R & R Sports Bar & Grill

5 of us left a dinner party and decided to meet for drinks before heading home. We yelped the nearest bar and R&R came up. We were a little hesitant once we pulled into the parking lot because this place looks like a neighborhood dive but figured we were only going to have a drink or two then head home. What a great place! We walked in and they were playing bingo! more than half of the patrons had bingo cards in front of them. it was pretty cool since the dinner party we had just come from had a bingo game as well.Stacy, our bartender, was fabulous! Really Great service! OMG! the chicken and dumplings were very good! don't let the bar scene fool you, the food was great! whoever is cooking in the kitchen, two thumbs up!!!

Perfect dive bar, not crowded, relaxed and great female bartender the Friday evening/night we went. Friendly personality, down to earth! Large bar area, pool tables on the side. Decent bathrooms, good price on beers. Stage for karaoke if that's your thing. It wasn't started til about 9ish/10 though. We got there around 5:30. They serve food but we just got our drink on and ate someplace else afterwards. They lose a star for having to pay for music so be prepared to hear everything under the sun here since people have different tastes. Definitely return worthy since I don't work far from there!

I have been coming to R & R for over 10 years. Peggy is the most attentive bartender ever. Love this place!

Everything you think about when you think of a hole in the wall... Tuesday steak night... Cheap drinks... Great service... Only reason it wasn't a five is because this was my first trip here and it could be a fluke but I hope not... I'll be back...

It's your typical dive bar, only with higher than usual drink prices. The food is dive bar food, the service is dive bar slow service, the atmosphere is old, smokey, and a little dirty. Not many close alternatives so I guess the locals have no choice. Keep on Barker-Cypress, pass Clay and you'll find better. Once again, typical dive bar, which is ok by me, but the prices are insulting.

A proper dive bar. Staff is friendly. Regulars are fun. Be prepared for the smoke....overall great atmosphere

This place is great! The staff is friendly, the food is good and the prices are very reasonable! The customers are usually very warm and welcoming, as well. You can tell there is a loyal foundation with a long history of great service!

Such an amazing dive bar, Bar tenders are so amazing and compassionate, SERVICE is 5 star worthy.

Absolutely a "dive" bar by all standards! Went in with a couple neighbors Saturday night and never saw more than 15people in the place. I opened a tab for shots for the group on my credit card and another paid cash for a couple buckets of beer. When we closed our tab it was $43 left a $10 tip. The next morning I wake up to see a pending charge of $90. Figuring since it was a PENDING charge I would wait to see if it corrected itself. Tuesday the charge posted to my account for $108! We called the bar and was told the owner was not there. The owner calls back and gets all the information and says she will call back Wednesday with a resolution. I get off work tonight and still haven't heard anything from them so I call back. "The owner hasn't made it in yet I'll have her call you" Thieves see someone come in that can afford more so they slide an extra $50 in thinking I won't notice it?!?! Really?? I have money because I watch EVERYTHING! Drive up to Pennisons for karaoke it's a lot cleaner and more people and they don't rob you thinking you were too drunk to remember anything.
