I had a great super early dinner here. Service was excellent (we had the only table occupied at the time). Brussel sprouts were really tasty! The pizza was several days worth of meals for us! Very tasty too. Sausage was a tad spicy too.Still a great place to grab a bite to eat if you are feeling like Italian food.

Wow, what an interesting experience! Our server was excellent--prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. We started with cocktails; the Old Fashioned was fantastic. For our appetizer, we had the Shrimp Scampi, which was delicious. We ordered the Carbonara and the Cioppino for our main courses, and both were great. I would highly recommend the Cioppino, which was a special.Overall, everything was wonderful until we were nearing the end of our bottle of wine. Here's where things took a turn: We made a reservation for 6:45 and were seated promptly. However, the entire meal was rushed--cocktails, wine, appetizer, salad, entrées, and dessert. Despite spending $224 for two people, at 7:43 (58 minutes into our reservation), a person we assumed was the manager approached us and said, "We have another party waiting for this table; if you would move to the bar"... I was taken aback, as we still had drinks and were less than an hour into our reservations. He then I think sensing our shock offered to buy us a drink if we moved to the bar... We left, leaving the wine behind, feeling quite dismayed.A $224 bill for two at a restaurant where the average meal is under $30, and being rushed out in under an hour, is simply unacceptable. This experience went from a potential 5-star review to 2 stars in an instant. If you're looking for a relaxing meal, you might want to consider dining elsewhere. But if you prefer a place where you'll be hurried through your meal and then asked to leave early, this is the spot for you!

OK, here is an update on our experience last evening at Pubblico.Where to start? Well, how about saying that it was just as bad as it was three weeks ago. Perhaps worse. This is an update to a poor experience of three weeks ago It seemed out of character and we thought we would try it again as we had been loyal patrons for over two years; however, last night's experience made us swear off Pubblico forever.Upon our arrival, the hostess was speaking with a food delivery person and we waited about five minutes for her to finish. Other employees just stood around as we and other arrivals waited. At the bartender (blonde woman) asked us if we wanted "our regular" drinks....that shows that we were indeed recognized. My husband ordered a beer and I a glass of wine. After those drinks, we ordered the meatball appetizer. There were two, swimming in sauce with melted provolone cheese. I had remembered the meatballs to be larger than the ones we were served but they were tasty. No bread offered. My husband ordered another beer, and I requested another glass of wine. Not only did the bartender (a redhead woman wearing gold rimmed eyeglasses with an off white kerchief) just measure another wine serving in a decanter, and began pouring my wine into my previously used glass, but when my husband requested a clean glass, she discarded the wine in the dirty glass and continued pouring he remainder of my drink into the new glass and did not top off my wine serving, so I did not receive a full pour. Edgar, the manager, was seated directly across from us at the exterior bar. It appearing to be reading atextbook, photo attached) and made no effort to pay attention to anyone at the bar except for chitchat and laughter between he and the two female bartenders. When my husband's order of spaghetti and meatballs arrived, he waited for someone to offer parmesan. Both bartenders were again chatting with Edgar, ignoring us. He had to ask! In an Italian restaurant??This is a two strikes and you're gone! Don't waste your time and money.

We came here after finding immediate availability on open table. It was kind of expensive for what it was but we were so hungry the food tasted amazing to us. They charged me for literally 2 TBSP of marinara sauce for the calamari and the "special" pasta had not much more seafood ingredients than the standard clam one of the menu and it was SO much more expensive. I probably wouldn't go back if ever back in phoenix. Service was nice enough for us coming in so late still well over an hour before closing though. It was very empty and dead

Came here for a quick bite. Ordered the lemon drop for my adult beverage, the soup of the day which was chicken and vegetables and the shrimp scampi. I wish I had had room to order the lobster linguini which was a limited special but I was too full. Apparently the lobster came directly from Maine! Service was great, ambiance was wonderful and everything was tasty. I definitely have to come back to enjoy a main entree.

Came for dinner with my kids really cool vibe and kid friendly. Our server was April and she was a doll. I had ordered the filet (medium) it came out well done. I found a piece of rubber glove in my food. April immediately took it off the bill and apologized, also comp a dessert. Other than that everything was amazing. The pizza was the best thing we had ordered calamari was a little fishy the meatballs and fettuccine were delicious. Thank you April for being an awesome server!

Great food, Great atmosphere, Poor service... When you're paying over $100 for dinner you don't want to feel rushed and that you're an after thought... Do Not eat here towards the end of the night and expect to be treated well... Yes, we walked in a hour before close and asked if they were still serving and we're told we had 30 mins to order before last call... We ordered wine, salads, an app and entree within 5-10 mins of being seated (we both worked in the service industry and respect parameters) the wine came out and as we talked our main courses were placed in front of us without our salads... when asked about them and they said "Oh..." they came out maybe 10 mins later and at that point they looked great but we had no interest... They closed at 9pm and at 9:04pm they raised the house lights w 3 tables still finishing their meals/drinks... The servers were mostly packed up and waiting in front of house to leave staring at their watches... So I got a box to take my food home to finish and downed the wine to get out of there... There was no sorry or sliding scale to reevaluate the back of house mix up on slow food... I have no problem paying for good food and good service but this left a sour taste in my mouth and no matter how good the food is, if I feel unwanted and a nuisance, I will not return.

We came here at around 5pm on a Sunday and they have a daily happy hour from 4-6pm, woo hoo!We got an Arizona local draft beer, a meatball plate, a fig and prosciutto bruschetta, a margherita pizza, a large house salad, and a cheese pizza.Everything and I mean everything was absolutely delicious. Meatballs were two large meatballs on a bed of polenta covered with cheese and a tomato sauce. Yum!!!The fig and prosciutto bruschetta was a perfect mix a sweet figs, tart balsamic, and delicious prosciutto on nice French bread. Again, total winner!!Pizzas were done nicely, with just enough strength in the dough to be able to fold the dough and eat by the slice while remaining tender. Cheese was rich, melty, and not oily. The large house salad had a nice balsamic dressing with crisp fresh greens, ripe tomatoes, onions, shaved Parmesan, and nice crispy cheesy croutons. We absolutely loved this place, my 4 year old daughter loved her lemonade and cheese pizza.Service was very friendly and the place was really clean too!

Wanted to eat at a non Italian chain in Central Phoenix on our last day in town and found this place via Google. It was a little difficult to see via the naked eye but such a lil gem!Our server was comical. We started off with the caprese salad and garlic bread. Main course was this yummy rigatoni with Italian sausage bolognese (not a fan of sausage but this was delish). Garlic bread was crusty and fresh without being hard and crunchy. The hint of rosemary was the highlight! Caprese salad had this balsamic glaze and a hit of sweetness (perhaps honey) now I'm gonna have to copycat the recipe! Funny side note: ordered a glass of Napa Cab and I thought oh, what a bargain at 8.00 a glass so my friend ordered one, too. Turned out that was per ounce and a glass is 38 bucks! Lesson learned: make sure you read the fine print lol.
