Absolutely delicious. We went on an impromptu date night and we got the lamb meatballs which were SO unique, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We also got the pesto pie which is red sauce and cheese with a pesto swirl. The crust was perfect, the pesto was earthy and delicious, and it wasn't too cheesy. We will definitely be coming back. If I had to complain I'd say the food took a while to get to us but it seemed there were only two waiters for the entire place, and this wouldn't stop me from coming back. GO HERE!!!

I love Detroit pizza, but I would not come here again. We ordered Mary's Pesto Pie and Sausage and Pepper Pizza, both Detroit style, with an extra charge. The crust was fluffy, but the flavors were lacking. The sausage and pepper pizza felt like I was just eating bread with marinara sauce, as there weren't many toppings. The balance of ingredients was off, making the pizza feel incomplete and unsatisfying. Mary's Pesto Pie was slightly better because it at least had an even amount of pesto drizzle, but it still didn't make up for the overall lack of flavor.

We came for here for an early Sunday lunch. There was just one table being occupied when we arrived and another party arrived while we were waiting for our food. The staff was great, very friendly, and the food was delicious. I just hope it doesn't stay slow like this throughout the day. We ordered their Detroit style Pepperoni Pizza. A square cut pizza with eight slices. It's a very thick pizza. There's more dough and anything. A lot of cheese as well. I would have preferred more sauce and pepperoni and less cheese, but overall a very delicious and filling pizza. The crust was honestly the best part. I will definitely be returning to try a couple of their other options.

I rarely try new pizza places. I hate risking disappointment, but ordering Pistores was totally worth the risk. I saw the pictures online for the Detroit-style pizza and knew I needed to try it. I ordered delivery through a delivery app for a Detroit-style pizza with sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, and jalapeno as my toppings. The ingredients tasted fresh and the size is perfect for 2 people with leftovers for the next day. I look forward to trying their pesto pizza in the future.

Out of this world. So good. Who'd think I'd be enjoying Detroit style pizza so much in Chicago. Get a detroit style pizza. We also ordered wings with the pizza below. Everything was fantastic. Service was good and decor was great. I'd frequent this place if I was local

Cute spot with some tasty items, but over priced for what you get in my opinion. The two of us walked out with almost a $90 bill. Not surprising for the area necessarily, but there are other spots I'd rather go back to. The service was ok. It was FREEZING cold inside and it seemed like other customers were cold as well, but none of the staff seemed to either notice or care, which I found unfortunate. Our server seemed surprised when we mentioned it was freezing inside. But then didn't do anything about it or really respond in any meaningful way other than, "oh really?"The hummus was tasty, but it was $20, on the small side, and only served with 2 pitas. The pitas were unique in how light and airy they were. I much prefer the pita and hummus from Ema in the area and it comes with as much pita/veggies as you need. The pizza I expected to be much better than it was. The dough was crispy, with a nice balance across chewiness, structure, crispness, and flavor, but the toppings were extremely lackluster. We got the ham and pineapple and a pesto, both of which were plain tasting. The coffee cake was delicious and we also enjoyed the raspberry macaron.

Food is always good- breakfast, baked goods or dinnerCasual/ hole in the wall ambiance which is also cozy and comforting.I think the servers are kind and friendly too but the restaurant is way too understaffed and not ran efficiently. For two visits in a row (once for breakfast and another time for dinner) we waited over an hour for our food to come out. We were told- For breakfast, our order wasn't entered and for dinner, our dough didn't rise enough. Sadly we didn't hear any explanation for why our order was running late until at least 40 min into the wait. We were getting increasingly frustrated as tables that arrived much later than us (still after at least 30 min of wait) receiving their food way before us without any explanation. Both times they tried to make up by giving us a free cup of coffee (breakfast) and a free cocktail (dinner) but we would rather not wait. We know it's not necessarily the servers' faults and they are understaffed but this type of recurring delays is making us hesitant to revisit- which is unfortunate because the food is delicious.Also- over half of the cocktails in the menu were not available- but we weren't told about it proactively. Rather we learned as we ordered them and were told they were not available. You'd think such would be notified beforehand especially if more than half of them is unavailable.

This was selected by a friend and we really enjoyed eating here! We were seated by their window so we had the whole table and area to ourselves. We ordered two pizzas and a bunch of shareables. The drinks were delicious. My drink was a limonchello which was smooth but more like a digestive than alcohol (which, in hindsight, was a great thing. There were some interesting sounding drinks based on desserts, which my friends enjoyed. The shareables were AMAZING! The creamy corn and pepper salad was the best of them all. The beet root salad, the pasta, the octopus were all really really good but the corn blew everything else out of the park. My wild mushroom soup was a mushroom lover's dream! Very strong in mushroom with a base of cream. It was perfect - by itself and with the bread. The pizzas were a little disappointing after such an exciting start. The pesto one was really really good. The goat cheese one was not very good in the sense that, instead of making goat cheese the star of the pizza, they added lots of bacon pieces, which tried to overpower (but didn't completely succeed) the goat cheese. I love goat cheese so I really just wanted to taste goat cheese, which I didn't get. The crust was also a little too crusty for me. Having said this, their service was good, most of the food was good, and their desserts looked very tasty (even though we were so stuffed that we didn't order those). I recommend them!!

Pistores is a new restaurant that has very solid thin crust pizza with an open air ambiance, perfect for a warm evening. Their meatball pizza was perfectly charred and had the right amount of tang from the sauce. They also have a good selection of wines as the cherry on top.

The only reason why I gave this place four stars is because I wasn't a fan of their chicken wings. It was lacking salt ,flavor was there and I get it they wanted to be different but I wasn't a fan . The pizza on the other hand was phenomenal. I was a little spectacle when my boyfriend said he got the Detroit style, but by far that is the best deep dish I've tasted in the city. The pesto really did give it a great taste ,even my daughter loved. I will definitely come back to try some of their desserts and other foods.
