This place is pretty darn good. Four of us were in town for a conference and this place is in immediate walking distance. It is clean? Not too loud, good Chicago sports memorabilia on the walls. The server and waitress were friendly. Good selection of beer. I had a local IPA. It was cold and citrusy! We had the salad, fried pasta, and deep dish pizza. They were good. Nice place. Drop in.

So this seemed to be popular, however we realized it was not busy more because of the basketball game and our conference attendees in the area.Since it was just the 2 of us on a break from our business conference the long wait shortened and we were seated outside.The ambiance outside was nice due to the weather and seating spaces.The waitress was hot and cold, where she was patient at one point and not at other points. As this was our first time in this city and we wanted to try a good deep dish pizza, I wish we would have waited to review and find a place that could answer our questions.The deep dish to me was not flavorful nor deep. I've had cheesier and deeper dish pizzas outside of Chicago than the ones that came out to our table at this place.I kept trying to get the waitresses attention but she would never look our way or check on us. We wanted to keep the menu to possibly order other items and take a photo. We could only get her to our table by asking the bus boys who seemed clueless and like they didn't want to be there or help.We ordered drinks, me just a Gingerale, however it didn't taste right and it took me a while to get the waitress attention again. But when she did come she seemed happy and easy to resolve and did for this.When it came time for us to get the check, she was very adamant, after us only asking once, that she could not split the check and confirmed with other tables the same. The table next to us didn't seem too pleased by it either.I mean we were there in business with new ppl we were networking with using business cards so we could not share checks. The location alone brings many ppl who would need to split a check accurately.She said we could however provide 2 cards and let her know how much to charge each. I thought it would have been simple to just ring us up individually instead of then having us waste time to calculate exactly when you were able to use separate payments.It's 2024 so by now all businesses should have this simple feature together.I'm glad I was able to make up this experience in this new city at a different place...

In Chicago on business. Dodged the myriad beggars and plumes of weed smoke on the way from my Air B & B to Pizano's. Why does anyone choose to live in this hellscape? The armpit of the Midwest. What a toilet. Ponied up to the bar & ordered a chicken parm dinner and a Peroni on draft. Beer wasn't exactly flat but didn't have much of a head either. Food won't make me forget about the stellar casual Italian joints in NJ, but was still well above average. Bartender was a sweetheart of a gentleman as well. I'd return, but I'm hoping to never set foot in this city again as long as I live. My Uber to the airport can't arrive quickly enough.

Met a friend who was in town for a trade show here for dinner. The vibe is classic Chicago-- there seemed to be a nice mix of visitors and local peeps blended into the wood and sports bar decor. We grabbed seats at the bar right away and had great service from the bartender-- it's a straightforward menu and the food's portions, prices, and flavors do the job (very good). Chicken Parm for my friend and I had Roberts Favorite Pasta which was good, but too oily to get again. Overall a nice meal.

I really liked this place. The tortellini with vodka sauce was delish; huge portion. Husband got the wings, which were great. Ambiance and decor is exactly what you'd expect at an Italian spot. Great service. Couldn't ask for more, really. We ate inside, but the patio seating looked very inviting.

It was my first time in Chicago for a conference. While I wasn't planning to get out and see the city due to a packed schedule, I had hoped to have some Chicago style pizza. I was happy when I found a spot right near my hotel! A friend (who is a Chicago native) and I came in and were seated right away. Casual with a sports bar feel, there was a lot to look at. My friend had fun talking about her memories of the local sports hero's featured on the walls. The drinks were great, the waiter was super friendly, and the pizza was fantastic!! I've had many Chicago style pizzas outside of Chicago, but the real thing didn't disappoint. Tangy and cheesy and thick- it was delicious! We also splurged on dessert, the ice cream cookie was tasty. I was very happy with our meal. I might have even ordered another pizza to go the next night to enjoy in my room as I worked.... I did. I did do that.

Went in on a Saturday early evening. The bar which is very large was about half full. For the first fifteen minutes there was only one bartender. He came by and took my drink order and another ten minutes went by and nothing. I asked a nearby waiter for help and then a manager came over and poured me a drink, albeit the wrong drink. Nevertheless another bartender came over and she was very apologetic and fixed my drink order and took my food order. I ordered deep dish with sausage and it was very good. The crust is deep dish but it is crispy which I found to be good. I see some folks don't like that but it worked well for me. The sausage and sauce had a lot of flavor. The service improved as the meal went on and in the end, I am leaving content. Since I am from out of town, I would probably try a different place next time.
