Primos Taqueria

This good ol truck stop is still open when most of the Corperate stops are closed due to the weather (end quote) . Got a pilot across the highway and their closed!!! This stop has had a major face lift at least in the c-store anyway. Building completely remodeled and all new coolers plus a beer cave!!! Restaurant is still here but needs to be remolded in a bad way. Still has the same bathroom from 40 years ago, that being said fuel pumps are moved to north side of restaurant instead of being out front and an awning over them. Still had parking just can't park by the restaurant like old times. So yes parking is limited. All in all gave it five starts for being open in this weather and being friendly still!!

Very disappointed!! I haven't been here in a long time. Saw they updated the place thought I'd try it out. Well the updates didn't help the food. I had two taco's and a side of beans. By far the worst Mexican food I've had in a long time they should not have Mexican food on the menu if this is what they serve. Did I mention 2 taco's and side of beans 10.00I do not recommend this place

At one time this place served homemade yeast rolls and delicious chicken fried steak. The rolls are gone and so are many other things. They have cleaned it up and have a new menu. The breakfast menu is awful. It's not cheap either. For years I've stopped and then the food was good but now it's just sad. The chicken fry is still big and hand breaded but the gravy that they serve is horrible. The veggies are all straight out of a can. This place will never make it. Just a matter of time. The service was terrible.

I would NOT recommend this restaurant!! We stopped in seated ourselves finally got our drinks after about 20 minutes .. I ordered the enchiladas with no beans cause I'm allergic he had the fajitas.. after awhile got our food and had beans on half my enchiladas but was starving so decided to eat just one side and the cheese had tasted like metal so after I polity said something she rudely took my plate .. we went to pay and he was over charged for the fajitas.. oh well but then she rang up my enchiladas and he said mam she didn't eat that cause the cheese was bad and she shrugged her shoulders and continued ringing up the drinks .. he said y'all took her plate cause the cheese was bad and she said not her problem that they cooked it so we were gonna pay for it .. after shoving his card in the machine always breaking it .. she threw him his card back .. that's no way to treat anyone !!! It would have been nice to know that u were gonna charge us anyways I would have sucked it up and just got food poisoning which no one should ever be made to eat something that might kill them but come on!!! She was very rude hateful and unprofessional and if your having a bad day or don't want to be at work .... Don't take it out on someone who just wants to come in sit down n relax after driving 800 miles and is hungry!!! Will never be back !!!

The customer service is outstanding. I ordered the shrimp tacos & homemade pineapple cake over the phone before arriving. While the taco shells & cheese were great, there was little in the way of shrimp in the tacos. The cake was good, though next time I'll try a different one. Reasonable pricing as well!

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to that is attached to a truck stop!! The food is beyond anything you'll get at a Denys or IHOP by far. From what I can tell it's family owned and run

Meh... stopped over here from the Pilot. It's called Primo Hitching Post now. Well nice Mexican family , small menu. Just ok mediocre food. There was 4 of us. My potatoes were cold, my ham was thin slices ( grilled tho) of sandwich meat, eggs were good and pancakes too good. Hubbys food was cold. Think the waitress waited for all four plates to come out. A heat lamp would be good... hello. Prob won't come back here again. Think Wendy's at the Pilot would be better!

This place is great for a quick stop, while you are heading to the gas station to get some gas you should also stop at primos. They have great authentic Mexican food. I seriously recommend this place and I wish I could give 6 stars!! People are nice and welcoming there. Plus if you're looking for some fast grub I would get the 18 wheels burrito. And for the dine-in option I would get the fajita plate special.

good food friendly folks. Hard to get good pork chops on the road more than I could eat.
