Don't waste your money! I spent $144 on brunch for 2 people!! I came here yesterday (10/6/24) for Brunch and I will not be back. The waitress didn't know anything about the brunch menu and stated that it was her 1st Brunch shift... I thought servers were supposed to know the entire menu?? The food was lackluster, both my friend and I had the chicken and waffles. The waffle lacked flavor and so did the chicken. The side of Plantain and eggs was good but that was it. We both had 1 mimosa and I got bottled Saratoga and my friend got Perrier. Please note that they charge a service free and gratuity! The total for a flavorless brunch? $144!!!! We could've eaten brunch 3x at 3 different places!! I don't mind spending money but damn, almost $200 for brunch is insanity!Overall, food isn't great, service was ehh and the ambiance was fine.

Such a horrible experience. I visited last night 9/5/24 around 9:30pm. The host was attentive and assisted us to the bar as the cleaner cleared the area for us. The downside was the bartender (light skin with braids) he never greeted us to begin with. I figure he was so caught up in his phone he didn't pay attention to paying customers. After about 10min we began to try and get his attention but he ignored us and continued to text on his phone with his back turned. He then began to serve a particular female again who was clearly drunk and after 20min we got up to leave. He still didn't say one word, so I kindly walked up to him and told him to get off the phone and pay attention. After already giving this place a thumbs down from my first visit I tried to give them another chance and boy should I have trusted my gut!! I will never be back and I'll be sure my friends, family and loved ones don't return either. If only I could upload this video I took of how long he ignored us. SMH

It was pretty low-key during our visit. With just a few tables with customers, we had a pretty smooth experience overall. We tried a variety of items like the Philly cheesesteak spring rolls and sautéed prawns for appetizers. We enjoyed both. We ordered the whole grilled red snapper for our entrees, one with a side of fried plantain and the other with sautéed vegetables. Of course we had to try their jollof rice for us to split (it was ok). The food overall was good. We enjoyed our passionfruit martinis. Some friends joined us so there were rounds of shots and other drinks. I could tell that this spot would be quite buzzy for a meetup, there are TVs and a decent system with upbeat music. Staff was chill. We sat above the bar so there was always someone in earshot of what we needed. I would go back.

I was unfortunately underwhelmed by my recent dining experience at Prime Fusion Afro Grill & Lounge. I drove all the way from Maryland to meet my Sister for Brunch to discuss her upcoming wedding. While the ambiance was pleasant, the food and mimosa tower did not live up to our expectations. Granted we should have asked how many bottles of champagne did they use which BTW is 1, for $70 it definitely is not worth it. The chicken and waffles were not it. The party wings were overcooked and the waffle batter had no flavor. They had no hot sauce for the chicken, and the waitress advised the restaurant didn't have ANY condiments. I'mconfused! Additionally, I found the prices to be somewhat steep considering the quality of the meal. There was a convenience fee as well as gratuity added. Needless to say I would not return for brunch, but maybe the dinner service will be better.

I finally got to check this place out after going to the Phillies game Tuesday night. They offer a taco flight that is 3 tacos for $20. They give u a jerk shrimp one, steak, and spicy chicken. My favorite was the jerk and spicy chicken. It wasn't crowed in the place but the tacos took 35-40 mins to come out

The appetizers were good. Drinks were great (strong). I was too full to actually partake in any entrees unfortunately however, I will be back to try the salmon and jollof rice. The bartender was very attentive. The restaurant is a hidden gem for sure.

I heard about this place some time ago. I was in the area, so I decided to stop here for takeout. Parking: residential street parking, so there weren't any spots. I parked as best I good safely and partially legal and put my flashers on. Atmosphere: low light with faux greenery. Service: The guy who took our order was nice. They charge a service fee. I did not notice this until after leaving. Food: Egusi soup with fish and egusi soup with beef with pounded yam. The container was small for the price of $40 and $37, respectively. The food was not bad. The beef was tender. I would have like more heat and flavor. The price point is for the area and for people that live nearby. I'm not sure if I would go back due to parking issues and high prices. I can get good egusi and pounded yam for less and with parking.

After going back and forth on restaurants we spontaneously decided to try a new (to us) restaraunt and since its black history month (YKTV) it had to be black owned.Prime fusion was about a 25 minute drive from our home, located in the Gray's Ferry section of Philadelphia. Parking in that residential area at 6 pm on a Sunday was bananas but the parking gods rock with me so I always find something. We walked in, learned they had reservations for the evening but we were invited to sit at the bar. They have a lower level bar and a higher level bar in reduced lighting that almost makes you feel like you really got a table so I went with that. We sat down and I asked for the bubbly flight but they said they didn't have that at the moment. Bartender asked me if I wanted Prosecco, unh unh sir, so I ordered the Slay Queen and my daughter went with the Lastini. They were both delicious. For food we started off with the Peri shrimp. Well seasoned, the perfect hint of spice. Amazing appetizer, I only wish there were more on the plate. While waiting on our entrees we got a hookah with candy tips ($45 base, but after we bought candy tips and tipped 20% it was basically $70). For entrees I decided on the Fried Red Snapper that came with white rice. My daughter went with the West African Red Stew and added beef. My snapper was amazing. When I tell you the way I moved through those bones to get every ounce of flesh off that skeleton, it was criminal how I did that poor fish. I'm not even a rice person but I chased every grain on that plate. I would post the after photo but I'm halfway embarrassed that I really ate like I was starving. I tried my daughter's stew and it was also good, seasoning was again top tier and it was perfect with the rice. We were there for at least 2-2.5 hours vibing to the music and smoking our little hookah. A huge "Thank you" to the manager Dalton for his welcoming hospitality. Definitely a nice touch to the night. Note: A humble 15% gratuity is included in the bill (which I'm okay with because I see how some of y'all be tipping) but we added cash to get it to 20% because this is 2024 after all. $208 was the bill total before the extra tip. We had a great meal, nice vibes, and circulated some money back into the black community. A win in all aspects.

So awesome having a West African spot so close by. Tons of cocktails, hookah, and open late if you just want to hang out. The food was so delicious and worth the wait. Prices were steep with service charges and tip included but I get having to pay rent in the neighborhood and staff. All of the staff working there were so friendly and inviting.

The vibe of this place was great! It was very clean, relaxing, and welcoming! We were welcomed and seated quickly as we had a reservation. Our server was nice and we didn't have any issues with her.I had the Jerk in the Sea and it was absolutely delicious! Didn't leave anything on the plate lol. The Dark N Stormy was good. The flavors were subtle which is good because I don't like too sweet of a cocktail. The No Wahala was very sweet, but still good. I would like to come back here again to try a few more things! I do wish their menu had more variety in price and options. It seems like there are a few delicious looking items that are pricey, and then the rest of the menu is a lower price point with so-so options. I didn't see much street parking, but we took an Uber here.
