you want it, they probably have it. Atmosphere - It's laid back. The decor is very vibrant and whimsical. You're basically sitting under a large tent. There are caged parrots outside. It's an interesting place. Parking - I couldn't figure out if we were in the right lot. We paid about $6 to park for an hour and a half. Overall - If you've never been there, check it out!
