Poppy's Cafe

Found in the Fareway Market on Germantown Avenue, Chestnut Hill, Poppy's Cafe is a cubbyhole of a shop dealing in good coffee and a few sweet cookie and sliced pound cake to keep their cash register ringing up sales. The multigenerational family running the business is friendly and knowledgeable about their products, and seem to enjoy spreading their information to those customers who ask. I chowed on a fresh chunk of vanilla iced pounder, washed down by a medium roast java lightened with milk. Very pleasant combo for the drive home.

Excellent coffee. Great service. My favorite is a caramel latte. Piping hot and delicious.

Cute little coffee stall at the market. I typically go for a mocha, but wanted to try something different. Had a Perfect 10; steamed milk, espresso, honey, and cinnamon. Super tasty, not too much honey and the cinnamon blended in well. Staff is nice and friendly. They make it to order and I believe they pull the espresso shots individually.

Banana gorilla is a must try relaxing atmosphere and great customer service but the pastries are just as divine

Poppy's Cafe serves up disappointment in a cup. The coffee tasted like it was brewed yesterday, and the tea was about as exciting as a soggy teabag. Save your taste buds the agony and steer clear of this uninspired excuse for a cafe. Don't expect a warm welcome or even a half-hearted attempt at customer satisfaction. Save yourself the displeasure and find a cleaner, friendlier spot to satisfy your caffeine cravings.

I LOVE Poppy's! They are a walk-up-and-order cafe located right in the Chestnut Hill Market. It's easy to access as there is a parking lot specifically for market customers. If you'd like to sit, there is general seating available right by the Poppy's counter.Their steamed bevs are amazing - my personal favorite is the matcha latte with oat milk. The staff are so kind and they always have fresh pastry offerings. Cannot suggest enough! I love supporting this small business.

This is a review solely for their chai latte, seems like maybe I just made the wrong choice. Flavorless and seemed like I just got a warmed up cup of milk with a splash of chai. Really disappointed I spent almost $7 on my warmed milk, did not hit the spot.
