Potter's Liquor

A small privately owned shop with an impressive selection of inventory. They don't gouge prices on hard to finds, and they have held inventory for me, and called me when something hard to find I was looking for came in. They are very accommodating. As far as prices, they have to make a living, but I've never seem any prices I would call out of bounds. Oh, and if you don't see what your looking for. Ask. Was looking for some Old Forresters 1910, one on the shelf, I was looking for two, one from a buddy in East Texas. "I'll have it for you tomorrow." Sure enough, next day. Stopped by. There it was.

My husband and I stopped by Potter's liquor as it was the only one close to our house in Friendswood. It is a small place with a big selection, so it is a bit cramped inside. My husband was able to get his bottle of Glenlivet 12 for $45, which is almost what we pay at Spec's, but we were not able to find anything else that wasn't outrageously overpriced. The six packs of beer were all at least $9, even if it was a cheap domestic. This place is okay if you do not care about spending a lot of money, but I'm one that likes to get my money's worth. Next time we'll make the drive to Bay Area.

I love Potter's Liquor. They're the only place I go for intoxicating beverages and even for some that aren't. I would have to disagree with Jen R., the "old lady behind the counter" is one of the most fun people I've seen in retail stores anywhere. She keep her priorities straight, she does run the cash register, but she'll laugh and joke with you the whole time, but be warned, she will go toe to toe with the best of them!-Many types of locally sourced and imported liquors, but beer selection is kinda slim. There's still good choices though. -Decent prices-I don't feel like someone is gonna try to mug me when I leave.

Great selection and great prices, only negative was the old lady behind the counter. She was rude as heck. Will not be back. I would rather pay a bit more and be treated kindly.
