Adeni Chai (~$6 before tip as of Nov 2023). Kind of expensive, but it's an experience I suppose

A 5 star for the interior, a 3.5-4 star for the coffee/deserts. I love yemeni coffee and there have been a lot of counterparts opening up around the area. I just didn't feel like qahwah house's coffee was as comparable because it was too sweet and the spices did not shine through enough. I had also ordered a pistachio cake and that tasted like straight sugar with no pistachio taste to it. However, I LOVE this establishment for studying-- the interior is so spacious with many comfortable seating options and big tables. The only downside is the lack of outlets especially near the middle of the coffee shop. Overall, I look forward to coming back for future study grind days.

Cafe is big and beautiful interiorly. There are plenty of seatings indoor and outdoor. I had the 12oz Adeni Chai. The tea was not aromatic.the flavor was neither sweet nor spicy, and wasn't strong. I got some pastries to-go too. The pastries aren't made in-house. My favorite was the khaliat al nahl. The bread was soft and pulled apart easily. The cream cheese inside the bread complemented well with the honey. The lemon cake was soft and airy, but wasn't lemony. I did not particularly like the exterior white chocolate on the pistachio cake. The pistachio cake did not taste like pistachio. I wouldn't recommend getting the creme brûlée tart; it didn't taste anything like creme brûlée. As for the hazelnut tart, the chocolate was ok and the tart shell was soft and crumbly. There was only one staff who took orders, prepared the drinks, and cleaned up the floor and tables. Thus there would be some wait for the drinks.

I bring all my out of town guests here! Love the honey comb bread here! Their pot of adeni chai is a must get here. The ambiance is fantastic! I see a lot of people just hangout with their laptops. Parking is plenty. Service is always on point. They have come a long way. And the quality seems to only get better every time I come here.

I'm not sure how I missed this place for so long, since it is located very near my office in Sugar Land. One rainy morning on my way into a meeting, I stopped here briefly to grab a drink. I was not feeling like coffee and I decided if I was going to order a Yemeni specialty I would wait until I could sit down in there and enjoy it. I ordered a Matcha Latte. While I waited, I admired the beautifully decorated space which is huge. This is one of the larger coffee houses I've been to period and would be a great place to bring a group of friends. The service was excellent and the barista was polite and friendly. I asked the barista about the business. She said it's been open for four months and is the only location in the Houston area. With the many Yemeni coffee houses opening, it is a great time to try this one out.The matcha latte was good. It was a bit light on the matcha, as I like mine to have a stronger matcha flavor. Otherwise, I loved everything about this place. I will be sure to come back to try more drinks and update the review.

Wanted to try something different and visited this Yemeni coffee house. Went in the middle of the day and there was no wait. The interior features high ceilings and nice decor. There is plenty of seating, inside and out. The only downside is I would say is that it's on the pricey side, but it's a nice place to chat over a drink.

The Yemeni wave of coffee has landed in Houston, and I absolutely love it!I won't specifically name the competition, but there have been other Yemeni coffee shops that have appeared all throughout the city, none of them have disappointed. As a Latino guy that is addicted to coffee, I've become a fan of any java from Yemen! My brothers and I pulled up to this location late at night on Christmas Eve, it was one of the few places that was open on the holiday. As we walked in, the shop itself was beautiful, spacious, and absolutely popping! There was neat decor all over that to me speaks about the diversity that Houston has to offer! You can walk into all types of business and absolutely be transported to some other place. There was a long line that night, but we didn't mind, as we were eager to find a place that would caffeinate us. All the baristas seemed friendly, and they provided good service. The menu offered all types of delicious teas, coffees, refreshers, and pastries that looked absolutely delicious. We ordered two iced lattes, and a matcha latte. They had different milk options to chose from and we decided to take the oat milk route. The total came out to about 24 bucks. It wasn't necessarily cheap! However, the drinks were delicious! My brother loved his Matcha, and I found my latte to be very tasty and hit me right where I needed on Christmas. There has to be some extra deliciousness that comes with Coffee from Yemen, and I am here for it!

This coffee house is so impressive! The interior is so beautiful--it is spacious, furnished with warm brown furniture, lots of tables for working or just hanging out, and nicely decorated. The menu is also extensive. Lots of unique coffee and pastry options. I ordered the Yemeni latte, which contains honey, cardamom, and other ingredients. It was really delicious--flavorful, but surprisingly not too sweet. Service was also quick and nice.I highly recommend stopping by this new establishment!

I wish this were closer to me.I drove from Spring to meet someone in this area and buy some hand-spun yarn off them. While waiting, I picked a coffee shop so I could sit and write for a few hours to get more value out of my long drive. I've only been here a few minutes and boy have I got my value already.I ordered my standard--a decaf mocha latte with hazelnut--and it was anything but standard. Often when I'm trying a new coffeeshop, I'm disappointed by the lack of sweetness in my drink, but not here. Here, I got hit with just the right balance of the bitter and the sweet and it flowed creamy-soft over my tongue. I can already tell I'm going to need one more of these before I leave. The environment is friendly, too, with soft brown tones and an elegant map on the wall showing the coffee routes. There are standard tables-and-chairs, softer bench-like seats, and puffy chairs. Spacious and inviting, I could definitely spend a few hours here writing and sipping this glorious mocha.Ah me, and here I've already gone and drunk it all... guess it's time to order my second.
