Pupusas y Antojitos Julia

Extremely delicious pupusas! They make them as good as my sister's-in-law. Curtido is great and their Yuca and chicharon, YUMMY!!

First of all I would like to say that the service was not great. The lady didn't give us silverware, she rolled her eyes when we asked if she could give us a minute to order instead of waiting right next to the table. I asked for food Togo and for food to eat there. Pupusas were not the best I have tried but they were okay. The plátano frito was alright as well. The yuca was delicious but that was as good as it got. While we were eating we noticed that there was a few cockroaches walking around on the condiments on top of our table. When we told the lady she just grabbed the basket and moved it aside. They're the small cockroaches that are very hard to exterminate so if there isn't already an infestation there is most likely gonna be one now since they didn't kill them. For my Togo food they didn't complete my whole order and I had to ask for my money back since I was charged for it. They were very hesitant to give it to me but the bill was given to me at the same time as the to go food and then when after I paid that's when I checked the food to make sure everything was there. Honestly will never go back here.

The first impression in a Salvadoran place like this is its decoration. It is a small place but very rich food. The members are very happy and attentive when attending the tables. we order Pupusas & carne azada. Also shrimp. Everything is very rich.Why 4 stars?I think what you should not do in this place. is go to the bathrooms. especially mans ones .They are not clean apart I found Black linen. towels in which the utensils are wrapped so you can eat . The trashcan was full and gross . So if you want to enjoy your food. In peace, avoid going to the bathroom.:)Español La primera impresión en un lugar salvadoreño como este es su decoración . Es un pequeño lugar pero muy rica comida. Los miembros son muy felices y atentos al atender las mesas . Ordenamos Pupusas carne azada y camarones . Todo está muy rico. Por que 4 estrellas ?Creo que lo que no debes hacer en este lugar es ir a los baños especialmente el de hombres No son muy limpios aparte encontré Black linen toallas en las que envuelven los utensilios . El bote de basura estaba lleno y muy sucio . Así que si quieres disfrutar de tus alimentos en paz evita ir al baño.

I'll keep this short and sweet.Delicious pupusas! Very tasty and juicy carne asada plate. Very friendly server.I had a great experience! Too bad I don't work around here anymore otherwise I'd totally come back for more.

I would have given this place 4 stars because the food was really good, but because the service sucks, they will be getting 2 stars. Just to give you an idea of how bad the service is, I saw our waitress makeout with what I'm assuming was her boyfriend or husband. I get this is a fun atmosphere but save that crap for home or rent by hour hotel. It's tacky and makes the wait staff look so stupid in front of people who are more than likely not from Houston considering you are situated in uptown Houston. A lot of people that stay in this area are professional and don't care to see high school makeout sessions. If I want to see crap like that, I can go the men's club down the street.With that being said, I would call in advance and take the food to go because it worth trying. Chilaquiles were the best I've had and I'm from San Antonio where we have Mexican food at every corner.

On Wednesdays there is a buy one get one free.I been coming here for over 7 years. Absolutely authentic and always fresh.. so many selections to choose from.

Ordered Pupusas here for the first time, chicharron, revueltas, cheese and shrimp. They didn't taste good, no flavor, i tasted more masa than anything.The curtido was bad no flavor they give you so little for the amount of Pupusas and for what I paid, also the salsa had no flavor y toda aguada. Never ordering here again. Going back to my regular Pupuseria

Horrible place the server didn't say hi or hello just " are you ready to order" and we was barely seating. Pupusas are half way cook, the music make you feel like you in a funeral home they gave you the curtido in a little bag like you ask for to go also the salsa.Do not go here

So disappointed food weren't that great pupusas ain't all way from flour masa is mix pupusas all flat like somebody practicing to make them , quesadillas aint that great , sopa de gallina india not good se sirve gallina asada not fry , oooh we find hair in my food so never again stop there .
