developed here to eat during our Miami visit. There's an air of nostalgia about the restaurant. I had the oxtail, and it was really good! The meat easily separated from the bones and had a rich flavor. Our service was excellent; when my husband asked for the green sauce, he told us that it was freshly made. It was fantastic that he returned with a tiny dish for us. I would adore returning to sample the various cuisines.

Oh wow this place was GREAT! We were there daily during our stay. In the mornings we came in for coffee and empanadas. In the evenings we came in for dinner. Their seafood was super fresh - wow - SOOO good. I'd never tried fish soup before and I couldn't believe how good it was. The shrimp was cooked just right. There is a counter area on one side (where we sat in the mornings) and the other side has tables. There are a couple tables outside too. Service was great. It is family run. We enjoyed meeting the folks who work there.

I come here every time I am in Miami and I have to visit multiple times to get my fix because it is just that good. Always get the oxtail stew! So tender and gives you that "somebody's grandma made this" feeling. 10/10Chicken Noodle Soup is great the morning after a Miami night :)Plantains 10/10I also appreciate that over the course of the years, it is always consistent in service and flavor. Puerto Sagua, you have my heart.

No trip to South Beach is complete without eating some Latin food, especially Cuban. And there's no better choice for Cuban food in Miami Beach than Puerto Sagua. I've been going here for over 20 years for coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I no longer live in the area and visited last week with my wife and a good friend. It was my wife's first time. Like always, Puerto Sagua didn't disappoint. Friendly service and AMAZING food. It's a local legend for a reason!

Affordable Cuban food on south beach. The service was friendly and the food came out very quickly and was piping hot! Flavorful, hot and quick! What could be better for a hungry girl in a hurry?!?

I've been coming here for years and it's very old school. The food is what makes this place and they were the only ones that survived during the Covid pandemic. The staff are so friendly and they even gave me some garlic sauce to go. This place is epic.

Every time I visit Miami, I make sure to stop at Puerta Sagua, a classic, old-school Cuban restaurant that feels truly authentic. Start with a Cuban espresso to kick things off. I always order the oxtail--it's incredibly tender, falling off the bone, and packed with flavor. Finish with their flan, which is consistently delicious and memorable for me. I can't stop raving about this place--it's the best!

Such good Cuban food and ready really quickly! The portions are huge - for $30 I got ropa vieja, maduros, pan, rice and black beans and it was enough to share for two hungry people! The quality was what I expected and it tasted authentic to Cuban food I've had before.
