Pizza Shackamaxon

One slice of pepperoni and one can of Diet Coke was $8.64. The pizza has a crispy bottom and perfect amount of toppings. The pizza isn't super saucy and not overloaded with cheese. It has a great dough to topping ratio. Very good slice of pizza with no complaints.

Weird split here in which I'd rate this place a solid 9/ 10 taste and quality wise. The pizza is in fact really good! But a slice of cheese should really never be more than $4. It's comical to pay $8 for a slice of thin crust pepperoni with tip. Especially as it's a space specifically designed for to-go's. Like it's a slice shop! With a slice window! 2 cheese slices with tip should be $10. The way to do it here is to get a pie and split it with friends. Otherwise it's really a solid hit to your wallet with little sustenance.

Meh. Maybe it was an off day but the slices here just did not hit. This was stop 1 of a Pizza crawl and they just missed the mark. The ingredients just were not great and the pizza just tasted old. They have a few tables to sit on but they are dirty and in direct sunlight which is not ideal for summer. I would skip this spot unless it's the only place open on your way home and you are craving a slice.

For Philly, this is a fantastic slice of pizza. Thin crust, nice amount of pepperoni & not too saucy. We got a pie to save some for the next day but it was so good we couldn't stop eating it fresh. The wait for a full pie is around 20 minutes and since it's in a great area you can walk around until it's done. Highly recommend.

I went out of my way here and I was disappointed. Maybe I would eat here if I lived here, but otherwise, I wouldn't.

I've been coming here for the last 3 years and it's definitely my top pizza spot in Philly. You can never go wrong with the special, I have enjoyed every slice I've had. Love the tomato pie and pepperoni too (esp with hot honey). I will say their service can be a bit prompt and cold at times but not enough to ever stop me from coming lol. Limited outdoor seating and parking can be a pain. Prices have gone up over the last year to $6-7ish a slice but they are pretty big!!

I wasn't a fan of this place. The crust is crispy, which is something I don't look for in a pizza. I prefer a chewier crust so if you like crispy crust- this place might be more up your alley.I tried the special which was a garlic ricotta pizza. The flavors were pretty muted, in my opinion. I do appreciate the size of the spices because these slices were MASSIVE!! I probably won't be coming back. Philly has so many pizza spots that I think deserve more attention.

OK, I tried again and liked the pizza more this time after taking it home and letting it cool down a bit. Good to know! I wish they'd regularly post the specials on Instagram because it's nice to know ahead of time.

Pizza was ok but very pricey. And when paying the bill noticed they gave themselves a $20 tip! For me to drive there, order at the window, wait for them to cook it, and pick it up ..... all they did was cook it. What did I pay for????? The pizza itself is about $20-$25 a pie!
