Postal Fish Company

First time visiting this hidden gem, passers by it many times. The food is cooked perfectly, the chef knows how to balance flavour, texture and eye appeal. My husband and I decided to split the steamed clams, blue sky lettuces, NC Cedar Island Fry, flourless chocolate cake. Kevin, our waiter, was highly knowledgeable, personable and attentive. Highly recommend this seafood restaurant for local veggies, house made desserts and the freshest NC seafood you can find within a couple hrs of the NC coast!!

What an amazing experience! We are traveling through and looked to yelp for a recommendation for dinner so we are paying it forward. This place has incredible food from starter to dessert.I had shrimp and grits and my husband had the fish fry. 100% recommend. The town is adorable too.

WHOA. We were so shocked that it wasn't super busy because the food was incredible. Reasonably priced. Clean restaurant and good service. The food was just amazing.. fried oysters and biscuits were to die for. The main meals were thoughtfully crafted. We will be back

This was our first time here. I made a 6:00 reservation which was unnecessary. Service was friendly, helpful and fast. The ambiance was wonderful - especially for an old post office. It was rainy and cold tonight so their outdoor seating was closed. Looked really nice. We started with the grilled oysters which were some of the best I've ever had. We also ordered the smoked fish dip and pimento cheese for my son who doesn't like fish. My husband had the mushroom risotto and I had the wood fired shrimp. I wanted a veggie but there weren't many options for a side and the salad wasn't my jam. I got the smokehouse lounge to drink and it was yummy! Can't wait to go back.

Postal Fish is a fantastic restaurant. Fresh, local seafood expertly prepared and paired with fresh, local produce. I've enjoyed so many wonderful dishes here - from catfish to drum, shrimp, and scallops. And the biscuits are a mainstay always worth ordering! The wait staff is attentive and it's easy to get a reservation, even at the last minute. I can't say enough great things about this wonderful place.

I now have a new favorite spot and super happy it's only an hour from our home in High Point! We took the day off to visit a Pittsboro since we have not been there in a while and it did not disappoint. Visited several local breweries and finished the night here. We wanted to try loads of things since it was our first time so we had cheddar biscuits, a salad, striped Seabass, and last but not least the most perfect hush puppies I've had in a long, long time!

Always a great experience at Postal. Try a crafted drink like the SeaDucer and enjoy an entree or small plates. Can't go wrong with the roasted oysters, smoked fish dip, raw oysters, any of their roasted vegetables! If you are a butterscotch pudding fan, try it! All seafood is sourced locally from the NC and VA coast. This restaurant is committed to local and the community!

The restaurant was roomy and tables weren't crammed together. This is accessible to those with mobility devices to move around with ease.The waiter was great and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I spoke to the owner after and he was very pleasant also. We drove 45 minutes and it was very worth it.

This place is always solid. The other night, We had the catfish, the clams (simply amazing) and the trout dip (incredible). The relish on the trout dip, ahhh so good! The fried oysters are dried out and too salty so I'd avoid that but... They used to serve bread to start and no longer so that's a bummer. It was that local bread company and it went t sways with Covid I think. Great spot!
