The experience at Postino was classic, functional, and spot-on. The dining area that could easily transform into a practical Italian terrace evening was really appreciated. The ambience was enticing as a result of the casual, but welcoming hosting staff and the warm lighting. The patio experience was two-fold - car motors and perfectly tuned volume for ease in conversation. The overall experience was intimate and comforting for an introduction to Italian-styled starters with very well-chosen diverse wine offerings. It's relevant to note that the restaurant should be approached with the mindset that all options can be shared by the table. Otherwise you'll end up spending a fortune for what you get. The bruschetta was finely cut to share and choose from a list of 12 - 14 toppings. For the charcuterie board, there were many options and the size was definitely fit for anyone to enjoy something from the spread.

Great overall experience! Service and food was great. Excellent wine menu. We had the rose and went very well with the meatball and grilled cheese app. Than we had a board to follow which was equally present. I would 10/10 gp back again.

Postino Village District is a fresh gem in Raleigh's heart, blending the charm of a cozy neighborhood spot with the polish of a well-loved chain (AZ, CA, CO, TX, GA). Despite being less than two months old, it's already winning hearts with excellent service, a thoughtful selection of drinks, and tasty small bites. The ambiance is inviting, offering a true Village District vibe that feels both familiar and refreshing. Whether you're local or just passing through, this is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the best of what VD has to offer. Highly recommended!

I've been to Postinto Village District two times now. I like that it is easy to find parking. The first time I sat outside and the second inside. The hard surfaces inside make it very noisy to hold a conversation. Service was exceptional the first time and not as good the second so some consistency is needed in that area. Food is brought out pretty quickly after ordering. I had a clean menu on the second visit.I ordered the grilled cheese on my second visit and really enjoyed that. I had another bruschetta board as well. This time, the Mexican Street Corn was added to the Brie, Apple and Fig, Prosciutto & Mascarpone and Ricotta, Date & Pistachio that I enjoyed on the first visit. I do want to try some other menu items so will do that when it is comfortable to sit outside again unless there are quieter areas inside.

I get all the hype about Postino ! Not only are the drinks amazing but the bruschetta board was soo good ! I love a place where I can try a lot of little bite of things and that's what I did. My fave from the bruschetta board was the Mexican street corn , buratta bacon arugula tomato and the smoked salmon & pesto! H got their french dip and he cleaned his plate! My espresso martini went perfect with my board and H loved his margarita!

I had dinner with a couple of new friends, but I did arrive a little earlier. The staff still gave me a table, and several servers came up to me to make sure I was ok. After 45 minutes, one of the managers said they wanted to bring me some complimentary meatballs, they just felt so bad for me sitting there with just a glass of water! I was never going to ask for anything, it was just a super nice gesture. The tiny skillet came with 6 or 7 small meatballs covered in marinara sauce, topped with chives and goat cheese with three pieces of focaccia bread on the side. The meatballs were so tender and the robust sauce was very flavorful, not just straight tomato. And the goat cheese crumbles added a sharpness that cut through the sauce. For the bruschetta board, we got 4 varieties. First of all, very good bread, nice and thick, well toasted, but still some chew. I usually avoid bruschetta because the bread usually has the consistency of a crouton! Not the case here. I would say our favorite was probably the sweet and spicy pepper jelly. The warm artichoke turned out ok, but it was missing something, it needed another ingredient to counter the texture of the artichoke. Mexican street corn was fine, maybe we just didn't expect the corn to be served cold. The smoked salmon bruschetta was complex and very enjoyable.I had a glass of the red blend wine and the server gave us glasses plus a small carafe with more to fill our glasses up. And I tried a Tempranillo as well beforehand. This one of the friendliest restaurant staffs I have encountered in a while. They seem excited about working there and they don't come off as robotic, and their smiles don't appear forced. The atmosphere is classy with dim lighting, but certainly not snooty. Definitely a place I will return to, there's so much more of the menu I would like to experience.

This new restaurant/wine bar in the Village District (where Cafe Carolina used to be) is doing everything right! They are a chain and it's obvious they know what folks like. There's comfortable inside seating with a nice ambiance, and for those who like to stay out, there's an inviting patio with outdoor bar seating as well.TIP1: Get on their email list before you go. Right now they are giving away a whole bruschetta board! Don't know how long that lasts, but you can't beat it. They even threw in a glass of wine.TIP2: Make reservations! We are not the only ones who have found it. The food was absolutely divine! Love that they cut each of the bruschettas into four pieces. Perfect for sharing. We liked all four that we tried, with our two favorites being the artichoke spread and the Mexican corn. Now let's talk Cauliflower with Romesco sauce. Just do it! If you love mushrooms like Husband does, you don't want to miss the mushroom truffle fondue. And the shrimp, artichoke scampi is another triumph.LOVE that they have $6 wines before 5pm every day. Service was terrific and very quick. The only thing that was a let down was Husband's Smoked Manhattan. It was not smoky at all and was too sweet.
