Had another great experience picking up food from Pomodoro's for a family dinner.New for this experience were the fried asparagus - we got it with no crab meat, and bruschetta on the side. We thought it was an awesome dish, not overcooked, nice and thick veggies, and really great flavor!Caprese Pomodoro is as good as it was at their other location - nice thick cuts of mozzarella, fresh tomato, nice olives with bite (not soggy), great light dishThe chicken Marsala was good, my wife described the chicken as a little gummy, but I know not all chicken breast can be perfectly un..gummy? It came with some spaghetti and I ordered the grilled veggies on the side which honestly were amazingly delicious. I think the flavor is good, probably a bit more creamy than I'd like, but overall great flavor and cooked well, but not sure we'd order it again.I enjoyed the food at Pomodoro's, I've always thought their food is solid, tasty, I wish it was a bit lighter but I do think this is what most people look for in their Italian food

Realizing this is a chain or franchise location, we still wanted to try it out and were pleased we did! We stopped in around 5pm on a Tuesday and were planning on sitting in the bar area. The last place that was here had a bartender with a terrible attitude so we were beyond refreshed to meet Matthew - the bar manager. He was friendly, welcoming and eager to suggest his signature cocktails. The menu is typical Italian with a great wine list and a few signature appetizers. We ordered the crab bruschetta and it was so good! That coupled with the cocktails would have us coming back regularly! My hubby tried two different drinks that Matt suggested. They were both refreshing and tasty! One was an "Italian Mermaid", really sweet but good! The other was more like a lemon drop or a spiked sprite. I chose wine for the evening but did taste both drinks. My husband ordered an Italian sausage pizza and was pleased to see it came with real slices of Italian sausage on top unlike some others that use the crumbled sausage. The pizza crust was fresh and hand tossed. I ordered the Pomodoro Penne which came with chicken and sundried tomatoes in an olive oil sauce. My entree was accompanied by a soup or salad. I chose the minestrone. I swear, it's one of the best minestrone soups I've had! I was not a fan of the chicken in the dish as it tasted like low grade chicken or "gamey". I doubt I'd order that dish again. I am interested in trying the primavera though on our next visit. We agreed that the bar area is a friendly atmosphere and would be a perfect spot to share a pizza and a few drinks. We'll definitely be back!

I am disappointed to write this update, because we were so happy when they opened so close to home. But, it seems wrong to only leave my first review posted when it does not reflect my experiences since then. We have returned several more times since my last review, and unfortunately the service and food have left much to be desired; each visit has been worse than the one before. The last time we ate there, it was a late lunch/early dinner and there were only two other tables being served (so they were not busy). The staff of three stood around talking while our food sat waiting to be served. If I had to use one word to describe the food itself the last few times we have eaten here, it would be "underwhelming". Not sure we will return, but if we do AND it improves, I will certainly update my review again.

I love Pomodores is a quaint Italian restaurant inside the neighborhood of Clear Lake. I feel it's a cozy nice place to go to during the week or weekend.

OK...we have eaten here for years and the place is always exceptional, but tonight, 31 DEC 23, was something far beyond. This was the kind of dinner that is served at the table of our Lord and Savior. The veal osso buco was the finest I have ever savored. My wife's filet was spot on. The appetizers and even the soups were above and beyond their standard. And then there was dessert...the chocolata never disappoints and the only way I could describe the chocolate mint bomba would be to have you imagine what the child of Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip and a Girl Scout Thin Mint would be. PLEASE keep this on the menu. The service by Humberto set a standard for others to emulate. Antonia...you have an incredible place that always makes us feel at home (but with far better food than we have at home!). Thank you and Happy New Year!

My wife and I have been driving by this restaurant for almost two years. We decided to come here on our date night mainly because it is close to home. Tre with no Y was our waiter. He dis a splendid job taking care of us. The food was delicious. The ambiance and decor are both refined and relaxing. The service was top-notch. The best part is that we now have an excellent place to enjoy close to our home.

The food was amazing. They offer lunch at half the cost. I had lunch with my sister and it was perfect. Full price menu during dinner hours is a stretch.

Had dinner here with family a few nights ago, and I'd say we had a good experience.First things first, as you walk in you'll see that they have a decent sized bar area to the right and a good sized dining area to the left. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Our family had already ordered appetizers - we got the fritto misto and crab bruschetta. The fritto misto was good and has a lot of calamari. The bruschetta was tasty, but couldn't really taste the crab much. They also had good garlic bread for starters. For mains I got the chicken cacciatore with spaghetti. The chicken was nice and tender, the sauce on the cacciatore was good, and the pasta was cooked a little over al dente but still wasn't bad - overall a good dish. That came with soup or salad and I got a fagioli soup which was good but nothing to rave about. We needed the meal with a few of their home made desserts. We got the tiramisu, strawberry bomba, and panna cotta - the bomba being the best one of them all. Can't end the review without mentioning the great service we got from Humberto which made the whole experience enjoyable.Overall, if you're looking for a local chain Italian dinner spot with great service this is a good spot. Skip the garden and come here!

I like their pizzas. The bartenders are all very nice. The take out Lasagne? Never again. The large portion made up for its bland taste. It was just so meh. No taste. I ate half of it. Who eats half of a lasagne portion? Very disappointed in the $17.00 portion.
