Plant Cakes Bake Shop

I got the double chocolate and apple cider donut. I came in craving a donut but it tasted more like a cake. The apple cider donut was straight up inedible. If you know what fabuloso cleaner smells like, the donut actually tasted like it. Would not recommend.

I've had many vegan and gluten free donuts and bakery items along the way...this is absolutely the best!! So good we went back the next day for another. This is a cake style donut that isn't overly sweet. It's just the right amount of donut and sweetness. I had no idea they also made cinnamon rolls! We came on Sunday as well and this Goliath was eyeballing me from behind the glass. So amazing!

We tried the Plant Cakes Bake Shop and while the assortment was impressive we didn't really like the taste or consistency of the items we bought. If you have food allergies or are needing plant-based foods for health or other reasons, this store is a great option or alternative. As we don't have dietary restrictions, we visited to support a local bakery. The employees were friendly and the service was relatively fast. The atmosphere was welcoming, well-lit and clean. Items cost a bit more, but the ingredients may be more expensive, so that's reasonable. Street parking available.

I love the quaint streets at Wake Forest so when I found out there was a vegan bakery I was happy to take my friend and head over there. It wasn't busy and we were waited on promptly. I did not purchase gluten free products, just the vegan product. Cupcakes were delicious the only item I wasn't crazy about was the cookies and cream donut. It seemed dry to me. Great way to treat yourself if vegan and in the area. They have a nice selection of flavors.

I ordered cupcakes for my Birthday this year! They were so delicious! All who ate them; vegans and non-vegans alike were amazed by these cupcakes. They service was great! Ordering was so easy and without issue.

Vegan bakery and ice cream shop.Stopped in this cute bakery and really enjoyed the baked goods and the ice cream.They have gluten free doughnuts and vegan cupcakes everything looks yummy, I bought a vegan chocolate cupcake for my husband- he didn't know any difference- I gave it to him he ate it and said it was good ( never told him it was vegan)I had the twist Dairy free ice cream in a red velvet waffle cone - it was So good!We will make a road trip again just to stop here!

Today was my first visit but I think I'll be back weekly. I am both gluten and dairy free because of a disorder and it's VERY difficult to find pastries that adhere to that diet, but these were absolutely amazing. I got a strawberry donut, a cookies and crème donut, and a cinnamon roll (not gf) for my husband. My sister and I both had a cinnamon iced latte and they were absolutely delicious - not too sweet, just the right amount of flavor. The place is so cute inside, and the person at the counter was so patient as I asked a million questions. They gave my daughter a free juice box as well. I would come back daily if my wallet allowed. Thank you SO much for a wonderful Saturday TREAT.

I've heard many gluten free people RAVE about how good this place is so I decided to give it a try. Oh. My. God. They were not lying. First, the staff was so friendly and gave lots of information. Second, both gluten-free and regular are separated from each other in different cases. Third, you literally cannot tell this is gluten free. It was so dang good. I devoured it right in the parking lot. I will absolutely be coming back a million times over. It was so good. I plan on recommending this to anyone I know that's gluten free and hopefully can use them for my own birthday cakes! They offer a selection of cookies, donuts, and cupcakes. They do have canned coffee but I didn't like that. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience.

The place in Wake Forest for decadent, flavorful vegan desserts. While driving through downtown Wake Forest craving sweets, we came upon Plant Cakes Bake Shop. We excitedly realized it was a vegan bakery that also serves gluten-free items. The donuts in the display case first caught my eye, then the unique waffle cone flavors. I decided on a cookies and cream donut with an orange waffle cone filled with dairy-free vanilla ice cream and rainbow sprinkles. The items were delicious! I particularly like the flavorful orange cone paired with vanilla soft serve. I have seen coated waffle cones before, but not flavored ones. The orange was definitely more flavorful than the red velvet. Prices and portions are comparable to similar establishments. Overall great place for desserts especially if you are gluten-free or vegan!

This spot is really good! The gluten free options are the best gluten free options Ive had and that vegan cinnamon roll is on point! If you, or someone you love, has dietary restrictions, this is the place to go.
