I met Nate at the Yelp Badge Event and we struck up a conversation as we waited in line for what seemed to be forever. He told me he was the owner of PJ's Coffee in Spring Branch and would be hosting a Yelp event the first week of February. He even invited me to come by the cafe prior to the Yelp event but my schedule got busy so I figured I'd see him at the Yelp event. Unfortunately, I was waitlisted for that event and never got in but, I still decided to take Nate up on his offer and stop by the cafe on a Friday afternoon. When I got there, I was immediately excited to see ample parking AND the fact that they had a drive thru for easy access. I parked and walked in w. my fav Yelp girlie in anticipation of what we were about to experience. The cafe was pretty huge which makes for a great space to work from. There were two patrons at a table, and a few that walked in before and after us. For a Friday, I have to say they had pretty good foot traffic. There was a young lady at the counter and she got Nate for us who came to greet us and took our orders. He walked us through the menu and pointed out certain things that were a must have. I ended up getting the frozen lemonade but with peach and mango, mixed with green tea. I added a side of mini beignets (broke my diet) just to see if it compared to the ones I've had in NOLA! As we waited for our snack and drinks to be ready, we grabbed a seat and played several table games such as Connect 4, XO and Jenga. Within 3-4 mins, our items were ready. I really liked the beignets and the minis were perfect because they were easy to eat. My drink was good too and not too sweet because of the green tea I had them add on. We were there for about an hour and a half, meaning, the space was comfortable enough to hang out in. Had I brought my computer, it would have been much longer. I made a few suggestions to Nate directly but one I forgot to mention was installing charging outlets into the tables that are in the center of the cafe. There are no outlets near by so that would be helpful. PJs is a franchise and this location is about 8 months old so please support them! Ensuring Black owned businesses thrive is critical, especially when they are bringing something unique to the cafe world. Nate, thank you for the invite and I'll certainly be back with my laptop next time to get some work done.

I decided to check this location since it's 10 mins from my office. I've never been to a PJ's for coffee. When I arrived, I noticed the sign and a small sign on one of the lot's entrances. There's a drive thru right at the entrance on the corner opposite the furniture store. Parking was busy at around 1 pm maybe because of the Tex Mex place next door. People in trucks were coming and going. I walked in, and it was empty inside. I think it would be a good place to do some remote work with a caffeine pick-me-up and pastries. Nathan, the owner, was so helpful and gave me a brief history and the low down on some food/drink items they sell. Croissants are made daily, and the granita is unique to PJ's. I had to try the beignets which are made fresh to order and also have dipping sauces - chocolate, strawberry, caramel. I opted for the powdered ones without sauce to taste the actual flavor. It's delicious and has flaky layers like a croissant or cronut. I bought a box to share with my co-managers and admin staff. It also comes in a cinnamon sugar coating like a churro. I ordered the regular granita which was a nice, strong iced coffee like a slushie. Also comes in mocha flavor, and you can add extra syrup flavors. I may try hazelnut next time. I also had the spinach and feta croissant which was beautiful and tasty. I love the intricate lattice detailing. It was flaky and had enough filling ratio to taste the spinach and feta with the croissant itself. In addition, they also have egg bites, bagels, and other snacks for purchase. I'm loving all the themed drinks and specials whether it's Mardi Gras season or to rep SBISD's play like Shrek.I absolutely love that they feature Spring Branch ISD students with artwork and their theater program. They also give 10% teacher/educator discounts with your ID badge. As someone who works in the education setting, I dig it. I know I'll be visiting this PJ's when I need a break from the office!!

When I ordered my food to go, it looked like a half-eaten biscuit - definitely not what I was expecting

Having my heart set on beignets the day after Christmas, I decided to support the Spring Branch location of PJ's Coffee. I've tried beignets in Houston (Crescent City, Shipley's), but for me, nothing here has ever topped Café du Monde beignets in the French Quarter. Yet the beignets I ordered from the PJ's drive thru were excellent, although of a different more croissant-like texture with layers. So, don't go here expecting Café du Monde texture or flavor. That said, I would rate the beignets a 5/5 because PJ's version of beignets is really good. Where my experience went south is in the area of beverage service. I ordered a café au lait with a choice of medium blend. The order taker then came back and said they were out of medium. Then I was offered the seasonal blend. And rather absurdly, the guy came back and said they were out of seasonal. Then he mentioned hazelnut, so I selected that knowing this is probably not going to be the café au lait I am accustomed to. They should really just state on the menu if they offer chickory coffee. So, I took one sip of the hazelnut coffee (1/5) and thought it tasted absolutely awful. When we drove back to the ordering station, the friendly, professional guy who took the order was gone. In his place? The unfriendly, deadpan barista who was brusque and lacked holiday cheer. Getting her to understand what constitutes a true café au lait proved difficult, and the barista said she went by what was printed on the receipt - which is not correct and she did not follow anyways. Still, she also basically didn't understand what café au lait is, so I asked to exchange the mediocre coffee for a frozen lemonade (0/5), which was even worse. No tartness, no lemon flavor, not sweet. Haha. So, basically I want a refund from this business. But I wouldn't mind going back just for the beignets.

A really good sized and well decorated coffee shop here in SB. There's a drive through and even board games inside to keep you occupied. This feels like a great study place, plenty of natural light and seating to accommodate. The music is playing some concept appropriate New Orleans style jazz. The girls upfront were helpful in choosing some coffees as this was our first time coming. Got a seasonal pumpkin latte and a Bananas Foster Cold Brew with Sweet Foam. I thought both offered the flavors exactly as advertised and were reasonably priced for as far as coffee prizes go nowadays. The food here is mostly the premade and then warmed in a toaster variety, I typically stay away from the stuff. There's some breakfast sandwiches and some pastries. But the one thing that was great were the fresh made beignets. For sure I think that these were fried up to order as they came out nice and hot. They are more croissants than donut, but are a nice treat.

Visited PJs again after there last issue where they retracted a promotion they sent me and wouldn't honor it. Received an email again from pjs for a promotion of a Mother's Day of a free cold brew and wouldn't honor it. Though I set up my email notifications from this location, but they won't honor there on promotions !!! Unbelievable!! Don't visit this location!!!

Finally the much anticipated PJ's is in the Branch! From what it used to be the place looks beautiful outside, plenty of parking and a DRIVE THRU, YUP no need to get out of your vehicle for your coffee fix! The place is huge with plenty of seating everywhere, the windows are huge and makes the space feel big. Since it's new, it's nice, shiny and clean. The service was great and everyone was very nice. There are plenty of coffee choices to choose from as well as breakfast and other flavored drinks. My order did not take long to come out and my Beignet was delicious and fluffy. The only thing I do wish that it had a bit more of the NOLA vibe, I feel that it is too cold?. Obviously it just opened they have a lot to do so we shall see! But overall I'm so happy to have another coffee spot in Spring Branch!

The coffee was below average. Just tasted like icy milk. I went through the drive through. It was fast i guess? I didn't go inside. The beignets were delicious. I'd definitely go back just for those. I don't think you should try the coffee, but maybe they just didn't make the velvet ice right. Pretty reasonably priced.

Iced Mocha Latte-- HIT THE SPOT! If you like good, strong mocha this one is the one. It's similar to frappe consistency so drink it slow, but strong enough with the right balance between coffee and mocha. Went through the drive thru and it was quick!

This place is one of the best in the Spring Branch area. Who doesn't love a local coffee joint, serving up bold, unique coffee drinks, and have some good bites to eat... there's only one that I know of, and that's PJ's Coffee Spring Branch!Where do I even start... there's plenty to explore. Their food/drink menu was amazing, the atmosphere and decor was inviting, the staff was energetic and welcoming, the music was jazzy and super cool, and the people were great! If you're a coffee lover, this place is the place for you. This event totally hit the spot, and I totally didn't(actually did) stay up till 2AM after drinking all that coffee because I LOVE COFFEE!What to eat? Cuban sandwiches are my jam dude, an underrated sandwich but man it was super tasty here! What to drink? I would say pretty much anything I had was super cool and awesome. You can't go wrong, especially now with the Mardi Gras special drinks!
