Portobello Ristorante

This family owned restaurant is a hidden gem. My husband stumbled across it and fell in love with not only the delicious but the customer service too. We took our uncle, his family and my mother in law along with her friend, and they absolutely love it. We ate family style. We ordered the pork, meatballs, shrimp Alfredo, and a few other dishes. I cannot wait to visit again when in the Miami area.

The manager or possibly the owner was rude when we entered. He seemed irritated that I use a walker or that we are Senior Citizens. The waitress didn't get the order right. The food was NOT that great. The bill contained 3 items that were questionable. One of them being that the tip was included while soliciting a tip down below. Overall a very bad experience. We don't recommend the place and will never go back. Think twice and enter at your own risk, It was completely empty during our time there. Maybe others know better.

Placed an order through grubhub, when I went to pick it up the guy said that he doesn't work with Grubhub and turned me away. If you are not accepting Grubhub orders you have a responsibility to make sure you aren't showing up on the app in my opinion. He wasn't apologetic nor did he offer to prepare my order while I waited since I was clearly disappointed. He made me feel like, it was my fault for trying to order food from him! It wasn't until after I left that my order was finally cancelled.

Food is Amazing! Never disappointed with the daily specials or menu items. Wine is delicious! Small establishment makes it a "homey" experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Well, it's a quaint place with dim lighting. perfect for a date. Although there were few people there, the waitress basically ignored us. No refills on drinks (at least there is water in a bottle on the table). We tried the Caprese Salad ($15!) but the tomatoes were quartered instead of sliced and they were not very ripe. The cheese was excellent - burrata instead of sliced mozzarella. No basil. Very little balsamic. They brought us one piece of bread each, in a basket. Hard. So sad. I must say, my lasagna was very good though and my date liked the fettuccini Alfredo. But no salad or anything comes with it. Another positive thing was that parking was easy along Coral Way. Pay with the parking app. Not sure it was worth $60. I'll give it another try since the lasagna was good.

Don't fall for the UBER bogo deal. They will just split the one meal. One of our "half plates" had only one teaspoon of salmon. Lemonade was lemon water for nearly $4!! The only thing salvageable was the bruschetta. Never again!!

A well kept secret of coral gables. This charming Italian bistro is as authentic as it gets. Wood beams included! An awesome classic bar for a drink, as well as house/indie music playing! The kind of place. Christopher Multisanti would be caught with his posse. Go for a drink, go do dinner, just go!

Great place for a date night! I've dined here several times now and feel like a review is in order. The restaurant is small and the owner makes you feel at home. At any given time, you'll find about 2-3 other families or couples dining here and he takes the time to chat with everyone as if they are family. The restaurant is clean, decor is modern and if you're looking to buy some artwork, he sells the pieces on the walls. Now, the food. Delicious. For an appetizer, the Arepitas here are amazing and a definite must. They have a perfect crispy outside with flavorful inside. There's also a yelp check in offer for a free order of them - do it! Every time I've dined here we've had the shrimp or the chicken alfredo. The noodles are always cooked perfectly al dente. The Sauce is never too thick or salty, but just right. Other dishes that we've ordered have been the oxtail, pork chops and filet mignon. Every dish has been 5 stars. The only downside is that the portions are pretty small, but honestly it's just enough food for one serving, just don't expect to take home any leftovers.

The interior of this place is everything but charming. The owner apparently took my order and misled me to pick relatively high priced items. I found out when I got there that they have a lunch menu that was half the price. The food is average; I could taste the preservatives in the marinera sauce leading me to think it was a canned sauce. The mushrooms were straight out of can as well.Not so charming interior, misleading information, and food out of a can.
